He’s inconsistent! Don’t forget the warm reception he gave Emma Bonino. I know I’m preaching to the choir because I sense your irony.

Pope Francis Likens Abortion to Nazi Eugenics
Pontiff tells a family association that ‘to have an easy life, one does away with an innocent.’

    ......

Francis spoke off-the-cuff to a meeting of an Italian family association, ditching his prepared remarks to speak from the heart about families and the trials they undergo. He lamented how some couples choose not to have any children, while others resort to prenatal testing to see if their baby has any malformations or genetic problems.

“The first proposal in such a case is, ‘Do we get rid of it?’” Francis said. “The murder of children. To have an easy life, they get rid of an innocent.”

Francis recalled that as a child he was horrified to hear stories from his teacher about children “thrown from the mountain” if they were born with malformations.

“Today we do the same thing,” he said. “Last century, the whole world was scandalised by what the Nazis did to purify the race. Today, we do the same thing but with white gloves.”

The pope urged families to accept children “as God gives them to us.”

The murder of children. To have an easy life, they get rid of an innocent
    POPE FRANCIS
Francis has repeated the strict anti-abortion stance of his predecessors and integrated it into his broader condemnation of what he calls today’s “throwaway culture”. He has frequently lamented how the sick, the poor, the elderly and the unborn are considered unworthy of protection and dignity by a society that prizes instead individual prowess.

He has also decried how women are often considered part of this “throwaway culture,” sometimes forced to prostitute themselves.

“How many of you pray for these women who are thrown away, for these women who are used, for these girls who have to sell their own dignity to have a job?” Francis asked during his morning homily on Friday.

    =======================================
and according to Spirit Daily he also said:

"Pope Francis likened abortion to Nazi eugenics practiced “with white gloves,” and said the only real families are those based on marriage between a man and a woman, using uncharacteristically blunt language on two controversial moral issues."

Who was the author of the 'prepared remarks'?

Let's all keep praying for Pope Francis, that this exemplary side of his character come more and more to the fore, as he draws ever nearer to He who is to Judge.

Why is he working with a Nazi collaborator?

Why does he praise the woman with white gloves?

Pope Francis, I believe, has stated that he goes to confession at least biweekly. This picture is from a few years ago. Let us pray that both their hearts have been impacted by this sublime sacrament since then!

Safe in the Unfathomable Mercy of God!

Do you think that his heart has changed sufficiently to remove the population control advocates from the Pontifical Academy for Life? I'll believe him when I see them replaced by people with genuine pro-life, anti-Nazi credentials. It would be a bonus if they were Catholics but pro-life Catholics in the papal entourage are rather thin on the ground these days so even non-Catholics with a pro-life track record would be a sign that his recent statement reflects what he truly believes rather than an insurance policy against any correction or a future (faithful) Pope confining his Papal exhortations to the dustbin.

    Dolours,

I'm not saying that the heart of Francis is currently at odds with his actions, nor am I dissing your "I'll believe him when I see..." frustrations. I must believe and assert that prayer and fasting is the means God has given to rectify the situation. Personally, any dwelling on my part in a continual lament of our current downward spiral will serve only to push me in the direction of hopelessness.:barefoot:

I'm not blind, but only seek to make use of the weapons at hand.(y)

2 Cor 10: 3 For though we live in the world we are not carrying on a worldly war, 4 for the weapons of our warfare are not worldly but have divine power to destroy strongholds.

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

The strange thing is, Jesus was accused of keeping company with tax collectors and sinners. The very people devout Jews would feel contaminated by if they were to come even near them.

Then on the other hand the strange irony, devout Jews who were well respected, only came to speak with Jesus in secret. For they feared being criticised or ostracised by their own respectable faithful brethren. Now....there is a conundrum. I wonder if God is trying to get a message across to us through this topsy turvy Holy Father. Me thinks it is best to Keep Watch and continue to Pray, for God to save us in this storm, lest we perish.

It's not that he met her Julia. I have no problem with him meeting people --

He called her 'one of Italy's forgotten greats'.

I have a problem with that. She is an abortionist and a reprobate not a 'great'.

DeGaulle, Maybe Pope Francis has realized the gravity of what occurred in Ireland by the passing of the referendum and the celebrations that occurred afterwards.
I think that this may have been a wake up call for many of us, at least I hope that it was and I am not referring to the community here on MOG of course. Although personally, I feel I could have and should have done more to help by praying more, fasting more and sinning less, etc.

I think that we all feel that Pope Francis and the Vatican in general should have spoke up more against this evil prior to the vote. I also think that most of us believe that the actions of the Vatican in the last four years should have made it more apparent that they stand firmly against this evil. I am not certain that any of these things would have made a difference but now many of us may be feeling somewhat guilty and rightfully so including Pope Francis. Unfortunately, many times it takes something large in magnitude like what occurred in Ireland to wake us up. Now, a similar situation is occurring in Argentina but there the vote is in the hands of their Senate. I think we should continue to pray as many of us have been doing.

I think that even some of those in high positions in various Protestant churches are also taking notice of some things that have occurred recently in regards to the Church and they are also being woken up in a sense. I am not referring to the criticism that the Church has and will continue to get but an actual sense that something very grave is occurring, something that will have an adverse effect on the whole world but hopefully they also realize that no one person or institution is to blame, most of us bare some responsibility. :(

Given the Pope's track record, I smell a rat but I would be overjoyed to be proved wrong.

There is no need to be civil with those who hold heretical viewpoints.

Our Lord was not civil when He chased the money changers out of the Temple.

There is a time for civility and a time to be harsh.

If you are civil with a heretic you lend credence to his point of view, when such viewpoints deserve no credence at all.

No one spouting heresy has a right to be heard. Ever.

Don, Here is more about Cardinal Cupich, https://acatholiclife.blogspot.com/2014/09/cardinal-george-replacement-will-be.html .

This past February he made a presentation on Amoris Laetitia in Cambridge, England encouraging a paradigm shift in the Church. In addition, he blasphemed the Holy Family at the end of the presentation which is among so many other issues with this speech. A question and answer session is offered beginning @42 min. mark but nothing is debated. Iow, a question is presented by a member in the audience and Cardinal Cupich supplies an answer which some times is riddled with falsehoods and then they just move on to another question and answer and so on. So basically, this is a small example of what Michael Voris is mentioning in the video that you provided and I am sure that Cardinal Cupich received a lot of mail from orthodox Catholics about this presentation because imo it is just horrendous. I am glad that Michael Voris is speaking up in defense of those who are speaking up in defense of the Truth.
