My brain is not able to switch off to sleep live in australia queensland mackay and my body twitchs and spasms and not able to sleep nne help this is killing me does anyone have the same problem or know where i can get help like eeg as my doctor is useless
How horrible, angelo! I'll pray a Chaplet of Divine Mercy for you! Pray that your guardian angel comes to your defense. I also get the sense that you should pray the Jesus prayer on your Rosary beads: Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner!
I work the Night Shifts. I try to sleep for short periods to keep me through. All soldiers learn this habit. Try the American Naval Training (SEALS) for this. It works in over 90% of cases. Anyway it works for me.
I also use the Sleep Reorder Ap on my smart phone and play nature music from it like Rain and streams flowing. Also I use Melatonin form time to time, but be careful with it. Don't over rely on this.
My husband and I were talking melatonin as part of the covid cure but quit taking it because we couldn't wake up!
Dear Angelo, I will pray for you. Here is some info. that may or may not be helpful. I truly hope you feel better and can get some quality sleep. When I start reading the book of Psalms, I can barely get to Psalm 4 or 5 before I drift off to sleep. "Sleep tremors, or hypnic jerks -- often called sleep starts -- which everybody has, are basically the startled, jerky movements we have when we are going to bed," Dr. Jain explains. "Especially in children, you will see that they jerk or have a startled response. It can be more than just a single jerk, and that is when it becomes an issue that may need to be addressed." Get A Professional Assessment "Sleep starts or sleep tremors are very common," says Dr. Jain, "but if they are more than small starts and are problematic, they could have an underlying cause." Dr. Jain advises patients to seek a professional assessment "to ensure the source is benign." Use A Doctor-Prescribed Medication "We typically treat this with something." Dr. Jain adds. "Of course, that would have to be determined by your physician." Restrict Caffeine Intake "Caffeine has been associated with an increase in sleep tremors or sleep starts," says Dr. Jain, "so limiting your intake of caffeine can be beneficial. This is especially true later in the day." Avoid Excessive, Intensive Physical Activity According to Dr. Jain, "Excessive, intensive physical activity has also been associated with sleep tremors or sleep starts, so reducing the intensity of your physical activity or making sure you exercise earlier in the day may help reduce the intensity of the tremors or starts." Attempt To Reduce Stress "Stress can also play a role in making you have more sleep tremors or sleep starts," says Dr. Jain. He advises patients to take steps to reduce the amount of stress in their lives. If none of this works for you, however, Dr. Jain says that appropriate treatment would be "a low-dose benzodiazepine for a period of time." Subin Jain, M.D. is a specialist in pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, internal medicine, and critical care medicine and a physician at the Sleep Disorders Center at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky, as well as with Louisville Pulmonary Care.
I started to take Liposomal GABA 1000 mg. and a magnesium tablet an hour before bedtime. It has really helped. I tried melatonin but it gave me bad dreams.
Magnesium may help with spasms! It relaxes your muscles. Helps you sleep better too…because you’re relaxed.
