These are the kind of people that Pope Francis and the Vatican are exhausting themselves in trying to wipe out at the moment. The logic of this totally escapes me. With all the very bad things going on in the World and the Church at moment why would you see these good , indeed exemplary, Catholic people as Public Enemy No 1? Baffling.
As compared to these people with whom, apparently, we must walk the path of , 'Accompaniment' and Mercy with: Our Lady explained to St. Bridget of Sweden, that a pope that would allow priests to marry, would go to hell. Mary to the visionary: “But now I shall tell you God’s Will in this matter ... Know this too: that if some Pope concedes to priests a license to contract carnal marriage, God will condemn him to a sentence as great, in a spiritual way, as that which the law justly inflicts in a corporeal way on a man who has transgressed so gravely that he must have his eyes gouged out, his tongue and lips, nose and ears cut off, his hands and feet amputated, all his body’s blood spilled out to grow completely cold, and finally, his whole bloodless corpse cast out to be devoured by dogs and other wild beasts. Similar things would truly happen in a spiritual way to that Pope who were to go against the aforementioned pre-ordinance and Will of God and concede to priests such a license to contract marriage. Why indeed? Totally counterintuitive. This has been done to more than a few traditional orders. Who gains from this? Who gained from suppression of the St michael prayer after Mass after VII?
I love the part at the start of the Mass when we call on the Holy Spirit to, 'Quicken' us. An old fashioned word meaning to breath life into. How wonderful to see this process of renewal happening in others. How very,very sad to see the Holy Spirit opposed , most especially by those in authority who should know better. Imagine being found guilty of opposing God by hindering the Holy Spirit. How terrible! But who of those who strive against God can ever emerge victorious? They will always be the loser. Let this be our consolation.
I am now to old with health issues but when I see these kinds of things, I wish I would have been more faithful and more courageous when I was younger. I wish I had made the decision to live a secluded life with God.
