I usually don't bring prayer requests that fall under the umbrella of my parish's prayer chain, but here is one that really tugs at my heart: I am asking for the Warriors to storm heaven with prayers for a friend of mine and her family in Michigan. The middle of February Heather and Matt and their two children went out for to dinner to celebrate Valentine's day. After leaving the restaurant about 730 pm they were hit head on by a drunk driver. Matt was killed instantly and Heather was in critical condition while the two children suffered broken limbs and other injuries. Heather has been in the hospital for about 7 weeks. The doctors did not hold out any hope of her surviving. Heather is a stay at home Mom who home schools her children. The drunk driver had no insurance. I have heard from Heather and she is doing well but will have a long haul ahead of her. Due to Covid of course, she has not been able to see her family, only thru the window. I am asking for you to pray for this beautiful family that the Lord will bless them with love and healing and keep them safe.
Unimaginable. When it comes to drunk drivers ... no, I won't go there. Except to say too often they walk away with little more than scratches. Will pray.
What a heavy cross my wife has added the familys intention to her Facebook prayer group.. Little Therese shower forth thy roses
Absolutely Terry. I will have a Mass said for her at the Monastery. This breaks my heart. Is there a Go Fund Me page?
Wow such a huge tragedy. I can't imagine what great faith it would take to forgive a stranger who's actions took away my husband and caused my family so much everlasting pain! Prayers for their complete healing, and that God becomes their Husband, Father, Protector, and Provider from this day forward.
