Interesting...where’s the Holy Water?

My Parish hasn’t allowed Holy Water for fear of cross contamination. I understand their stance.

    But...

on the spiritual end...what graces are millions loosing from 2 years of no Holy Water.

interesting note, if we are in final days, the demons are in full force trying to get souls to leave God.

wouldn’t our first layer of armor be Holy Water.

    Two years and still going.

    sad sad sad

    :(

I have thought of carrying my own little bottle of holy water with me. Fortunately the fonts are full again at the two places I attend Mass. During the bad days of covid I found it extremely ironic that everyone got a squirt of sanitizer coming in but no holy water. What a sign of the apostasy.

yesterday i was stunned! Next to empty Holy Water bowl was a stand up sanitizer. In my eyes it was a insult to God.

I totally agree. A not so subtle insult.

Funny this should come up - I have just penned a letter to my Bishop asking him why the sacramental holy water is not available in our churches --

At least people should be given a choice to use it should they wish.

I must print it off and get it away this week.

  7. You may want to ask your priest if the Holy Water is coming back. I asked our pastor and about a month later, there were holy water dispensers up in the church. I know that it isn't the same as Holy water in a basin, but at least it's something. I don't credit my asking for them appearing, but just one person asking may make a difference.

My parish still has an automatic Holy Water dispenser. Not my preference but it works.:ROFLMAO:

I feel very blessed, and in a way shielded, from this covid mess. Our parish has one large bowl of holy water that everyone uses on the way in and out of Mass. In fact, our priest has never even stopped saying Mass or distributing Communion on the tongue. We have had no mask mandates at Mass. My family stopped wearing a mask at church in the summer of 2020, but many parishioners chose to wear one for much longer. We have a good sized, growing parish. I give all the credit to our faith-filled and fearless priest from Vietnam. He fled a Communist regime 20+ years ago and I don’t think he likes the idea of being controlled again. :D

My heart aches for the rest of the world. I am floored when I hear of vax mandates at Mass and by the places that still have churches closed to the public. Fear is one of the devil’s most powerful weapons. It’s no wonder that the Bible tells us fear not and/or be not afraid over 100 times.

I pray that the world will come to it’s senses and somehow move past all of this hysteria, and then I look at Canada and my hopes are dashed. I know that God prevails in the end, it’s just difficult to watch so much senseless oppression and suffering. It just makes no sense. The governments of the world are out of control, yet parishes are afraid of putting out holy water. It’s such an important sacramental; making it available should be a no brainer at this point.

Our church and others nearby have motion sensor holy water dispensers. Just put your hand under the sensor and it squirted out the water. No ones hands need to touch the dispenser or contaminate the water. A good catholic layperson found them online and area parishes started to use them. I’m betting they may just keep them. It was a good idea.
Water less likely to evaporate and might be good for at home use. The small ones for home use constantly need refilled.

Its a powerful spiritual weapon so no wonder it is being restricted. I always ask myself who stood to gain from this lockdown of the Mass and the sacraments. Three guesses and the first two don't count as we used to say when we were kids.
You are blessed to have this priest. I find our African and Indian priests have fearless faith as well.

I seriously doubt that water can transmit COVID.

And especially if it's Holy Water!

There's always a bit of Holy Water in my parish, and this is a VERY dry clime.

My parish at the beginning had no Holy water available. But I had my stash at home and put some in a bottle for when I went to church. For awhile I began the douser for those who sat around me:) My priest then installed the automatic hands free dispensers that I eventually switched to. But I’ve always carried a small bottle of Holy water in my car. You never know!
