I wonder.I wonder. Since these Idols were actually brought into St Peters and by Cardinals, the Sucessors of the Apostles Bishops and with the consent of the Holy Father., the Vicar of Christ..if this in fact could be what it speaks of in the Book of Daniel..?

Could this be the ultimate desecration, the Abomination of Desolation ?

    Matthew 24:15

"So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel--let the reader understand--

I think not Padraig. St. Alphonsus Liguori argued the the Abomination of Desolation occurs when the Antichrist suppresses the Holy Mass and creates a counterfeit. We're getting there, but...

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

"There" is probably when the ideas of Liberation Theologian Boff are fully implemented (if God ever allows it to happen).

Boff is the real inspiration behind Laudato Si and this synod.

    Some quotes from the man:

“We are water, air, earth, and life of the environment” Just stop thinking of the Earth as an object—and start loving yourself as Earth.

“Love leads us to identify ever more with the Earth,” explains Boff. “We must think ourselves as Earth, feel ourselves as Earth, love ourselves as Earth. Earth is the great living subject feeling, loving, thinking and through us knowing that it thinks, loves, and feels.”

“Then we can be mountain, sea, air, road, tree, animal,” promises Boff.

“The new paradigm that is coming to birth—that of connectedness—will be the basis of a universal religion that will only be truly universal if it seeks convergences in religious diversity,” explains Boff. He says the universal religion’s convergent “supreme value” will be the preservation of planet Earth.

Boff, for his part, is fiercely critical of the “arrogant” anthropocentrism embodied in Gen. 1:28: “Be fertile and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it.”

“These texts present a clear call to limitless demographic growth and unrestricted dominium terrae,” he warns.

“Our species is a threat to all other species; it is terribly aggressive and is proving to be a geocide, an ecocide, and a true Satan of the Earth,” warns Boff.

“Gaia may eliminate [our species], very painfully, in order to allow the overall balance to remain and so that other species might live and continue the cosmic thrust of evolution,” says Boff.

"we need to recover “the aspect of truth in paganism, with its rich pantheon of divinities inhabiting all the spaces in nature.”

“To cure humankind of its polytheism, early Christianity subjected the faithful to a violent and harsh medication. With the existence of the gods denied, many doors of the soul were closed,” Boff laments.

“Shamanism arises out of this interpretation of reality,” the eco-theologian continues. Shamans use “gestures, dances, and rites” to put “energies at the disposal of human beings as they seek balance with nature and with themselves.”

“All must awaken within themselves this shamanistic dimension,” Boff says.

  7. Amazonian 'Way of the Cross' prayed during Vatican's Amazon synod

    A portion of article:

    .........
After this initial ceremony, the “Way of the Cross” itself began with its 14 stations, plus an added 15th station dedicated to the resurrection. A large wooden cross, in which a rosary and photographs of the martyrs were nailed, headed the entourage.

The 14 stations were adapted from the traditional Stations of the Cross, and each station was accompanied by a phrase or theme: "human rights," "the great projects of 'development' in the Amazon Basin," "reconciliation," "encounter," "the cultures of Panamazonía," " a call for all,” “ the destruction of nature,” and others.

At the end of each station, a different person read a brief reflection. Among the messages that were conveted was that “Mother Earth weeps for the excessive exploitation that is committed in the 9 countries of the Panamazonía.”

Forgiveness was also requested “for the mistakes made as a Church and as humanity; especially through of the abuses of colonization, the systematic violence to human rights and the ethnocide carried out of so many peoples throughout the continent.”

One reflection warned that "scientists and environmentalists presage darkness and shadows of death for our land if we do not stop the indiscriminate use of resources." Therefore, "the call as Church is to announce the Gospel of Jesus and denounce the abuses that Sister Mother Earth experiences."

Upon arriving at St. Peter's Square, while meditating on the final station, some participants lay on the ground, upon the photographs of the so-called martyrs of the Amazon, pretending to be dead. At the end of the 15th station, dedicated to the Resurrection, the people lying on the ground rose, conveying resurrection from the dead, and raising their hands to heaven in thanksgiving.

Finally, one woman’s face was painted with Amazonian signs, and adorned her with a crown of feathers, and then raised overhead in a canoe, amid songs and applause from participants. (remind you of anything? esp. in that technicolor production of such??)

Jesus meets the woman at the well. He does not hold back the Truth and in fact for the purpose of conversion He seems to reveal more of the Truth to just those who were living and accepting the finite results of their sin.

Woman to Jesus: Where do you get that living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob? He gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and his livestock."

    Jesus said:
"Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again,"

God has placed a natural thirst, to know and worship Him, in every human being. Satan realizes this and attempts to lead the ones who do not recognize the true God, into Idol worship, astrology, witchcraft, etc.

    Jesus:
You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews."

And because the real Truth was revealed such a woman was not only enlivened but became rather instantly an evangelizer of the Christ herself!

It would appear today in such an advertised "synod" that those attempting to reach out to those beyond the regular routes of the world are content to leave them in the error of their finite substitutes for that continuing finite thirst that goes without the special blessing that "intoxicates" and reveals a higher state of mind of the spiritual realm. So how many of the visitors to the Vatican for this synod will simply return the same as they came? The "best wine" from the average water was kept hidden and never sampled. It was even forgotten by the prelates of assumed distribution.

  8. The third and final week of the Synod begins with a splash

    a portion of the article:

    ..........
Dr. Paolo Ruffini, chief of Vatican communications, opened the presser with a notation that Cardinal Hummes, relator general of the Synod, presented to the Synod assembly the draft of the final document. Cardinal Hummes stressed to participants that the process of listening was not over. The draft of the Relatio (official document to present to the Pope) was now presented to them; however, throughout the week, there would be further discussion of content that could find its way into the final Relatio. On Friday afternoon, during the 15th general congregation of the Synod, the final draft will be read. After a day to pray and reflect, the Synod Fathers gather again on Saturday afternoon and their votes on the Relatio will be recorded.

Dr. Ruffini also said that members heard presentation in Synod hHall today by climate expert Hans Joachim Schellnhuber. In June 2015, Schellnhuber gave an address at the same location at the launch of Laudato si’, concluding with the statement, “The care for our planet therefore does not have to evolve into a tragedy of the commons. It may well turn into a story of a great transformation in which the opportunity was seized to overcome the profound inequalities.” An atheist and advocate of population control, Schellnhuber was made a ordinary member of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences in the summer of 2015 by Pope Francis. (gosh, today you get the reward even before the conversion!)

    ...........

The press was most interested in the comments of Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn, Archbishop of Vienna, Austria. On the testy topic of the ordination of viri probati (virtuous married men) as a remedy for the dearth of priests in the Pan-Amazonian region, the Cardinal described his satisfaction with the success of the permanent diaconate in his diocese. “I am in favor of this” he said. “I am here to listen” he added, in reference to the pastoral challenges in the Amazon territories where he “spent two weeks” via listening. Of the Amazon, he noted, “we mustn’t say it’s the lungs of the world, but it is important.” In contrast to earlier panelists, Schoenborn did not elaborate on viri probati terminology. Instead he was careful to use the phrase “permanent diaconate.” Later, during the question segment of the briefing Schoenborn underscored the need for indigenous vocations.

    ..........
As soon as s the panel completed their statements, journalists pressed Dr. Ruffini for the Vatican’s response to the video of the now infamous-wooden statues dunked in the Tiber. Ruffini said he had only now heard the report as he entered the Sala Stampa (Vatican Press Office). “It’s too soon to expect us to have a statement,” he said. “I can say that stealing… it’s a gesture of bravado. It’s not in the spirit of dialogue.”

Two other interesting exchanges closed out the briefing. First, an Australian inquired of Cardinal Schoenborn about the level of criticism leveled at Pope Benedict XVI and John Paul II during the Synods on the Family “Why do you think there is so much animosity toward Pope Benedict XVI?” A Reuters correspondent followed with the charge that, in fact, there was much criticism of a Pope Francis by “young people on the internet.” These “unqualified” critics “even called the pope the Anti-Pope!”

Cardinal Schonboern, in reply, observed that he had lived through many pontificates. Criticism, he noted, is not unusual. But, he assured the room, he had “never seen the slightest” criticism from Francis of his predecessors. “Every Pope has his own story… it’s very clear to me to be loyal to the pope, full stop.”

The second exchange concerned the extraction of gold in sections of the Amazon. Fr. Thomas Reese, S.J., asked the panel if the Church, in this synod, had considered renouncing gold. Would the Church, he asked, cease using golden vessels in churches and decline to marry couples with golden rings? It would send a message that the Church opposes mineral extraction which destroyed the lands of indigenous people of the Amazon. Two members of the panel mumbled a mild agreement, yes, it would send a message.

Vatican accuses conservative social media of fomenting hate after statues dumped

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - The Vatican on Tuesday accused ultra-conservative Catholic social media of fomenting hate, a day after militants stole statues they considered pagan idols from a church and dumped them in the Tiber river.

Monday’s incident came in the final week of an assembly of bishops to discuss the future of the Church in the Amazon region. The stolen statues were on display along with other Amazon artifacts at a church near the Vatican.

“In the name of tradition and doctrine, an effigy of maternity and the sacredness of life was dumped in contempt,” said Andrea Tornielli, the Vatican’s editorial director.

Tornielli said the incident was a “violent and intolerant gesture” and that the thieves had “passed from hate on social media to action”. He said it was shocking that one conservative Catholic website headlined its story on the theft “Justice is Served.”

Even before the synod started, conservative Catholic social media attacked its working document as heretical, particularly for suggesting that elderly married men could be ordained as priests to say Mass in the vast region..

They later expressed outrage at the use of an Amazonian statue of a pregnant woman at an opening ceremony.

Hardline conservative media said the statue was of a pagan goddess known as Pachamama. The Vatican said it was an indigenous traditional symbol of life.

A video of the incident was posted on the internet and given prominence on conservative Catholic media websites and Twitter. One, LifeSite News, had begun a petition to remove the statue.

LifeSite carried a statement from the thieves saying they acted because people of faith were “being attacked by members of our own Church. We do not accept this! We no longer stay silent! We start to act NOW!”

In a statement on Tuesday, REPAM, a grouping of Roman Catholic bishops and church organizations from the Amazon in Rome for the synod, called for respect of diversity in the Church.

“In recent days, we have been victims of acts of violence, reflecting religious intolerance, racism, humiliation against indigenous peoples above all,” the REPAM statement said.

REPAM said its members feared an escalation of such incidents.

The three-week synod ends on Saturday with a final declaration which the pope, who has attended most of the sessions, can use to write his own document, known as an Apostolic Exhortation.

I used to think that these Prophesies occur in a single incident. In a way they do. In a way they do more than this. The Holy Spirit operates in many different levels. So when we listen to the Word of God in Church and the Priest preaches to the Word in a Homily each priest is like a window to the Word. So if we were to hear a hundred different priests preaching to the same Scripture we might look at the Scripture through a hundred different windows. I really love this. Depths and depths and depths of the Holy Spirit.
So when we talk of the anti Christ we could speak of Nero,

    of Stalin,

    of Hitler,

    of Mao Tse tung

..and so on right up to the present day in Rome when the anti Christ again shows his face as the Man of Sin.

all these of course are mere shadows of the true anti Christ who will appear at the End of Time and who is the True Anti Christ.

But one thing we can see down the generations these Shadows of the anti Christ become ever worse and worse.
So we know that the present Shadow of anti Christ which we now see showing its face in Rome is the worst we have ever known. Because it is the very face of Judas in the Highest Levels of the Church.

Not the final anti Christ it is true but a very true foreshadowing of the same. The very worst the World has ever known.

Yes. I wish I could stay as calm.

When I went to Mass today I asked as soon as I went through the Church Doors for Our Lord in The Blessed Sacrament to give me a Great Big Hug to cheer me up. I have never asked such a Grace before.

What is going on the Church is very, very daunting and saddening. It is like Judas kissing Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. It oppresses; it saddens so much. It makes me feel like howling at the Moon.

A neighbour of mine was a priest missionary in Brazil for years. I didn't like his priestly style very much, although I could not say he was in any way unorthodox. He died a few years ago of a blood cancer about two weeks after Laudato si came out. I asked him what he thought of it before he died. He intimated it all came from Boff. I can't say he expressed approval or disapproval. May The Lord have mercy on him.

These people deny the existence of a personal devil (do they really?), but insist on a personal Earth. Boff's ravings are pure pagan pantheism, with the most extreme anti-humanism mixed in. Now, we can see why the Paul Ehrlich types are so popular currently in the Vatican. It also clearly explains Pachamama and other atrocities. These people are actual pagans. They wish to recover paganism.

I went back to bed this morning and had a dream.

I dreamt I was back in the Monastery wanting to pray. But everywhere I went there were Groups of people taking. I tried to avoid them ,wanting to be on my won for prayer. But could not do so. Then I saw that the people were giving me side long glances and thinking me strange.

So I joined a group to talk to convince them I was not unsocial. But most of the group avoided me giving me a look at though to say I was crazy.

But one woman stayed and I asked her what I had done wrong. She said,

'You have talked to no one for three days!

It is only on being awake I understand what she meant. Jesus was buried for three days before the Resurrection.

The Church is about to be buried for three Days before it also Arises from the dead.

But its going to be a very, very, long three days.
