St. John the Baptist in the Gospel has said " I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaias.".

Minions up to the very pinnacle are working diligently to close the way.......heartbreaking as it is, it is the truth.

Isn't this pretty much it? Isn't this the crossing of the line in the sand? I mean this is a blasphemy against the Holy Catholic Faith. What happens next? Or is this the way the Church "dies" not with a bang but a whimper.( apologies to TS Eliot) The Crucifixion commences. "God have mercy on all poor Christian souls"

The impression I have is that after Benedict XVI passed away, the same group that elected Francis established a schedule for the reforms that he has to carry out in a short time.

    Makes sense to me.

I am sitting here looking out my window at howling wind and driving rain and praying for mercy. Everything is being shaken loose.

Rumors about the creation of the "synodal conclave" also seem to point to this.

I think it is speaking in riddles to become popular. Everyone should be blessed, we are all children of God. After every Mass we are blessed. The sinner is blessed, not the sin. The fact that the gay community was singled out is to send a mixed message. Educated Catholics understand this, the uneducated masses will read something entirely different into this.
    It’s called politics.

Same here AED, passing through a terrible storm literally and figuratively. We have no power at the moment, so I decided to sit down with my phone and check the forum only to see this horrific news. God help Pope Francis, he has intentionally sowed the seeds of a dreadful confusion among the faithful. I am afraid to let my mind wander into the future and think of the chastisements that await our poor Church. God have mercy.

Jesuit double speak from the same document

For this reason, when it comes to blessings, the Church has the right and the duty to avoid any rite that might contradict this conviction or lead to confusion. Such is also the meaning of the Responsum of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which states that the Church does not have the power to impart blessings on unions of persons of the same sex.

The same applies when the blessing is requested by a same-sex couple.
    40. Such a blessing may instead find its place in other contexts, such as a visit to a shrine, a meeting with a priest, a prayer recited in a group, or during a pilgrimage. Indeed, through these blessings that are given not through the ritual forms proper to the liturgy but as an expression of the Church’s maternal heart—similar to those that emanate from the core of popular piety—there is no intention to legitimize anything, but rather to open one’s life to God, to ask for his help to live better, and also to invoke the Holy Spirit so that the values of the Gospel may be lived with greater faithfulness.

There is no such thing as a union of the person of the same sex
! This is a lie from the secular new world order that is a world-view from the pits of hell.

I would argue that using the term same sex couple is also an oxymoron.

In this document the Church has caved into the language of the world!

    It is liquid apostacy!

It's blessing sodomy. That's what a same-sex 'relationship' is about. He's fooling nobody, God help him.

The Early Church fathers - no mention of unions or couples - only a condemnation of the vile acts .

Tertullian actually said 'we banish (them) from all the shelter of the Church for they are not sins so much as monstrosities'.

    Clement of Alexander
Accordingly, the just punishment of the Sodomites became to men an image of the salvation which is well calculated for men. For those who have not committed like sins with those who are punished, will never receive a like punishment” (ibid., 8).

    Tertullian
“[A]ll other frenzies of the lusts which exceed the laws of nature, and are impious toward both [human] bodies and the sexes, we banish, not only from the threshold but also from all shelter of the Church, for they are not sins so much as monstrosities” (Modesty 4 [A.D. 220]).

    John Chrysostom
“All of these affections [in Rom. 1:26–27] . . . were vile, but chiefly the mad lust after males; for the soul is more the sufferer in sins, and more dishonored than the body in diseases” (Homilies on Romans 4 [A.D. 391]).

    Augustine
“[T]hose shameful acts against nature, such as were committed in Sodom, ought everywhere and always to be detested and punished. If all nations were to do such things, they would be held guilty of the same crime by the law of God, which has not made men so that they should use one another in this way” (Confessions 3:8:15 [A.D. 400]).

In an October 1946 Radio Message to the Participants in the National Catechetical Congress of the United States in Boston, Pope Pius XII spoke a prophetic word: “Perhaps the greatest sin in the world today is that men have begun to lose the sense of sin.”

Everywhere sodomy is mentioned in Scripture it is condemned and condemned in the very strongest possible terms.

In the last 200o years of the Church it has been condemned ,also in the strongest possible terms by Popes, by the Fathers of the Church and the many , many saints.

Up until now. Now, apparently times have changed. Now we are more modern, more enlightened. Less rigid, less fanatical, less zealots. More progressive, more in step with the times. More up to date.

They all got it wrong. But now, thanks to Papa Frankie, we are right on the bullseye.

All's well that ends well it seems.

Thanks Frankie for setting it all straight.

    Thanks a bundle.

“Tenderness is false mercy. It’s easy, emotion without reason. Mercy takes strength, courage, love. Tender-hearted folks will never be there for you when the dark is darkest.”

If Bishop Strickland had been a Sodomite not only would he still be a Bishop in Texas he would probably be a Cardinal in the Vatican.

Look at a lot of the obscure people Papa Frankie raised up to be Cardinals and you'll see what I mean.

I have to say I would be very, very careful of any Cardinal , Bishop or Priest who does not openly speak out against this . Remaining silent is not an option. Even if they do not agree with it in their silent hearts.

Silence is no longer an option (if it ever was)

Be very, very careful indeed of those who continue to remain silent at this stage . Very, very careful indeed of them. They should be screaming and howling from the rooftops a warning.

Their silence tells you all you need to know about them.

    Ephesians 5:11

Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.
