I've decided I'm not going to be posting anything here for a while in regards to thread(s) involving Countdown to Kingdom and Fr. Michel R. I will continue to pray and take this to our Lord and Mother Mary as well as pray for Fr. Michel and his bishop. Also, to me, it seems like there's at least 3 new members who jumps onto this MOG forum very suddenly (same time as bishop's letter)...whereas their tones are seemingly has hints of sarcasm, jumps at/finds faults, judgements and etc. Sorry, I'm just not really feeling the positive vibes of peace nor genuine kindness from those few new members' posts lately. Sorry, MOG family and Padraig...❤ "Pray the Rosary every day... Just pray."
Ah, but where in the message did she say Russia would wage war on the free world? I recall it saying she would spread her errors, which certainly happened, to the point that the US Deep State is populated largely by Marxists, and the philosophy that people don't matter except as cogs in a wheel is the operative principle. But I suspect you're reading beyond what is actually communicated by her.
Prophecy did not end with the Fatima messages. There are many credible propchies of today that speak to the war I mentioned, such as Jennifer's messages at www.wordsfromjesus.com For those who, like me, believe God's messengers today are indeed giving us details more specific as the time draws ever more close. You may dismiss them all and that is fine, but others will lend an ear to credible messages and therein lies our difference in end times understanding.
I guess we differ on the definition of "credible." When the details don't all align perfectly with first scripture and second cathechism, I don't consider it to be from heaven. The danger is many will simply pick the version they want to believe, and pick and choose not only seers, but segments of visions, that match their version.
I agree we are not in alignment and that is fine. When details of credible prophecy, which are those that do not contradict scripture or Catholic faith teachings and they are aligned with other trustworthy messengers, I am attentive to them, as all approved prophecy was once credible and trustworthy and only became "approved" when their events foretold came to fruition. Discernment is a gift of the Holy Spirit and clearly not apparent in most laity and clergy today as it refers to prophetic discernment until the events foretold happen.
Agree with you. It’s China we have to worry more about today. They are the Red Dragon of Revelations.
I was once like you in that regard. Thing is, I deeply wanted to believe God was always announcing His major moves to seers before the fact. It felt reassuring that I would not have to rely on fuzzy language from 2,000 years ago, which no two people can agree on exactly what it means. Then, I fell into the orbit of a mystic who uses many of the same terms as other messengers, overlaps his messages with them, and I had a hard time finding anything contradictory to Church teaching. I slowly began to believe his version, when truth is, it merely overlapped with valid prophecy. The devil, as always, was in the details. Over time, that belief began to intertwine with my core faith, and warped it into a new form. That opened the door to some unwelcome spiritual influences in my life, and a bad decade followed. It took quite an effort to extricate myself, and the biggest factor was the prayers of the Auxillium Christianorum. Today, I don't think in terms of "credible" or not. I think in terms of safe, or not. I also apply a very rigid standard in evaluating anything new. If there is any hint of contradiction with scripture, or the cathechism, it must be rejected, even if everything else about it appears credible. The only safe attitude is to assume, until it is known otherwise, that a new message is false. God will overcome judicious suspicion, if it is real. I see so many here on this site that want to believe so badly, they'll accept contradictions, and justify it on the basis that it talks about things that safe revelations have also talked about, so they must just be extensions of the same message. Not so. In which direction is the message being extended? Does a majority vote count for anything, if several mystics all say the same thing? No. God doesn't put His plans to a vote. And Satan has an agenda here: To twist your faith into something unrecognizable to the true faith. As a bonus, if a prediction fails, he can then taunt your gullibility, to which he'll immediately add that you must also be gullible to believe in Jesus. I say this all from sad experience.
That's quite a stretch, when the red dragon was traditionally held to be Satan himself. I consider it dangerous to make myself pope, and decide I know what this or that revelation means, when it's by no means certain. As Sherlock Holmes said, it's a capital mistake to theorize before having the facts. Insensibly, one then twists facts to fit theories.
Catherine L and Shae, Please don't leave the forum, you can find peace on many other threads. This is a heated topic right now which is understandable but you are right that we still need to be courteous to each other. I find that I need to take breaks or even walk away from a particular debate. And there are so many good threads here to help us at the moment with prayer and reflection and simply to keep up on what is happening in the Church and in the world now. I just wanted to let you know that your input here is appreciated. And I agree, "Pray the Rosary every day... Just pray." +
Oh please....yes the Red Dragon in the book of Revelations is a metaphor for Satan. Who doesn’t know that? We also know that Satan uses his political, commercial, and religious systems, to exert pressure on true Christians to compromise their belief in Christ. So, why is it not the communism of Red China? It takes great faith to endure communism. You know if one is to understand what is written in the Scriptures, one has to live them, not just know about them or quote them. A country like China which has its tentacles all over the globe, including in our own governments, makes it really easy to suggest that they committed contamination with the Kings of the earth. I don’t see a controversy here, unless of course, one works for China.
“Happy is the one who reads aloud and those who hear the words of this prophecy and who observe the things written in it for the appointed time is near.” Rev 1:3. What a smug thing to say Tom, to insinuate that any of us, including me are pretending to be pope. Searching for the truth through apparitions like Fatima, Akita, and even Garabandal helps some of us to prepare ourselves and children for whatever is to come. My kids are in shock with this pandemic. And now are listening to me. I’ve been telling them forever life will change because of sin. Hearing a priest that tells us to prepare with the Rosary, Mass, confession, etc., is good. Fr Michel’s messages are positive when it comes to spirituality. Having his joyful spirit reassuring us that whatever happens we will be with God is very soothing. So, whether you believe him, Garabandal, etc., or not is up to you. But please treat everyone here with respect and charity. We are all in this together. Not all of us agree with timeline, dates, mark of the beast, but we all know what comes in the end. Her triumph. Peace
haha same observation. Russia is a Christian nation now and very pro-life. Atheistic China is the real threat, just look at what they are doing on their citizens. The apparition of Our Lady of Lipa last 1948 comes to mind here where Our Lady said that China plans to invade the whole world and the Catholic nation Philippines is one of its favorites. It fits perfectly in the Bible, Dragon is the symbol of China and red is its favorite color, didn't the Book of Revelation also said that the people of the Earth helped Our Lady during those time. So a lot of devout Catholics would help her
We need to be careful when reviewing and considering any particular modern apparition. We should always start with the core message and themes of each apparition. Let's take Garabandal for instance. There were only two public messages given. The first was on 10/18/61: We must make many sacrifices, perform much penance, and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently. But first, we must lead good lives. If we do not, a chastisement will befall us. The cup is already filling up, and if we do not change, a very great chastisement will come upon us. The second was on 6/18/65: As my Message of the 18th of October has not been complied with, and as it has not been made known to the world, I am telling you that this is the last one. Previously, the Cup was filling; now, it is brimming over. Many Cardinals, Bishops and priests are following the road to perdition, and with them they are taking many more souls. Ever less importance is being given to the Holy Eucharist. We should turn the wrath of God away from us by our own efforts. If you ask His forgiveness with a sincere heart. He will pardon you. I, your Mother, through the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel, wish to tell you that you should make amends. You are now being given the last warnings. I love you very much, and I do not want your condemnation. Ask Us sincerely and We shall grant your plea. You must make more sacrifices. Reflect on the Passion of Jesus. People tend to focus on the eschatological elements of apparitions and in so doing forget to ensure living the core messages. I'm not taking time here to defend Garabandal, but what I do say is that core messages are most important. Corruption in the Church is "the talk of the town" in the last eighteen years. Back in 1965, the idea that clergy were leading many souls to perdition was scandalous. Yet, it has proven itself to be true. This was always the core message from the children, but eventually curiosity about eschatological issues dominated the discussions. I still try to live by these two center pieces, though I fall short. So in any apparition, I ask myself what is the core message and if I lived out that message would Jesus call me to Himself when I die? Also, have the children who received the messages lived out the faith well. If one considers the life and example of Conchita Gonzalez who is now 70, the answer is clearly yes. In the end, eschatological elements in any apparition are ultimately secondary. What is the core? If it is worthy live it and hold lightly to the rest. Even with Fatima, if we pray the Holy Rosary daily, offer penances, visit the Blessed Sacrament, and fulfill the 5 First Saturdays we will be on the path to sanctity. The three children of Fatima did so. Let us follow their example. Live the core. Live the core. Live the core if it leads one to Heaven. But hold lightly to all else.
As I was reviewing some of the books about Garabandal, I read about this wonderful Bishop who loved the Garabandal message. (He just died in February of this year). I read somewhere that one of the Bishops that was in charge of the Garabandal apparitions, didn’t even believe in Fatima or should I say, any Marian Apparitions. From the Book THE MYSTERY OF GARABANDAL by L R Walker One individual I was able to interview about Garabandal was Bishop William McNaughton, who was one of the 2,300 bishops who participated in Vatican II, and who con-celebrated at Mari-Loli’s funeral mass. Bishop McNaughton, now retired, told me that he first learned about Garabandal in the 1970s in Korea where he worked as a Maryknoll priest. He was given a book containing the Garabandal messages. “I’ve always had a love for Our Lady of Garabandal.” Another Maryknoll priest in Korea gave McNaughton a medal that was kissed by the Virgin in Garabandal. Bishop McNaughton still prays over the sick using this Garabandal relic. “I have the sick kiss the relic and I tell them, “This is what Our Lady kissed.” When he prays with the relic, he says, “I have a feeling Mary is present in a special way.” Around 1980, he went to visit Mari-Loli. “I was profoundly impressed with the faith of Marie-Loli,” he said. “She was a daily communicant (she received communion daily).” Over time, Bishop McNaughton also met the blind Joey Longamino, who was still waiting fifty years later to receive his sight. “Joey Longamino has the deepest faith in Our Lady of Garabandal.” Bishop McNaughton went to Conchita’s home “in the 70s or 80s” to give a talk at a prayer meeting. “I said it was important to go to confession every month. Conchita corrected me and said, “It’s better to go every week!” As far as the doubts swirling around Garabandal, Bishop McNaughton said, “I think the devil was putting the doubt in the visionaries’ minds. I think the apparitions really happened. The message is so simple. I say, “Look at the message. If it’s consonant with the gospel, I believe it. I’m sure Mary is appearing in many places. After all, she’s our mother.” Regarding the lack of official approval of the Garabandal apparitions, Bishop McNaughton said, “I think Our Lady is very humble and very, very patient.” McNaughton openly admits, “I’m in a minority among bishops. Most don’t accept it.” Bishop McNaughton said he thinks “Mary and Jesus are appearing constantly. We don’t know if they’re appearing more than in the past. How can we measure that? I don’t know if it’s the End Times. I know there will be a Warning, a Miracle and a Chastisement. We don’t know how many people are paying attention to the messages of Our Lady. The more that do, it can push off or at least mitigate the Chastisement. I’m sure there’s more than we think who are following the messages and offering up suffering.” View attachment 12634 Bishop McNaughton with a medal from Garabandal
Thank you Mario, from the bottom of my heart! This is the most important post on this thread. Intuitively, I know that the message is important, and it is made in a simple manner. All the eschatological arguments (soothsaying) do is confuse the "little children," like me. Blessings
Valeria Copponi – Your Preoccupations Aren’t from God Our Lady to Valeria Copponi , April 29, 2020: My dear children, your preoccupation does not come from God. Do you still consider him your Father? Then you have nothing to fear. Who can help you more than He can? My children, praise him and pray to him more often: then you will see wonders. I am close to you and I urge you to decide about your lives. Do not waste any more time with negative news that ends up poisoning your life. God is the one who decides about your life: in obedience to Him you are safe; only those who do not have faith can doubt His love. It is true that you are in a time of trial but this does not mean that you cannot emerge from it victorious. Believe, pray to your God and leave preoccupations and fears to the spiritually poor. Live and believe that the Creator alone can do everything. Feel protected; pray more, including for your non-believing brothers and sisters. Pray for the church that is crumbling.* Be closer, with prayer, to all those who, although suffering, are not drawing near to their Creator. I have been speaking and advising many of you for such a long time, showing you all my love for you, but also my terrible sufferings because of my distant and disobedient children. I ask you again, tiny remnant, help me! Never as in these times have I had to suffer and weep at your behavior, which is not ordered to the commandments of God. Help these children of mine to recover their senses and above all to believe in hell, true eternal torture for souls. I love you so much; be awake, do not be found unprepared. May God the Father bless you.
