Hmm that's strange... I read in a book that Mary didn't originally plan on coming as long as 40 years, that's true...but what I read said that she decided to come longer because the people of Medjugorje responded so well and were faithful to the prayer she asked of them. So her staying longer is a positive thing, a reward of longer help for the world earned for us by the prayers and living of the message of those in Medjugorje. So I wonder which one is true?
I don't know! It's sister Emmanuelle speaking and she doesn't say nonsense about Medjugorje as a rule, so perhaps both statements are somehow true? Our Lady's continued presence is a blessing but could be that the reasons for this are a mixture - a blessing for the faithful who responsed and mercy for those who did not.
https://www.catholicexorcism.org/post/exorcist-diary-181-our-lady-prays-for-peace My comment is that I'm so happy that Msgr. Rossetti's team are believers in Our Lady Queen of Peace. It means so much to me. In this link are tabs at the top of the webpage under the tab "Resources" is a subsection called SMC videos SMC stands for Saint Michael Center for Spiritual Renewal. The videos are online prayer sessions that Monsignor leads to assist the viewer in forgiving enemies, rooting out the spirits of evil that plague each of us, breaking bonds, ties, and curses that we unknowingly have been subjected to, and much more. Monsignor prays minor exorcism prayers in Latin in the latter part of the video, and finishes with a cleansing prayer. I recommend viewing it.
Here is a rough translation of the message given to Mirjana during her annual apparition. ANNUAL APPARITION TO MIRJANA DRAGIĆEVIĆ-SOLDO ON MARCH 18, 2022 The visionary Mirjana Dragićević-Soldo had daily apparitions from June 24, 1981 to December 25, 1982. In her last daily apparition, Our Lady, entrusting her with the tenth secret, said that she would appear to her once a year on March 18. The apparition began at 13:34 and lasted until 13:40. “Dear children! With maternal love I invite you to look to my Son with full strength, faith and trust. Open your heart to Him and do not be afraid. Because my Son is the Light of the world and in Him there is peace and hope. For this I invite you, again, again and again to pray for those children of mine who have not encountered the love of my Son; so that my Son may enlighten their hearts with His light of love and hope, and that you, my children, be strong, give peace and hope. I'm with you. Thanks thanks thanks." (Our Lady blessed everyone)
Mirjana’s yearly Apparition Message from Medjugorje. March 18, 2022 Dear children, With a motherly love I am calling you to—full of strength, faith and trust—look towards my Son. Keep opening your hearts to Him and do not be afraid, because my Son is the Light of the world and in Him is peace and hope. That is why, anew, anew I am calling you to pray for those of my children who have not come to know the love of my Son. So that my Son, with His light of love and hope, may illuminate also their hearts; and you, my children, that He may strengthen and give you peace and hope. I am with you. Thank you.
Message, 25. March 2022 “Dear children! I am listening to your cry and prayers for peace. For years, Satan has been fighting for war. That is why God sent me among you to guide you on the way of holiness, because humanity is at a crossroad. I am calling you to return to God and to God's Commandments that it may be good for you on earth, and that you may come out of this crisis into which you have entered because you are not listening to God who loves you and desires to save you and lead you to a new life. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
Message April 25, 2022 “Dear children! I am looking at you and I see that you are lost. That is why I am calling all of you: return to God, return to prayer—and the Holy Spirit will fill you with His love which gives joy to the heart. Hope will grow in you, also for a better future, and you will become joyful witnesses of God's mercy in you and around you. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
If most of Our Lady's messages in Medjogorje can be summed up in a single word, it would be this word: pray.
Message, 25. May 2022 “Dear children! I am looking at you and thanking God for each of you, because He permits me to still be with you, to encourage you to holiness. Little children, peace is disturbed and Satan wants peacelessness. That is why, may your prayer be even stronger so that every unclean spirit of division and war may be stilled. Be builders of peace and carriers of joy of the Risen One in you and around you, for the good to win in every man. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
"Because He permits me to still be with you"....uhmm...still. This word is important. Our lady is saying that apparitions will finish. Perhaps soon. And after that...the tribulation will begin. The other important thing: we must pray stronger. This is the key for the peace.
A conversion testimony from 2008 posted in Medjugorje every day. The translation may not be perfect... 10/11/2008 Fr. Jozo urged Anka Blasevit to speak, a Yugoslav girl who converted in Medjugorje 5 years ago. It was a vibrant testimony with dramatic notes that involved and moved the priests present: many were crying. She started talking about childhood, about being born in a city in the north of Croatia in the Orthodox area, about the atheistic education she received, about the contempt for the Church that had been instilled in her by the party, in which she was very active from her youth. She tells about her family soon destroyed by her divorce, about her mother falling into alcoholism. She had always had great ideals, but she had sought them far from God. After a year spent in Mexico for her thesis she had also been in Italy in a meditation center, there she had learned to concentrate, to be silent, to enter in herself, but she had not found the God But let's listen to her words: “At one point I had thought of going to Holland to a monastery, to an international meditation center for women, because I didn't want to go back to the world. But a week before leaving I woke up with the certainty that instead I would go to work in Dubrovnik as a guide. I didn't know where this idea came from because I was afraid of returning to the city, to that life, to a beautiful but decadent city. I wanted to live a pure life. I returned to Dubrovnik and the first job assigned to me was to accompany a group of pilgrims to Medjugorje! This is where my story begins: I did not end up in Holland in an institution called "Holy Mother", God brought me to Medjugorje where the Holy Mother is alive and present! I had some doubts, because I was not a Catholic, but then I came to prepare myself before accompanying the group of Cuban pilgrims. I arrived on the Saturday after Easter, I wanted to go to the church thinking of finding information. I went in and first noticed and read the message that was displayed, it was the message of March 25th. I don't remember the exact words but each one seemed to be written for me, I felt like I had God on the phone talking to me. I wanted to write it and I noticed that the Italian Mass was in progress in the church: I knew nothing of the living Jesus, I had never seen the host, I knew nothing of Christian spirituality. At that time people received communion. It all happened in an instant. I saw people taking something in their mouths, then turned around, came to kneel and sang. It was as if there was an invisible line between the priest and the people: people came to get this thing, passed this invisible line and something amazing happened. In that moment I had the particular grace to see the mystical transformation that happens within us after receiving the Body and Blood of Jesus! I did not know anything about this! I've seen people pass this line and change! The same person when he returned to the pew was full of light, light that came towards us, that illuminated the whole face, that filled the church! Then I noticed the song: which is for me today is the symbol of all my testimony. It is a beautiful hymn that condenses the whole Christian faith: "You are my life, I have nothing else, you are my road my truth, in your word I will walk, as long as I have breath, as long as you want". I was ignorant until that moment I received a special grace, I only had an open heart. I received what today I know is called "spiritual communion" and I received Jesus in my heart (weeps). And He stayed with me. I finally felt good, because I had found it, I was thirty years old, but I had found it! After looking for Him all his life. I had been an atheist, a pagan and a communist, but I was looking for that One that I found in the Church that day. I have traveled to many continents, I have traveled thousands of kilometers, I have moved, you can say every stone, I have searched everywhere, but I had left out the Catholic Church! I felt good and bad at the same time, I think of St. Paul thrown off his horse. I suddenly saw my whole life, all the sins committed, which were not few, and many mortal. I was fine because I knew I wasn't crazy and what I was looking for existed. Peace, joy, love, all of this exists and has a name, a very sweet name. I was sick because, together with the system, I had persecuted the Catholic Church and believers. I could no longer leave the Church, but neither could I stay there out of shame: During the rosary in the afternoon I was like a dog patrolling around the Church crying, because I saw everything that I had missed in life. People prayed together in all languages, love was visible, and I was a miserable person who doesn't even know an Our Father! I saw all the misery of my being, because with everything I had done, I didn't even know a prayer! Not knowing how to pray, I didn't know anything. With my group I went to Podbordo and Kricevac. I hadn't told them I wasn't Catholic: it was my job, I didn't know how to tell them. We went to Vicka's and I was uncomfortable, I didn't know how she was going to receive me, how to explain who I was. Instead she spoke to me as if she were my greatest friend and I translated for the group, the various requests for prayers for this and that intention. Then I entered her house, she turned around and said to me: “I will pray for you, too”. This struck me a lot and I felt even more guilty. I am happy to testify to you, Italians, but I hope first of all to do so in my country, in Croatia, and to ask - Who is responsible for this crime done to my people after the Second World War? Who will answer for all these generations that have grown up without God? Who will answer for those millions of lost young people, of broken families? On the Podbordo I experienced the presence of Our Lady, whom I felt as a mother, a perfect mother exactly as I thought, who loves everyone equally, and if I could not return to the church for shame, for prejudices, however I had the right to stay on that mountain. . Because my mother was there and she said to me: I called you. She began to heal my heart, she took me by the hand and took me to the Krizevac where I felt the strong contrast between the doubts, the questions, and my heart that immediately wanted to say yes. And so little by little, with the Mass every day, with the rosary, with the cross given to me by Father Jozo, with prayer, all my questions were answered: now prayer is my life, Medjugorje is my life, and Jesus is my savior. My family has begun to convert, they pray together. They were afraid that I would go immediately to the monastery! My grandfather after having been in the Communist Party for 50 years, a former partisan, immediately wanted the Medjugorje book and the rosary. My mother, after going 15 years without seeing my father after the divorce, she met him and they ate together! Great gifts God has given me! I saw Our Lady in Medjugorje as God's answer to my cry: she heard the cry of my soul and sent it to my country, to speak my language (she cries). And I have found God and known his mercy. I live on this mercy and this grace, because with what I have done I would deserve to be in hell, but the Father has reserved the feast, the new dress, the ring on His finger, love, everything for the prodigal daughter. After all the evil I have done, with His forgiveness He has given me to start living again, and the true dignity of a human being! " (Transcription by P. Gottardi)
Ivan D., one of the visionaries gave this testimony on May 21, 2o22 (only partial testimony because it is a partial transcript) On May 21, the Lebanese International Congress in Arabic on the fruits of Medjugorje was held on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady in Medjugorje, under the sponsorship of Archbishop Aldo Cavalli, Apostolic Visitor from the Holy See for the parish of Medjugorje and Cardinal Bechare Boutros al-Rahi, Patriarch of Antioch and the East. Organized by the MIR Medjugorje Information Center Testimony of the visionary Ivan Dragičević : "This time in which we live now and throughout this period of 40 years, Our Lady clearly invites priests, in particular, to the simplicity of preaching the Gospel, so that believers can follow it, because they can understand better...Many priests who are highly educated or have become theologians preach God's Word in a way that is difficult for people to understand. For this reason, Our Lady wants to draw the attention of priests in a special way to this very important message of simplicity... if the church in general had accepted the call of the Mother from the beginning, many things would certainly have gone differently, and many things would have been better, I would say that seed would really go to fertile land and would have given more good fruits. However, we must accept it as it is and yet the Mother never tires of calling us, she has borne so many good fruits and we must also accept this, as it is; the Mother who wants to lead us all to Jesus and this is her goal! Meeting with Him in the present, establishing a new relationship, a new friendship ... priests must certainly give more of themselves. With this I do not want to criticize the priests, but I speak as a pure believer. Liberalism within the Church often draws people away from the true gospel message . It is here that priests must really give much more, give much more of themselves .... a shepherd must guard his flock, lead his flock. the Gospel says that if, in a flock of sheep, and if one gets lost, the Shepherd goes in search of the lost one, leaving the other 99. This is the message: priests must be truly shepherds who will guard their flock. When the priests come to the apparition, Our Lady does not say "my dear children", but she says "my dear and loved ones". Here you can see how close Our Lady approaches priests, how much she wants to say, encourage them and give them a new strength, so that they can persevere on this path ..... "
Novena to the Queen of Peace for the 41st anniversary of her apparitions How to pray this Novena? One special intention is devoted to each day. We pray for this intention, meditating on the texts that are proposed, through the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary. The first text is a passage from the Gospel, the second - a message of Our Lady from one of the previous anniversaries, and the third - a passage from the Catechism of the Catholic Church. These have been chosen to give a threefold insight into the prayer intention: A Gospel, a Marian (through the messages of Medjugorje) and an Ecclesiastical insight, to help the person who is leading the prayer and introducing the Mysteries. The passages from the Catechism on prayer show us the richness, the depth and the immensity of the experience of Christian prayer, of which Our Lady reminds us here in Medjugorje. The concluding prayer unites all the intentions of prayer regarding the intention for the day. Together towards something new We believe that this unity in prayer will bring a new experience of the love of God, which has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. This experience is always a new beginning, a passage to a new level of existence. Real wars, wars of our doubt and our incredulity can be stopped, and even natural laws can be changed through prayer. We sincerely hope that our common prayer, united in the Heart of Mary for the victory of Her Immaculate Heart, will obtain a conversion in our hearts and in our lives and bring forth the most pleasing and dearest gift to Our Lady. 1st day WE PRAY FOR THE VISIONARIES 1. Prayer to the Queen of Peace PRAYER TO THE QUEEN OF PEACE Mary, Mother of God and Our Mother, Queen of Peace! You came to us to lead us to God. Obtain for us the grace not only to say: “Be it done to me according to Your will!”, but to live it, as you did. Into your hands we put our hands, so that you may lead us to Him amidst these afflictions and woes. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen. Creed, 7 Our Fathers, 7 Hail Marys, 7 Glory Bes…. 2. Veni Creator Spiritus VENI CREATOR SPIRITUS – COME HOLY SPIRIT Come Holy Spirit, Creator, come best gift of God above, the living spring, the living fire, sweet unction and true love. Thou Who are called the Paraclete, from Thy bright heavenly throne, come, take possession of our souls, and make them all Thine own. Thou who are sevenfold in Thy grace, finger of God's right hand, His promise, teaching little ones to speak and understand. O guide our minds with Thy blest light, with love our hearts inflame; and with Thy strength, which never decays, confirm our mortal frame. Far from us drive our deadly foe, true peace unto us bring, and through all perils lead us safe beneath Thy sacred wing. Through Thee may we the Father know, through Thee the eternal Son, and Thee the Spirit of them both, thrice-blessed Three in One. All glory to the Father be, with his co-equal Son: the same to Thee, great Paraclete, while endless ages run. Amen. Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful, and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. - Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created. - And You shall renew the face of the earth. Let us pray: God, who taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that by the gift of the same Spirit we may be always truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. 3. Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary Texts for Meditation Jesus said to his disciples: “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures. And he said to them: “thus it is written that the Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And behold I am sending the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city until you are clothed with the power from on high.” (Lk 24,44-49) "Dear children! Today I thank you for living and witnessing to my messages with your life. Little children, be strong and pray so that prayer may give you strength and joy. Only in this way will each of you be mine and I will lead you on the way of salvation. Little children, pray and with your life bear witness to my presence here. May each day be a joyful witness for you of God's love. Thank you for having responded to my call." (Message, June 25, 1999) "Prayer is the raising of one's mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God." But when we pray, do we speak from the height of our pride and will, or "out of the depths" of a humble and contrite heart? He who humbles himself will be exalted; humility is the foundation of prayer, only when we humbly acknowledge that "we do not know how to pray as we ought," are we ready to receive freely the gift of prayer. "Man is a beggar before God." (2559) 4. The Litany of the Blessed Virgin Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Christ, hear us. Christ, graciously hear us. Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary Texts for Meditation Jesus said to his disciples: “Amen, amen I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father. And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.” (Jn 14,12-14) "Dear children! Today I am with you in a special way and I bring you my motherly blessing of peace. I pray for you and I intercede for you before God, so that you may comprehend that each of you is a carrier of peace. You cannot have peace if your heart is not at peace with God. That is why, little children, pray, pray, pray, because prayer is the foundation of your peace. Open your heart and give time to God so that He will be your friend. When true friendship with God is realized, no storm can destroy it. Thank you for having responded to my call." (Message, June 25, 1997) "If you knew the gift of God!" The wonder of prayer is revealed beside the well where we come seeking water: there, Christ comes to meet every human being. It is he who first seeks us and asks us for a drink. Jesus thirsts; his asking arises from the depths of God's desire for us. Whether we realize it or not, prayer is the encounter of God's thirst with ours. God thirsts that we may thirst for him. "You would have asked him, and he would have given you living water." Paradoxically our prayer of petition is a response to the plea of the living God: "They have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water!" Prayer is the response of faith to the free promise of salvation and also a response of love to the thirst of the only Son of God. (2560 2561) 4. The Litany of the Blessed Virgin Lord, have mercy. We thank You for Your humility in working through a simple man, a priest, giving Yourself to Your people in Holy Mass, in the Sacraments, in Benedictions… Today, we invoke in a special way Your blessing on all priests who minister at the Sanctuary of the Queen of Peace. May they further discover the power of faith through which You grant them whatever they ask of You. May they also become true carriers of peace, fruits of their deeply felt friendship with You. Amen.
It has been just about 35 years since Geralyn and I took Benjamin and Rachel (3 and 1 at the time) to Medjugorje. It was a pilgrimage of great grace, peace, mercy, and healing. Many, including some wonderful members of MOG, question its authenticity. As Our Lady of Lourdes was for my own mother, so Mary became for me as a result of that pilgrimage. It is etched on my soul as a reflection of the indelible signs of Baptism and Confirmation. Luke 1:26 Hail, full of grace! I love you, Queen of Heaven! O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me will be thrown out like a branch and wither; people will gather them and throw them into a fire and they will be burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you. By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples. As the Father loves me, so also I love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy might be in you and your joy might be complete.” (Jn 15,5-8) "Dear children! Today I thank you for all the sacrifices you have offered me these days. Little children, I invite you to open yourselves to me and to decide for conversion. Your hearts, little children, are still not completely open to me and therefore, I invite you again to open to prayer so that in prayer the Holy Spirit will help you, that your hearts become of flesh and not of stone. Little children, thank you for having responded to my call and for having decided to walk with me toward holiness." (Message, June 25, 1996) Where does prayer come from? Whether prayer is expressed in words or gestures, it is the whole man who prays. But in naming the source of prayer, Scripture speaks sometimes of the soul or the spirit, but most often of the heart (more than a thousand times). According to Scripture, it is the heart that prays. If our heart is far from God, the words of prayer are in vain. (2562) 4. The Litany of the Blessed Virgin Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Christ, hear us. 4th day WE PRAY FOR ALL LEADERS IN THE CHURCH 1. Prayer to the Queen of Peace Mary, Mother of God and Our Mother, Queen of Peace! 2. Veni Creator Spiritus Come Holy Spirit, Creator, come best gift of God above, the living spring, the living fire, sweet unction and true love. Amen. 3. Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary Texts for Meditation Jesus said to his disciples: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (Jn 8,12) "Dear Children! Today I am happy to see you in such great numbers, that you have responded and have come to live my messages. I invite you, little children, to be my joyful carriers of peace in this troubled world. Pray for peace so that as soon as possible a time of peace, which my heart waits impatiently for, may reign. I am near to you, little children, and intercede for every one of you before the Most High. I bless you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call." (Message, June 25, 1995) The heart is the dwelling-place where I am, where I live; according to the Semitic or Biblical expression, the heart is the place "to which I withdraw." The heart is our hidden centre, beyond the grasp of our reason and of others; only the Spirit of God can fathom the human heart and know it fully. The heart is the place of decision, deeper than our psychic drives. It is the place of truth, where we choose life or death. It is the place of encounter, because as image of God we live in relation: it is the place of covenant. (2563) 4. The Litany of the Blessed Virgin Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary Texts for Meditation Jesus said to his disciples: “Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and that of the gospel will save it. What profit is there for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? (Mk 8,34-38) "Dear children! Today I am happy, even if in my heart there is still a little sadness for all those who have started on this path and then have left it. My presence here is to take you on a new path, the path to salvation. This is why I call you, day after day to conversion. But if you do not pray, you cannot say that you are on the way to being converted. I pray for you and I intercede to God for peace; first peace in your hearts and also peace around you, so that God may be your peace. Thank you for having responded to my call." (Message, June 25, 1992) Christian prayer is a covenant relationship between God and man in Christ. It is the action of God and of man, springing forth from both the Holy Spirit and ourselves, wholly directed to the Father, in union with the human will of the Son of God made man. (2564) 4.
