It seems like these internet outages could be cyber attacks. I also think that it is best for us all to have some cash at home but make some other preparations too. These incidents are a good reminder imho. I think most of us would loose our landlines in addition if we loose the internet, most landlines are no longer such and they use the internet now. My father, who lived as a child through the Cuban communist revolution, told me what happened with cash in Cuba. He said that people there who foresaw what was coming kept at home large amounts of cash. They feared that their bank accounts would be frozen by the Communist regime. The government unexpectedly announced a change in currency. Only a set amount of old currency could be exchanged for the new currency. I believe we should all keep cash on hand. However, it seems we are heading for a change to digital currency tied to social scores. Keep provisions, pray and trust in God.
I truly believe God will lead each person relying on Him in whatever individual ways they need to be lead. For some reason God wanted to provide me with many big buckets of rice and beans. But I don't feel called to hoard lots of cash. My sister is headed to the bank tomorrow to pull another $500. We've packed our house about halfway up (though we're struggling through sickness at the moment) and will be selling in June. Who knows how quickly God will show us our land. Will we be able to get fall seeds in the ground? Or will it not be until spring? It's a strange feeling watching world events pushing toward collapse and not knowing where we'll even be when it happens or how well prepared we'll be...But we've been feeling drawn toward land and farming for years but hit obstacle after obstacle until now. Now it's go, go, go! It does feel familiar...how God has always worked with our family is He provides and leads down to the wire. We always get exactly what we need when we need it--no more nor less, no sooner nor later. Perhaps it will be a bit like Lot's family walking out of the city mere moments before its destruction.

Remember it begins in Venezuela? Well looks like it IS happening now. Empty store shelves, gas shortage, inflation through the roof. Crime is going up all around us . . .drugs are rampant. The state to the north of us, Michigan legalized marijuana, all kinds of it. There are pot shops everywhere, and crime. I was visiting my cousins up there,one of them is a Minister. Although she does not attend any church but performs weddings and funerals. They were bragging and laughing about going into the pot shops and getting all kinds of free weed samples. Even baked weed brownies. I was speechless. I am witnessing the fall of humanity everywhere. It so obvious the separation of the wheat from the chaff.

Well, there are some foods that you can plant in late spring that will be ready for harvesting late in the year. Barring that, perhaps when you get to your new place you can invest in a portable greenhouse many of the lawn and garden shops are selling. That way, you might be able to grow some food during the winter months.

Another horrific school shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. The gunman killed 14 students and one teacher. There is also a report that he killed his grandmother before going to the school. The shooter was killed by law enforcement. Prayers for these poor innocent souls and their families. Tremendous heartbreak. Edited to add: Sadly, the death toll is now 19 children, and 2 adults. God have mercy.
