Does China consider that any military intervention in Taiwan should be done before a possible return of Trump, since he would be willing to defend the Island militarily and not just impose economic sanctions (which would be a shot in the foot of the American economy)?
This is a huge and very sad list but thank you for posting it Sam. Lots of prayers are needed.+ These things make us feel extremely vulnerable besides all of the feelings of sadness etc. When the attacks on 9/11 occurred we all had this vulnerable feeling and it was awful. Two of my children were in elementary school and my youngest had just started preschool. The elementary school almost immediately took measures to make the school more secure with one point of entry and a security guard, I think that the preschool did something similar. When my daughter reached 4th grade when a parent barged into the school and gained access to my daughters class within a few minutes I realized that nothing is full proof. The parent was upset with a particular student who was harassing her daughter on the bus. It wasn't the right way to handle the situation obviously but thank God her intent was only to reprimand the other child and not to physically harm anyone. I was teaching at a college when the VT attack occurred and again I had that horrible vulnerable feeling. I knew that my college as most colleges was wide open. Iow, anyone can come on the campus enter buildings and class rooms so long as they are open. The only thing I thought the school could do was to program each student's id to scan the door to their classrooms but a lot would have to change because most of the rooms still used a key to open the doors. Even so, if what I suggest here was done a person could simply follow a student into a classroom when the student opens the door. Ultimately, if someone wants to do something of ill intent they will find a way to do it. I do think that it makes sense to make it as difficult as possible for them to do so but still.
