I’m familiar with the latter, but not the former. Who claimed who was supposed to be found incorrupt?
Conchita claimed that she was told a priest who died at Garabandal, Fr. Luis Andreu, would be found incorrupt the day after the miracle. When he was exhumed years later that was definitely not the case. Supporters claim that it will be miraculous when he is later found restored, and I suppose that is definitely true of that happens, however unlikely that is. There seems to be an awful lot of prophecies that seem to be either wrong or needing to be understood in a different way as time goes on at this site.
Sorry to correct you, but I have 2 sources that dispute that "internet rumor". His grave WAS NEVER OPENED ! #1 In 1976 the rumor was spread that the remains of Fr. Luis had been disenterred together with the many other Jesuits buried at Oña in the years that the Jesuit seminary had been there—it has recently been relocated— and that the caskets had been opened . . . It was reported that, “All the bodies were decomposed.” This information was immediately used as a new proof against the authenticity of the apparitions to discourage many Garabandal devotées, and rejoice their enemies. There was nothing that I could do but wait for time to bring the matter into the open. And after a year, I received this letter: My friend Mr. Cabré from Barcelona received a letter from a missionary priest in South America in which the priest said that he had recently met Father Alejandro Andreu, the brother of the deceased. And he had asked him what had happened to the body of Father Luis. He replied that they had dug up all the bodies and had taken them to Loyola. And that they had opened up every casket with the exception of Father Luis, by order of the Jesuit Provincial. And so they moved the remains of Father Luis without knowing his condition; the others were decomposed. "She Went in Haste to the Mountain", Second English Edition, on pages 190-191, ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #2 Fr.Luis Andreu COFFIN NOT opened In the Portuguese book “ Subiu depressa a Montanha “ Father Eusebio Garciade Pesquera on pages 294 and 295 of Volume I This information was given by his brother Fr. Alexandre Andreu
It is awaiting approval , upon the realization of the "Miracle" SAINT (POPE) PAUL VI : QUOTES ON GARABANDAL After meeting Conchita in Jan.1966 he said: “ Conchita, I bless you and with me the whole church will bless you “. Pope Paul VI had shown a very special interest in the apparitions. At an audience given to Fr. Xavier Escalda, S.J., the latter mentioned there were many opponents of the apparitions even amongst his own people. His Holiness promptly rejoined: "It doesn't matter; tell these gentlemen that it is the Pope who has said that it is most important and most urgent to make these messages known to the world." Father Escalada explained his work in spreading the message of Garabandal in Mexico and the Pope Paul VI encouraged him to continue saying: "These messages must be made known." Father Escalada asked the Pope for his permission to continue promoting Garabandal and the Pope said “YES”. Pope Paul VI said : "It is the most beautiful story of humanity since the days of Christ. It is like a second life of the Virgin on earth. And we can never be grateful enough for it." "Jacinta, I am with you, but we have to pray much and have much patience . . : it. is necessary to pray that the Church will become aware of the importance of Garabandal."
Brian, read my response above, once again Mr Froto has unreliable, incorrect, undocumented rumored information that is not true. Mine you will see, as usual comes with documentation .
Thank you Glenn for posting this, if you have already I have missed it and this is very important imho. Thank you again.
My two cents. When Jesus spoke to Saint Francis and asked him to “rebuild my church “ the great Saint thought He was referring to a dilapidated physical church nearby. He misunderstood Jesus. That does not mean he didn’t see Jesus or made up stories. Likewise it’s possible that the girls, who were very young, very simple and unexposed may have occasionally misunderstood the profound prophetic messages Heaven was conveying to them. But that does not invalidate the extraordinary events of Garabandal or the main messages they received.
Just so we are getting back on track of the original topic ......the end of THE times MY LATEST INTERVIEW WITH JOHN HENRY WESTEN 1-24-23 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyExDsGSrPM
I just watched this yesterday. This was so clear and concise that I finally feel I have the perfect tool to open my family's spiritual eyes. They are listening to a protestant prophet who sound more like a prosperity preacher to me. They love Our Lord but have an aversion to anything involving Our Blessed Mother's role in any capacity. Thank you Glenn, great interview!
Maybe I should create a new thread for this. It is a brief reflection from Bishop Barron regarding some Synodial discussion that may surprise many here. I am very pleased to see this & read it. https://www.wordonfire.org/articles/barron/inclusivity-and-love/
Seems to me, that is why the actual words have been shared & reinforced. They couldn't make any of that up!
Great interview, Glenn. Because you shined your light, and spoke Truth. Another fly by, for me. Times short... Glenn, Padraig, Mario, and Brian when he doesn't get too wound up re. Pope Francis Listen to them Frodo et al...be wise as serpents, and gentle as doves...
there are many conflicting prophecies regarding ww3, some suggest that it will happen and soon actually (gisella cardia, luz di maria, pedro regis, to name a few) and others say no, like garabandal. Hopefully there will never be a ww3, and maybe Russia will spread her errors and invade europe means only a war within Europe (hopefully it won't happen as well) and not a real ww3. In all cases, we should pray day and night for peace, peace threatened everyday as we can see.
