Good grief! Did some penance this morning. Went out to do weeding, went down by the road to cut tall weeds and didn't realize I was standing in a hill of fire ants . . .I won't tell you the rest of the story! Soothing all the bites with chaga cream.
Dr. Demello does recommend ivermectin as a prophylaxis. It appears to be favoured by a lot of doctors who actually treat covid patients and aren't in the vaccine or nothing camp. His telemed service has included patients from the US and UK. No EU patients due to the drugs being unavailable. The stay home, take paracetamol and call an ambulance if you can't breathe approach doesn't fill me with hope.
I did read briefly yesterday that quercetin is not good for people who have hypothyroidism. I’m not posting links because I’m getting a new computer Thursday and I’m looking forward to heaving the old one into the dark recesses of the dump But I have been hypothyroid since in my 20’s. So no quercetin for me.
ha, ! read that it is good for hypo thyroid. I have that, have been on quercetin, no issues. I see my endo doc on Wed and will run it by her.
Bump. I reached out to Jack last Tuesday and he replied saying he was'nt great and his daughter and wife were also feeling rough, Ive contacted him twice since and have had no reply (last contact was Wednesday) so I am quite worried for them. could I ask sincere prayer for them . thanks John
With regards to zinc, initially I had to abandon it because that higher dose upset my stomach. I finally found a brand with a lower dose called Vitafusion power zinc. They are fruit flavored gummies that contain 15 mg zinc, and 270 mg vitamin C. I get them at Target and take them along with my higher dose vitamin C, D3 and calcium. I have also been drinking tonic water. Yes it certainly is the wild west out there. I pretty much run whenever I hear someone hacking or sneezing. We are surrounded by tourists from all all over the USA so Labor Day can't come soon enough.
I will pray for Jack and his family now. Have you heard how is Malachi's father? He was extremely ill.
We are too Jo. We were at Bar Harbor last week. Yikes! I actually masked and carried sanitizer and dodged people left and right. It wasn't my idea to go and I won't do it again! I got those same "gummies" --much gentler way to get zinc. .
Praying for Jack (his family), Malachi father in law, I think Garabandal son too (maybe recovered?). And all in forum that have been infected recently or in past. Hearing more and more about so called “long COVID “ issues. And last but not least- prayers for all suffering the mental and emotional stresses this causing.
Apologies in advance…. As I believe this question has been asked multiple times… but why can’t one get a Ivermectin pill/capsule like any other med? I’d rather have that on hand as a just in case? And while on this topic…is hydroxychloroquine still being used… I thought this was a therapy?
It’s very hard (impossible in many places) to get an MD to prescribe the ivermectin for an active case, let alone for pills “just in case.” The injectable version of vet grade ivermectin is more than pure enough for human use and can be taken with other liquid by mouth. And compared to the cost of human ivermectin pills here in the USA, it’s dirt cheap. Just pick up some vet syringes and 18 gauge needles to draw it up out of the bottle, which are available over the counter at Tractor Supply right next to the locked display of the injectable ivermectin. The rubber seal stays intact and the liquid ivermectin won’t “go bad” simply from drawing up doses.
