God bless you Mario, and your ministry. I have nothing more to add to everyone's thoughtful words except my prayers. +++
The above words are exactly what I was about to post, and then read this one before posting. Mario, you are planting seeds. Let Our Lord water them. I will be praying for you and the mission you have been given. God bless you. Lynne
All of the above .you will touch hearts in some way prayers tomorrow. It’s late now and can’t concentrate.lol
Adding my prayers for you too Terry! My favourite place to be when I'm feeling discouraged is sitting before the Blessed Sacrament. Ahh, the peace
I love your posts and stories about the people that you help Mario. I wish that I could be more like you, out there ministering to those in need. I agree with everyone else. Just by meeting these people, you are interceding for them, entrusting them to God. How lucky they are to have you - they don't know it yet but will thank you in the other life. May the Holy Spirit blow a fresh Breath of Courage and Strength upon you.
Mario, I often find that the Holy Spirit guides us to people who need "seeds of God" placed within them. We are the planters who give a little water and fertilizer and move on to give others the seed of God's grace and love. By the end of the work day you have a garden and yes some of them don't always root, but many do. We don't get to see our results till the harvest. Prayers for perseverance in continuing God's grace and love.
Wonderful analogy, MC, since I'll be working in the garden today! Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!
Remembered you Mario at our little statues behind our church of Our Lady of Fatima and the children .
Ps 63 O God, thou art my God, I seek thee, my soul thirsts for thee; my flesh faints for thee, as in a dry and weary land where no water is. 2 So I have looked upon thee in the sanctuary, beholding thy power and glory. 3 Because thy steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise thee. 4 So I will bless thee as long as I live; I will lift up my hands and call on thy name. 5 My soul is feasted as with marrow and fat, and my mouth praises thee with joyful lips, 6 when I think of thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the watches of the night; 7 for thou hast been my help, and in the shadow of thy wings I sing for joy. 8 My soul clings to thee; thy right hand upholds me.
I don’t want to take away from prayer for Mario but I don’t know where to put this . Lisa is dieing-too weak now for a feeding tube. Please pray for her and for my Sister in law looking after her faithfully with very little sleep. She was told the end is near. We will see her in a day or so. Just finished the Chaplet of Devine Mercy.
Praying... You have a very challenging ministry Terry, and like police, EMT's or firefighters, deal with people in awful situations every day. That in and of itself must be really draining. Add in the absence of God in their lives and it can be demoralizing. Take heart our Lord is with them and in His time will produce fruit of the seeds you plant through your ministry. I do pray every morning for endurance and perserverance in prayer for my family because I see no fruits from my labor and will add you to this simple morning intention.
Praying for Lisa, Rory but more especially for your sister in law and all the family. A great suffering, God is very close to the suffering child, these children are doing a mighty work for God. He has put the proud down from their seat and has exalted the Humble! Behold He makes all things new!
