This priest certainly minimizes the importance of the pope. Is that not also a sin? Sounds almost Protestant to me. Also, his is a matter of THE POPE endorsing sodomy, the subversion of marriage and the perversion of children,NOT what the pope had for breakfast.
Endorsing homosexual civil unions is the same as endorsing homosexual acts (an intrinsic evil), because that is what takes place in homosexual civil unions. And this is most certainly a Matter of Faith and Morals, not mere politics.
Idolatory leads to sexual immorality, perversion and homosexuality. Romans 1 23 And (they) changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
I'm still somewhat new to Catholicism. Is there any way possible the laity could vote Francis out (or ex-communicated)? Could the average Catholic sign a petition demanding his ouster that would have to be taken seriously? Or is that solely for the Cardinals to decide?
Mmm This tweet is on the Poster of the new documentary Clearly released in time for the USA elections -- anti-Trump tweet. Clearly the most political of Popes.
The Pandemic broke out days after the worship of the Pagan Pachamama Idol in the Vatican: "Three cardinals and three bishops have separately voiced opposition to paganism in Church ceremonies in the Vatican surrounding the Amazon Synod, including the Oct. 4 pagan ceremony in the Vatican Gardens where people bowed down and worshiped the Pachamama idol as Pope Francis and other top-ranking prelates looked on. Catholics around the world were indignant to not only see the pagan statues present in various ceremonies, but to see Pope Francis actually bless one of them during the Vatican Gardens ceremony. He was also present when the Pachamama statue was carried into the synod hall, at the beginning of the Amazon Synod, accompanied again with pagan rituals. Paulo Suess, one of the key authors of the Amazon Synod’s working document, commented on this ceremony, saying 'so what. Even if it would have been a pagan rite, then it is nevertheless a pagan worship of God.' Some Catholics decided to take action against the public display of pagan idols in the Catholic Church..." https://panamazonsynodwatch.info/fe...condemned-pagan-pachamama-rituals-at-vatican/ Keep that date of October 4, 2019 in mind as you ponder the following facts: "A May 5th, 2020 article by Van Dorp et al in the journal Infection, Genetics, and Evolution suggests that COVID-19 made the jump from animals to humans sometime between October 6 and December 11, 2019. The authors arrived at this timeline by analyzing the genetic sequences of many diverse strains of the virus to determine the 'Time of the Most Recent Common Ancestor' (tMRCA) of 7666 different strains of the virus.... ...Wikipedia, which does reveal the raw numbers of searches for particular terms, showed a jump in baseline search interest in 'Coronavirus' from under 100 per day to 1124 searches on October 12, 2019. On the same day, Wikipedia searches for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-novel coronavirus is now also called SARS-CoV2) jumped from a baseline of 200-300 searches per day to 1334 per day. Wikipedia does not publish the geographic origin of searches on their sites, only they know where the queries originated." https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/...blips-raise-questions-about-covid-19-timeline
I believe in forgiveness and to live in peace with others. But THIS is a call for The West to roll over and play dead to others, imo. To accept conquest.
Dark times, an opportunity for us all to become bright lights. So thankful for our shepherds who are willing to put their neck on the line to help their sheep. May he be one of the first of many.
There is nothing as laity we can do to reverse what has been said, but we are called to love the Pope by means of prayer and fasting. Lord Jesus, King of History and the Universe, purify each of our hearts. Help all sons and daughters of your Church to profess the Truth unabashedly.
I’ve seen in depth essays and discussions of this subject. I’ll see what I can did up. I can say honestly and with confidence that until the Church speaks, we mere lay people cannot pronounce the current pope as invalidly elected or having lost his papacy as a result of manifest heresy. Only the “official” Church can make that proclamation. Since what is happening now has NEVER happened before in Church history, do not expect any cut and dry answer. Even good holy orthodox “experts,” both historically and at present, have disagreed on how a pope in manifest heresy is dealt with. If they couldn’t provide a cut and dry answer, it’s not likely that us laymen and laywomen in 2020 will be able to provide satisfactory answers. And that’s part and parcel of this current chastisement.
If there were any doubt that we are in a current chastisement, this is it. Thank you Brian, for your commentary.
https://onepeterfive.com/archbishop-vigano-on-popes-support-of-homosexual-unions-francis-is-trying-to-provoke-a-schism Archbishop Viganò on Pope’s Support of Homosexual Unions: Francis is Trying to Provoke a Schism Archbishop Carlo Maria ViganòOctober 21, 2020 0 Comments DECLARATION of His Excellency Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò about the documentary film Francesco Rome, October 21st, 2020 – The Vatican News website[1] has reported the news that today at the Rome Film Festival a documentary film will be screened called Francesco made by director Evgeny Afineevsky. This documentary – according to what has been reported by Catholic News Agency[2] and America Magazine[3] – makes public several pronouncements of Jorge Mario Bergoglio on the topic of homosexuality. Among the various statements, these two are particularly disconcerting: “Homosexuals have a right to be a part of the family. They’re children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out, or be made miserable because of it.” “What we have to create is a civil union law. That way they are legally covered. I stood up for that.” One does not have to be a theologian or a moral expert to know that such statements are totally heterodox and constitute a very serious cause of scandal for the faithful. But pay careful attention: these words simply constitute the umpteenth provocation by which the “ultra-progressive” part of the Hierarchy wants to artfully provoke a schism, as it has already tried to do with the Post-Synodal Exhortation Amoris Laetitia, the modification of doctrine on the death penalty, the Pan-Amazon Synod and the filthy Pachamama, and the Abu Dhabi Declaration which has now been reaffirmed and aggravated by the Encyclical Fratelli Tutti. It appears that Bergoglio is impudently trying to “raise the stakes” in a crescendo of heretical affirmations, in such a way that it will force the healthy part of the Church – which includes bishops, clergy, and faithful – to accuse him of heresy, in order to declare that healthy part of the Church schismatic and “the enemy of the Pope.” Jorge Mario Bergoglio is trying to force some Cardinals and Bishops to separate themselves from communion with him, obtaining as a result not his own deposition for heresy but rather the expulsion of Catholics who want to remain faithful to the perennial Magisterium of the Church. This trap would have the purpose – in the presumed intentions of Bergoglio and his “magic circle” – of consolidating his own power within a church that would only nominally be “Catholic” but in reality would be heretical and schismatic. This deception draws on the support of the globalist élite, the mainstream media and the LGBT lobby, to which many clergy, bishops, and cardinals are no strangers. Furthermore, let us not forget that in many nations there are laws in force which criminally punish anyone who considers sodomy reprehensible and sinful or who does not approve of the legitimization of homosexual “matrimony” – even if they do so on the basis of their Creed. A pronouncement by the bishops against Bergoglio on a question like homosexuality could potentially lead civil authority to prosecute them criminally, with the approval of the Vatican. Bergoglio would thus have on his side not only the “deep church” represented by rebels like Father James Martin, S.J., and those who promote the German “Synodal Path,” but also the “deep state.” It is not surprising that in the documentary there is also an endorsement of the Democratic candidate in the upcoming American presidential election, along with a disconcerting condemnation of the policy of the Trump Administration, which is accused of separating families that want to enter the United States illegally, while the reality is that the President is confronting human trafficking and the trafficking of minors. Thus, while conservative American bishops are forbidden from intervening in the political debate in support of President Trump, the Vatican allows itself to casually interfere in the elections in favor of his Democratic adversary, in union with the censorship by social and news media of the very serious accusations against the Biden family. As Catholics, we are called to side with those who defend life, the natural family, and national sovereignty. We thought that we had the Vicar of Christ at our side. We painfully acknowledge that, in this epochal clash, he who ought to be guiding the Barque of Peter has chosen to side with the Enemy, in order to sink it. Recalling the courage of the Holy Pontiffs in defending the integrity of the Faith and promoting the salvation of souls, one can only observe: Quantum mutatus ab illis![4] + Carlo Maria Viganò, Archbishop [1]https://www.vaticannews.va/it/papa/...o-film-documentario-festival-cinema-roma.html [2]https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/...ex-couples-in-shift-from-vatican-stance-12462 [3]https://www.americamagazine.org/faith/2020/10/21/pope-francis-gay-civil-union-documentary [4] “How changed from what they once were!” – cf. Even a good holy priest like Fr. Z has expressed real misgivings about our current situation. If someone like him has questions I think it’s beyond our duty to try to prevent further discussion of this very issue too: https://wdtprs.com/2020/06/the-mazza-hypothesis-benedict-resigned-as-bishop-of-rome-but-not-vicar-of-christ-wherein-fr-z-ponders-with-a-heavy-heart The Mazza Hypothesis: Benedict resigned as Bishop of Rome but not Vicar of Christ. Wherein Fr. Z ponders with a heavy heart. I’ve been pondering lately. One needs to do this out of love. Ponder, comes from Latin pondus, “weight”. Hence, I am weighing things. Augustine famously wrote, amor meus pondus meum… my love is my weight. In Augustine’s time, gravity was thought to be an interior force that compelled things to go to where they belonged. Thus, the heart is always restless until it rests in God. Amor meus, pondus meum. However, in the words of the modern poet’s song, John Mayer, “Gravity is working against me And gravity wants to bring me down” Is it okay to say that I am still feeling the gravity of the abdication of Benedict XVI and its aftermath? I don’t think I am alone. Something truly ponderous must have driven Benedict – whom I knew a little, personally, before his election – to have left the Apostolic Apartments for the tiny house in the back of the Vatican gardens. “Oh, I’ll never known what makes this man With all the love that his heart can stand Dream of ways to throw it all away” I have long thought that, because he had had a stroke in 1991, he was afraid that he might have another and wind up being the captive of buffoons (he appointed) like Card. Bertone. Ratzinger had watched the last days of John Paul II and the machinations of Card. Sodano and others. With modern medicine people can keep a man alive for a long time and do things in his name while he is trapped in his body, unable to fight. John Paul was badly reduced at the end, couldn’t really even talk. His witness was amazing, but the governance of the Church suffered. The Church is resilient. But now we have a witness of reduced Benedict and a still fairly ambulatory Francis, two bishops in white, whereas John Paul II, badly reduced was still gigantic. “Oh twice as much ain’t twice as good And can’t sustain like one half could It’s wanting more that’s gonna send me to my knees” I have a sense that more people than ever are asking questions, pondering, what the hell is going on these days. Perhaps we are in the lead up to the tribulations described in Scripture. Growing larger and larger on the horizon of my mind is the Pauline allusion to the “Restrainer” in 2 Thessalonians 2:6. We don’t know for sure to whom Paul referred, but clearly this figure is the one who hinders the Antichrist. One day, the Restrainer will stop restraining. Already, looking around the globe and seeing pandemic, China, and domestic lawlessness, I ponder: “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of his mouth and destroy him by his appearing and his coming. The coming of the lawless one by the activity of Satan will be with all power and with pretended signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false, so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” Heavy, no? Seems to be a description of our time, or at least the lead up to worse manifestation of the same. Paul wrote, “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own likings, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander into myths. (2 Tim 4:3-4)”. And the Lord Himself said, “They will put you out of the synagogues; indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. (John 16:2)” It weighs on the heart. In these last months I have taken serious note of how the Lord’s ejection of demons and his physical healings went hand in hand, overlapping. I think that what we are seeing, world wide, is a massive demonic movement in the ongoing war within this vale of tears. We are always at war with the world, the flesh and the Devil. But sometimes in this dreadful trench war, offensives are launched. China. Domestic terror and lawlessness. Viral pandemic. Relentless stupid in every possible direction. Our own pastors shutting down the sacramental life of the Church. Two men in white. I am mindful of Anne Catherine Emmerich’s vision of a two “popes” as if viewed in a mirror: one is the real deal and the other is an image. I am mindful of the really hard to swallow explanation of the Third Secret, especially in that with the other visions there were explanations by the Blessed Virgin, missing in this case. I am mindful of the messages of Akita and of Garanbandal. Recently I was prompted by a friend to listen to a podcast by Taylor Marshall. Over a couple of days I got through it. They are … long. It was an interview with Edmund Mazza, and it was about the conundrum of whether or not Benedict XVI really abdicated the See of Peter, the papacy, or not. Maybe he did and maybe he didn’t. Mazza has come up with a very interesting theory. That’s what I will focus on now... Read the rest at the link
