One thing I did notice recently, reading the life of the Blessed Anna Maria Tiagi was how much attention the Popes paid to what she had to say for herself. Recall this was a woman who pretty well illiterate, a peasant really. Whats more a woman. A layperson, a mother of a large family. Three Popes paid strict attention to all she had to say. One of them in fact Pope Leo xii seems to have pretty well relied on her totally for advice. Would you get this today? I don't think so. They'd throw her in the Tiber for her cheek. Fr Renee Laurentine the world's foremost Mariologist , who died recently, commented that if Our Lady appeared at Lourdes today there is no way this would be accepted either by the Vatican or the vast majority of Bishops around the World. A large amount of them, I suspect, do not even believe nowadays on the physical Resurrection of Christ. The Modern Death of the Mystical or Supernatural is all around us. They just don't have the Faith for it. But ask them if they believe is locking down churches. Global Warming or Global Covid Vaccinations or the Great Reset and they'd all be nodding their heads like crazy. Bring on the UN to save us all, would be their war cry. I know this is Pope Frankie's war cry. At present he seems far more to refer to the United Nations than he ever does Jesus.
