Yes, that is the impression one gets. It has been indicated by some, but you have stated it plainly.

We could see it coming, but it doesn't minimize the suffering. Pope Francis' time is running out, prayers for his salvation.

...Thus, I believe that “Recognize and Resist” is the only legitimate position for today’s Catholic. But on a practical level I would say that for most laity a better outlook would be recognize and resist. This, after all, was the viewpoint of Catholics before the advent of modern communications. The medieval English peasant didn’t know and didn’t care what the pope’s views were on every issue—he simply lived out his life of work, family, prayer, and sacraments in the context of his local parish church. While some must work to publicly resist things like unapostolical papal commands, simply living as a faithful Catholic without constant reference to the latest papal interviews, speeches, and actions can and should be the modus operandi of most Catholics today.

I am torn between the two paths outlined above: on a practical level I would say that for most laity a better outlook would be recognize and resist or perhaps a better outlook would be recognize and ignore. I try to be an honest and reasonable deacon. In the two Novus Ordo parishes where I serve, what percentage of the flock have a working knowledge of this crisis? I'd say at best 5-8%. What is my pastor focused on (and gradually succeeding): drawing Catholics back and building networks of ministry and support, undergirded by orthodox homilies and love for the Eucharist. As stated above: living as a faithful Catholic without constant reference to the latest papal interviews, speeches, and actions can and should be the modus operandi of most Catholics today.

In my Catholic world (outside of MOG and a few others) surrendering to God and allowing His grace to permeate our lives is ultimately all that matters.

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

    Lord have Mercy!

In South Armagh, during what were euphemistically described as 'The Troubles', between 1969 and 1993, the Irish Nationalist people used to recommend, when there were occupying British soldiers present on the streets, 'Don't even ignore them', ignoring being actually a verbal action which was in itself paying too much attention!

A similar attitude to this pontiff might be best for most people, as there are few of us that have any power to resist. Recognise him and forget about him. Don't even ignore him.

This sounds great! Personally, I am still torn and still pondering all of the latest input that has come out in the last few months, but I am now leaning to "recognise and mostly ignore".

I admire your work very much, especially how you stood your ground during the 'vaccination'-campaign and how you suffered white martyrdom when you got cancelled as a hospital chaplain. Also, I admire your pastor (inasmuch as I know about him, through you).

In the three places that we lived in over here, there are a few Novus Ordo-parishes which are perhaps quite similar to yours. For example, I admire the priest that married us, a holy priest involved in Catholic Charismatic Renewal (I believe you have some connections to this movement, too). There is another parish where the Pastor says both the Novus Ordo (as the main Mass) and the Traditional Latin Mass (as Low Mass) on Sundays. I have the greatest respect for this Holy Priest. He is such a holy man, very very caring and striving to save souls, in a very orthodoxic way, too. He went out of his way to give me personal spiritual direction during very difficult trials. Last but not least, the Holy Priest that baptised my wife in a Novus Ordo-rite - a very similar story. I greatly admire him, and am very pleased that he has now been appointed as the Bishop of the diocese here! Quite a wonderful surprise, I recently went to his ordination as Bishop. There is so much striving for holiness, so much beauty in some Novus-Ordo-parishes. We have very good Novus Ordo-friends in all the three places that we lived in, plus the parish that I got baptised in back in 2010.

But, as you said, only a minority of the flock have any knowledge of the extent of the current crisis in the Holy Catholic Church. The majority of Catholics is simply too trusting, and their trust is, sadly, being used. This was very evident during the 'vaccination'-campaign.

So, I do believe that, after the crisis, a return to tradition would be good for the souls of the majority of Catholics, especially regarding the Holy Liturgy. I do think that the Novus Ordo-rite is conceptually somewhat flawed, especially regarding the main Eucharistic prayers, and I do wonder if this was done deliberately ("in malice", as our former poster SgCatholic used to say). But I am in two minds about this - as I said, I can see much beauty and holiness in Novus Ordo-parishes. Initially, after my baptism, I was very much drawn to the Novus Ordo and could not quite connect with the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM). As Padraig once said, the TLM is "an acquired taste". :)

One poster on this beloved forum recently indicated that, whilst he attends the TLM, he is concerned that some traditional Catholic posters are bitter, full of toxic anger, frustration and contempt. I find that very much to be the case on some other internet forums which present themselves as traditional Catholic forums, but not on this forum here, hopefully. :)

God bless you muchly, and all here!

I've heard it said that St Mary Major won't look as empty as St Peters would. His determination to be 'different' (name, apartment, car, burial and so on) might have an ironic propriety if future authorities, with the requisite clout, erase his legitimacy.

A friend posted this last night. It’s too harsh but the basic premise has merit for the known, and often infamous, popesplainers online.

I would go further. The clergy , most especially the senior clergy who remain silent are complicit in this very evident evil.

For the poor sheep it is different.

I cannot understand clergy who remain silent. My own Traditional Pastor has never said a word in public about this. This troubles me greatly, though I judge him to be a good and holy man.

You kow years and years ago when I first began to speak out about Papa Frabkie and his various demonic activities on this forum I fully expected to be just about the only one left here. But I told the truth about the horrible guy anyway.

I expect other people to speak out too. Especially now when everyone can see the truth quite clearly
