Please pray for my friends daughter Megan, she is about 15 years old. Below are a couple updates from her facebook: From Yesterday: Megan is doing good...tests so far look like this is nasty pneumonia from the flu...oxygen is 50% now...so that's good...she needs more pressure support from the ventilator, so that's what they are working on today...they put a feeding tube in so she can be fed that way. She is medicated... but its good to see her comfortable and not fighting the tubes. Thank you for praying and for encouraging us...you are blessing our family with your love. From today: Megan has had a busy day...they changed her to the special kind of ventilator (oscillator) ...they started dialysis this afternoon... they' ve continued to give her medicine to temporarily paralyze her and they keep giving her pain medicine too...she seemed to handle all these changes well...but the doctors came in awhile ago and said they are "disappointed& quot; that they aren't seeing improvement by now. Megan is right now still needing 100% oxygen and lots of ventilator support...she needs the dialysis...the doctors are doing all that is available to treat her aggressively. ..and one doctor said bluntly that if we don't see improvement over the next 24 hours, we probably will see a decline. I appreciate his honesty...we trust in God's plan...we don't understand what that is right at this moment...but He is good...and nothing is too hard for Him. Please keep praying with us and for us. My friends daughter Mon Jan 14, 2013 8:15 pm (PST) . Update: Megan had a good day...they may try to take her off of the ventilator tomorrow...( BTW, Megan's wonderful Conover School is making tomorrow "purple day"... lots of people wearing purple for Megan)...they tried her again today off of dialysis and she did better...hopefully she can keep doing well through the night on her own...she is running a fever again today...they are watching that along with everything else...the PICU staff is taking such great care of her. Thank you for praying for her and for us...I've been feeling very low today...not physically, but spiritually. ..big reminders today that I can't do this on my own strength...I was shown the verse that says He is "the Alpha and the Omega, who is, who was and who is to come".. .so why worry about tomorrow? I know that the God of angel armies is by our side. Yeah, that's ridiculously awesome.
