Frankly speaking, I don't know if indeed the pope made that very clear..
That said, I've always made the same point re: How the Church Itself has never apologized for the Church Itself as Sinning.

That said, there are those who come across as being v.unfriendly toward the Church - and do not shy from placing blames upon, 'the Church'.
For Instance: In early 2000 - St. Pope JP II - POPE GIVES APOLOGY TO ALL INJURED BY CHURCH -- Chicago Tribune - Steve Kloehn - (Selection)

Jewish leaders, who have gone through cycles of hope and disappointment in their efforts to elicit a direct apology from the church for its record during the Holocaust, expressed a little of both Sunday.

Israel's chief rabbi, Rabbi Israel Meir Lau, called the confession an accomplishment but said he was "deeply frustrated" that the Holocaust was not mentioned.

A 1998 Vatican document on the role Christians played in making the Holocaust possible, "We Remember,"
was a source of disappointment for many Jewish leaders because it did not put any direct responsibility for the Holocaust on the church, and defended wartime Pope Pius XII.

That said.. Pope Pius XII has often been noted from way back when as being responsible for saving more Jewish lives during WWII - than anyone!
That news - very often posted on Catholic Websites - is always greeted with crickets from those who blame the Church in large part for the Holocaust!

On the other hand, another rabbi, David G. Dalin, in his book 'The Myth of Hitler's Pope' wrote a comprehensive and sturdy defense of Pope Pius XII and the papacy in general, in terms of the Holocaust and relations in general with the Jews. Dalin confirmed the many Jewish lives saved by Pope Pius XII.

Yes.. Another Jewish Author spoke of how the NYTIMES!!! congratulated Pope Pius XII .. As did Israel premier Golda Meir and Albert Einstein
The Chief Rabbi of Rome - Converted to Catholicism!
An estimated upwards of 860,o00 Jewish lives were saved!

WWII ended in 1945 - The AntiChristian lies began c.1963 -

YES! SHAME ON THOSE WHO LIE and try to Blame the Holocaust and Anti-Semitism on Christianity and the New Testament!

Canadian Catholic, David Warren, supports what you said about Pope Francis. According to Warren, no fan of Pope Francis, '...he held his Catholic ground'. Thank God for that.

That he stoutly and unambiguously resisted this opportunity to do great harm to the Catholic Church, adds to the enigma of this pope, who sometimes frustrates the liberals almost as much as he does the traditional Catholics.

This is a very important moment; the media's pet pope has refused to dance to their tune.

A good point in the end about how Popes should take note of the spider's suggestion to the fly to 'come into my parlour'.

Combined with his description of abortion as 'hiring a hit-man', Pope Francis' legacy isn't all bad.

David Warren is a Canadian journalist who became unemployed many years ago because no newspaper would tolerate his uncompromising Catholic views.

I suppose that's what's meant by 'walking the walk'.

Jordan’s King Abdullah II meets Israeli prime minister in Amman
In a meeting with Israel’s Yair Lapid, Jordan’s King Abdullah says Palestinians should be included in United States-backed economic projects in the region.

Jordan’s king has told Israel’s visiting prime minister that Palestinians should be part of US-sponsored regional economic projects to underpin stability in the Middle East.

Jordanian officials say Amman has been pushing Israel to include the Palestinians in water-for-energy deals that both countries are considering and that Gulf Arab countries could help finance.

Israel and Jordan signed a peace treaty in 1994, but the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has long weighed on their bilateral relations. Palestinian leaders seek statehood in territories occupied by Israel since a 1967 war. Peacemaking has been frozen since 2014.

King Abdullah II on Wednesday reiterated to Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid, in their first meeting since United States President Joe Biden’s visit to the region earlier this month, that a Palestinian state was essential to reach lasting peace.

Abdullah “stressed the need to find a political horizon to achieve a just, comprehensive and lasting peace” with the Palestinians, according to a statement from Jordan’s Royal Hashemite Court.

He also asked that Israel work to maintain calm in occupied East Jerusalem and its holy sites, including Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, where tensions have simmered for years.

The Jordanian king and Lapid discussed accelerating bilateral economic projects in the water, energy and food security sectors, as well as transport, an Israeli government statement said.

    Normalisation deals
Israel, which already provides Jordan with some freshwater supplies under their peace deal, has long sought to sell desalinated water as well.

But the kingdom has instead been pushing Israel to relax its grip on the flow of Jordanian exports to the occupied West Bank, a natural, adjacent market for its goods.

Jordanian officials say the shift in US policy under President Joe Biden back towards a commitment to a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has eased pressure on Jordan, a majority of whose 10 million population is Palestinian.

The outcome of Biden’s visit to the region, during which Washington pushed for further normalisation in Israeli-Arab relations to build a front against common foe Iran, was also discussed by the king and Lapid, a Jordanian official said.

The United Arab Emirates normalised ties with Israel in 2020 under a series of US-brokered deals known as the Abraham Accords.

Bahrain and Morocco followed suit, while Sudan also agreed to normalise ties with Israel.

The agreements, reached under former US President Donald Trump, broke with decades of Arab consensus that there would be no ties with Israel while the question of Palestinian statehood remains unsettled.

Bilateral relations between Jordan and Israel, which have long cooperated against security threats, have improved since right-wing former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lost his re-election bid last year after 12 years in office.

Lapid has been serving as interim prime minister since the coalition government he helped unite collapsed last month. He hopes to defeat Netanyahu during Israel’s fifth election in under four years in November.

no, I condemned Israel's pro-abortion policy in the topic about "russia and Ukraine"; In fact, unlike the nato countries, Netanyahu always had a good relationship with Putin.

Russia, Israel tensions will continue to mount: Russian experts

    Published: MAY 6, 2022

After Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made statements about “Hitler’s Jewish blood” and blamed the Jews for being “the worst antisemites,” the verbal and written exchange between Israel and Russia quickly escalated.

the Russian Foreign Ministry kept pouring oil on the fire and issuing statements about Israel “supporting neo-Nazis” in Ukraine and “Israeli mercenaries fighting with the (Nazi) Azov Battalion.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin, who for years maintained close ties with Israel, hasn’t yet reacted to this public row. However, even before Lavrov’s statements, the tensions between Moscow and Jerusalem were mounting.

NOTE: It's not my intention to debate what Lavrov is referring to. It's simply a (small, yet real) part of the overall Rus/Ukr picture..

…I rarely post for several reasons, one of which is I am not here to argue politics. And, Im not doing that now. Im just respectfully offering my own opinion that I really don’t subscribe that Trump skates over the edge. Certainly, he has a personality and flamboyance that riles some and offends others. For whatever reason, Ive understood his underlying points. But my ongoing angst comes not from a man, faults and all, who tried to stand up against a decades long tide of politics as usual and unchecked far left beliefs, but that to this day a good chunk of Congress and a majority of the media have not been held accountable for pushing one conspiracy theory after another against Trump, with no facts but unbridled bias and hatred to back them up. To me, in my lowly opinion, those are the people who skated over the edge right in the face of the American people. Just adding my opinion, not opening up a debate.

OK and Yes... Israel made Abortion even more available - immediately after the US put down Roe vs Wade!
And with its up and coming Third Temple (with AntiChrist?) - It shall receive its due attention..

Such as its Pushing for More Illegal (Jewish-only) settlements!

6 May, 2022 Israel set to approve 4,000 settler units in occupied West Bank

If approved, it would be the biggest advancement of illegal settlement plans since US President Joe Biden took office.
Some 700,000 Jewish settlers live in at least 250 illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank and East JerusalemIsrael
is set to advance plans for the construction of 4,000 illegal settler homes in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli settlements are fortified, Jewish-only housing complexes built on Palestinian land in violation of international law.
Between 600,000 and 750,000 Israeli settlers live in at least 250 illegal settlements in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem.

Interior minister Ayelet Shaked, a staunch supporter of settlements,
wrote in a Tweet on Friday that a planning committee would convene next week to approve 4,000 homes,
calling construction in the West Bank a “basic, required and obvious thing”.

Israel’s Haaretz newspaper reported that the Civil Administration, a military body, would meet to advance 1,452 units,
and that another 2,536 units would be approved by defence minister Benny Gantz.

Will Israel's new Prime Minister Yair Lapid stop this?

Israel seems to be deliberately ramping things up. It's hard to escape the suspicion that their attitude to the Palestinians is representative of their attitude to the rest of us. Monumental arrogance might lead to the comstruction of this arrogant monument.

Do tell. And on that note, Consider this following seeming exclusion in Israel re: an important? manner of - is it Gentiles?

Basic Law: Israel as the Nation-State of the Jewish People
Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, defended his draft of the Nation-State bill on 26 November 2014,
declaring Israel to be "The nation-state of the Jewish people, and the Jewish people alone".

The United States was the first country to recognize Israel as a state in 1948,
and the first to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in 2017. (Pres. Trump - which earned him a street in Israel named after him.. ),
which in turn has been said was necessary in order to open the door for any new temple to be constructed in Jerusalem..

Trump Heights (Hebrew: רמת טראמפ, Ramat Trump, [ʁaˈmat ˈtʁamp])
is a planned Israeli settlement in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights
named after and in honor of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump.

I posted the news about abdullah II and israel precisely because I think he will be involved in a possible peace treaty and the construction of the temple (as guardian of the temple mount); as for the Jewish settlements I think Lapid will not stop them unless it generates a consolidation of peace in Israel that leaves a legacy in its interim government; though I would have preferred him to act for the common good of Jews; Christians and Palestinians regardless of any political legacy.
