Dear friends here at MOG who offered prayers for my biopsy! I had a cancer biopsy yesterday morning. The doctor told me that it would be at least five days until I would have results. The team that I had yesterday morning were so sensitive and wonderful that I thanked God on my way home for how they treated me…they were so awesome and eased my anxiety.
I believe this was due to prayers, so I was so grateful! I know God heard your prayers.

This afternoon I was doing some tax prep work and had a call. It was the doctor who did my biopsy. She asked if I was Beth and I said yes…while holding my breath. She said, “ I have some good news for you. Your test results came back negative for cancer! “ oh my…I was floored. I was testing for over a year and now I have such relief…! I asked how they were able to get my results so fast?…. They were not to be available for at least five days? She chuckled and said, I don’t know how this happened, but your cancer free and I wanted to give you some peace today. I thanked her and her staff…they were wonderful….but, I know who gets the credit…my dear prayer warriors here at MOG. I want to thank all of you so very much. You are all so dear! Thank you Jesus for hearing and answering prayers. God bless you all!

  13. Catholic believers say that tears fall from the eyes of the Virgin Mary of Los Dolores in the church of San Emydius in the city of Lynwood in California. The parish and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles are monitoring the event to verify the tears on the face of the Virgin. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles began a Jubilee year on Sept. 11th, 2021 to run through Sept. 10, 2022. The “Forward in Mission” Jubilee can be a moment of missionary renewal for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The 40 hours of Eucharistic Adoration at Jubilee pilgrimage sites is a time to pray for revival in the life of faith in the Church in Los Angeles and for a receptivity to the transformative work of the Holy Spirit in the Jubilee Year.

The Pope compares the EU to a 'Nazi dictatorship' for its attempts to impose woke language rules and ban Christmas
    • The EU suggested staff say 'holiday period' instead of Christmas in leaked memo
    • Diplomats were forced to withdraw the document after a huge backlash
    • The pope, 84, accused them of 'ideological colonisation' on return from Greece

Pope Francis has compared the EU to a 'Nazi dictatorship' for trying to impose woke rules on language and ban using the word Christmas.

The pope, 84, warned the bloc not to 'take the path of ideological colonisation' as he returned from Greece after a four-day trip.

Last week, the EU was accused of trying to 'cancel Christmas' after telling staff to avoid the word in favour of 'holiday period' because it could be offensive to non-Christians.

Eurocrats published the rule months ago as part of a guide on 'inclusive communication', details of which leaked leading to a furious backlash.

Other suggestions in the book included replacing Christian names such as Mary and John with 'international' names such as Malika and Julio when using them in generic examples, and swapping the word 'man-made' for 'human-induced'.

The pontiff said the language diktats, which the European Commissioner for Equality admitted 'clearly needed more work', 'a fad, watered-down secularism'.

Lots of stats here but I guess more or less confirms the reality I see - fewer people identify as even belonging to a religious faith. It’s mind boggling to see 30% in US are atheists or agnostic. Now, I’m not at all trying to say I’m “better” because I believe. I’m just thinking how does one cope in this life without believing, relying, and going to God? God does not need us- we need Him.

And again less in category of I’m above anyone, but more perplexing in reading. The lack of daily prayer even within believers is just insane to me. I know I would not survive (spiritual for sure and likely physically) without talking to God everyday. I mean, we talk to our friends , spouses, co-workers, kids everyday…. How can we not talk to the most important person in our lives?

The sad takeaway Is as society walks away from God, He will let us go. No wonder the world is a mess. It’s like a world wide prodigal son- we are collectively in the sh** sty with the pugs. But I also know, He still loves us and like the father in the Prodigal son , is always waiting and will rejoice upon one lost sheep returning. Got to keep believing , hoping and praying.
