To those who are able - my family could really use any prayer support at the moment. One of my family has revealed that they have made 2 serious attempts on their life since Christmas. Not only has this come as a complete shock but I do not understand why the family was not informed. I think it is must be to do with patient privacy. Anyhow, the important thing now is to pray. I have had a really tough Lent and this only strengthens my resolve to join any sufferings with others and with Jesus. Life just never stands still, does it.

Young people today having grown up with helicopter parents and the pressures of total conformity to the destruction of natural law by their peers have a very rough time if their faith is not very firm. The mob mentality of total tolerance these days with kids is incredible. My wifes family would never openly talk about anything like that so I can relate to what you are going through finding out so long after the fact. Mine on the other hand would gossip endlessly over such a thing.
Pray especially the First Sorrowful Mystery the Agony in the Garden for poor souls tormented by suicidal thoughts and actions.
