There is a beautiful movie of St Charbel on utube with english subtitles. Very beautiful. I have read that he used to float during the consecration. Since watching that movie i pray to him daily!! Beautiful Saint!
I have many favorite Saints who i feel i have grown up with but i just wanted to mention Father Peyton, the rosary priest. I started praying while driving and I love Father's rosary on utube. When i went for adoration last week i picked up a pair of rosaries that they set out for people and on the little bag they came in was Father Peyton's name. I was thankful that i felt it was a little sign that he is watching over me.
Yes Fr Charbel is a mystery. I watched the film several times and read a lot about him; but still he is a mystery. His life was so hidden in God. But I suppose being a hermit most of his life we must expect this. This supposed to be his voice talking... ..and here is what he said.. "Glory to God always to God,Glory to God always to God … May god bless you, may he sanctify you with His grace. God’s grace is joy to you, God’s grace is life to you and God’s grace is hope for your hearts. Only the Eucharist can sanctify you, only the Eucharist can raise you, only the Holy Sacrament can protect you. Hold a prayer vigil, pray all night. God’s grace is escorting each one of you. My children, hold a prayer vigil with Mary; the mother of church. She is your mother, God chose her to be a mother in Heaven and on earth. She is the mother of the redeemer who with his flesh and blood redeemed the entire world. In holding a prayer vigil with Mary there is no loss but only gain. Where is this world heading? We are with you, Jesus is in you. Pray my dear children, pray. The rosary shall sanctify you, the rosary shall lead you. The rosary is for you; for your salvation. Pray the rosary, Mary does not lead anyone but to her son Jesus. Never has she been on earth and defiled herself. She comes to testify in front of the entire world. She comes holding with her a message of love and peace and he who wants peace should follow Mary. Remember God chose Mary. Since God has chosen her, what are you still waiting for? Be in her heart, love her as much as she loves her son Jesus. Jesus secured you to her; Jesus secured us to her. Together you and Mary are ready to change the world. Keep your trust in her because she trusts her children. We are with you, we are with you- do not wonder my children do not wonder- Heaven knows not sleep; Heaven knows prayers all night and wants the world to share it. You come visit us in our holy places, I don’t offer but Jesus for you because he is your nourishment; he is your bread and wine that descended from Heaven to free your spirits. You touched him; his joy lives in your hearts. Live the holy joy and do not let the world take it away from you. Dear children of Mary, Mary is with you. Her presence is permanent not from today but from a long time ago. Mary’s role on earth is a call for peace a call for unity;it is a call for the holy repentance. May God be with you! I love you too. Don’t be afraid, Charbel is with you. Wherever my mother is I am and I want you to be with us and live with us. Our hearts are full of God’s grace and we want those graces to flow upon you. Glory to God always to God, Glory to God always to God…"
