I donated $100 from the forum kitty and told him others had donated. I also invited him to post on the forum and promised our prayers. Poor, poor man. So brave! Very touching I donated through his website> https://donorbox.org/timothy-gordon
It's especially sad that it is Catholics are doing this terrible thing on fellow Catholics. I know that on the forum we're all fellow Catholics and even so sometimes we don't all get along, but I don;t think any of us would wish any active harm on any of our sisters and brothers. Whereas in this case, terrible, terrible harm has in fact being done. On the other hand the exact same thing happened to all God's saints, look at Padre Pio for instance; so it is a par for the course. It is actually a big, big compliment to them all that this has occurred. Wonderful people. My heart goes out to them. So very, very sad.
The Gospel today is spot on for those who are persecuted for the sake of Jesus. It was the Gospel of the Beatitudes. We are in a spiritual war. And I wonder if people realise that they can be really physically hurt in spiritual battles. Losing your livelyhood on account of defending the Truth is surely suffering for the Heavenly Kingdom. And in war it is said the first casualty is always the truth. Timothy Gordon is a true soldier of Christ, wounded on the front line, deep in the trenches fighting for the glory of our God. He is a martyr, and God will reward him for his courage, and fidelity. A hundred times a full measure pressed down and topped up to overflowing. Praised be Jesus and Mary.
