I don’t know if it’s betrayal or inability to see things as they are. I’ve noticed that many of us fail to understand the profound significance of Our Lord’s words below. We don’t realize the spiritual dimension of what’s going on in the Vatican today. We are often as innocent as doves but not “as shrewd as snakes “. Pius 10 and Padre Pio were both. Matthew 10:16 ► “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.
It's betrayal pure and simple. No amount of sugar coating by Fr Mark Goring and others can ever make that abomination an acceptable document It is crystal clear that the modernist heretics have betrayed Christ and his Church in a Judas act. It is diabolical disorientation from the very top. Fasten your seatbelts we are about to enter the era of God's justice. For me this is the clear definitive turning point. It is time to put on sackcloth and ashes and pray the penitential rosary. I agree with Padraig 2024 marks the beginning of tribulation. Pachamama ushered in the COVID vaccine dictatorship. This rainbow heresy will result in fire falling from the sky.
If it weren't for the apparition of Fatima that predicted the current apostasy in the church, I would probably be heading towards the orthodox church. However, there are many Catholics who are not deeply aware of the plots that took place for decades aimed at suppressing the third secret. There are also people who think that the secret is made up solely of the vision of a pope's martyrdom and that this was fulfilled in the attack on Saint John Paul II in 1981.
I think that's why they released this at Christmas, because they knew it would have a dampening effect on opposition, or at least so they hoped.
Truth Michael, Man will live forevermore because of Christmas Day. Jesus’ birth had an everlasting impact on humanity. The song not only acknowledges the significance of Jesus’ arrival but also celebrates the hope, love, and salvation he brings to the world. A blessed Christmas to all of our wonderful forum members who have patiently, and graciously tolerated my 2023 opinions. I wish you all spiritual peace and good health in the New Year. God bless you and your loved ones.
I don't mean to be too harsh on poor people. But, 'Inability to see things as they are', is perhaps itself a result of sin. So,say someone were to go to see Padre Pio in confession and Padre Pio was to point out a mortal sin from, say, 40 years ago which they had clean , 'Forgotten'. Does the fact that they , 'Forgot' it make them not culpable? People forget things for a reason. I mean if they were not culpable Padre Pio would not have pointed it out to them. I would not be inclined to let people off the hook because they , 'Cannot see', or, 'Do not understand'. My question then would be, 'Well why do you not see?' and then, 'Why do you not understand?' I would not be inclined to give people a Free Pass on all this. Especially Clergy who should very much know better. Have you noticed something really weird in all this? Laypeople who attend Church tend to be very much opposed to all this abominable wicked nonsense; it is the Clergy, especially the Higher Clergy who tend to be all for it. Mass going laypeople I would say don't want to know.
I suspect many Clergy in the West are themselves Sodomites or else have been associating with Sodomites for so long they see no harm in it. Being a priest is very, very attractive to Sodomites for a variety of reasons..and the demons..of ..course very, very much encourage this. They assist each other up the career ladder which is why so many of our Bishops and Cardinals have this inclination.
I don't think Fr. Goring has had time to process the harsh reality ahead of him. He's young, passionate, and he believes he can fix the mess so we can "go along to get along" in order to save the Church from schism. In other words, those who make waves and refuse to cooperate with the document will be held responsible, this honestly makes me feel threatened. I just cannot accept that a solution could be found in compromise with this situation. I don't believe for one moment that God would want a "Church of compromise".
I believe this mirror foretold in Fatima is the Warning. God’s mirror that will reflect our sins. And it will be the 4th Pope mentioned in Garabandal that will pass through judgment as well.
Anyone who has lived through a sort of mini "illumination of conscience" would agree with what is written here......imho, nothing goes unnoticed from above. St. Faustina, I believe, describes it well in her diary. Again, imho, so many have been deceived into believing "busy-ness" is akin to holiness....The balance between living out our vocations and a prayerful, virtuous life has been almost destroyed by the "social justice" busy crowd. And good clergy, sadly, have been affected by this more than any other group. They just don't understand.......
The reason why most lay people are opposed to Sodomy is because most lay people are married. Its a bit like cats and dogs. Married people instinctively understand that the single Sodomite lifestyle is anti life and the Sodomites instinctively understand that the married heterosexual life style by its very nature condemns their own. Like I say cats and dogs. People may of course attempt to disguise this natural dislike because of the surrounding culture, but it is always there. In either case Natural Law means that people generally have a quiet or not so quiet disgust with sexual perversions...and those who perpetrate them. It's only because we in the West are so totally degenerate as Societies we cannot see this clearly; the rest of the World sees this perfectly clearly. Sodomy is disgusting, by its very nature.
I know people who go to daily Mass who think this is all just fine because “Jesus ate with sinners”. I said yes he did, but he also told them to repent.
The present incumbents in the Vatican are pushing a dumbed down form of pretend Catholicism that is insipid and worldly. It is not true Catholicism. Where is the call to holiness? We appeal to homosexuals not through blessing them as couples but showing them the path to Jesus Christ who alone is the fulfilment of all our desires. Christ is the answer to all human needs and desires - it is holiness that attracts. We need to get that message across that anyone can become a saint by the grace of God and that peace of soul comes through having a relationship with the God who created us and loves us beyond all telling. I really feel for the chaste same sex attracted Catholics who are trying to live holy lives like the rest of us through the grace of God. They feel betrayed and insulted by this new novel document that is facile and contradictory verbiage that betrays the truth of human dignity. Let us remember there are tens of thousands of our brothers and sisters who are oriented that way but living chaste and holy lives in the midst of a culture that condemns them for doing so. It must he so hard for them to be betrayed like this from the top. I don't believe those in charge believe in Christian anthropology that man has a soul and that we need to be saved through grace and faith. It is as if the Church is being run by a group of social workers.
Apart from theology, the true teachings of the Church and Scripture it is very unkind to permit people to sell themselves on a lie which will severely hurt them. For instance the suicide rate amongst homosexuals are far higher than amongst the rest of us. They are not happy clappers. https://williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu/press/suicide-coming-out-press-release/ More than 60% of suicide attempts among LGBQ people happen within five years of realizing they are LGBQ A new study by the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law finds most suicide attempts (61%) among LGBQ people occurred within five years of realizing one’s sexual minority identity. However, a significant proportion of attempts (39%) happened outside this age range. Researchers examined a representative sample of LGBQ people in the United States from three age groups—young (18-25), middle (34-41), and older (52-59)—to assess the concurrence of suicide thoughts, plans, and attempts with coming out milestones, such as first sexual attraction to someone of the same sex and realization of LGBQ identity. The mean age of suicidal thoughts, plans, and attempts seemed to track closely with age of first realization of LGBQ identity, which is 14, 16, and 18 for young, middle, and older LGBQ people. On average, the first suicidal thoughts were reported at ages 14, 18, and 23 years in the young, middle, and older cohorts. Lifetime suicide attempts were reported by 31% of young LGBQ people, compared to 24% of the middle cohort, and 20% of the oldest group. In the middle and older cohorts, 24% and 29%, respectively, of first suicide attempts occurred at age 26 or older, and half (14%) of these attempts happened after age 41 in the older group. “Public health and LGBTQ providers often focus on youth at risk, but it is vital that policies and suicide prevention interventions focus on the unique vulnerabilities of LGBQ people of all ages,” said lead author Ilan H. Meyer, Distinguished Senior Scholar of Public Policy at the Williams Institute. “The coming out process may present unique challenges to the mental health of young people, while isolation, lack of connection to the LGBT community, and concerns about caregiving may negatively impact older adults.” Significantly more sexual diseases https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/6893897/ Abstract This study compared prevalence rates of most common sexually transmitted diseases (STD) in heterosexual and homosexual men who made respectively 12,201 and 5324 visits to an STD clinic over 18 months. Overall, homosexual men were significantly (p < 0.001) more likely than heterosexual men to have gonorrhea (30.31% vs. 19.83%), early syphilis (1.08% vs. 0.34%) and anal warts (2.90% vs. 0.26%) but less likely to have nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) (14.63% vs. 36.40%, p < 0.001), herpes genitalis (0.93% vs. 3.65%, p < 0.001), pediculosis pubis (4.30% vs. 5.35%, p < 0.005), scabies (0.42% vs. 0.76%, p < 0.02), and genital warts (1.68% vs. 6.69%, p < 0.001). In most cases the differences in rates remained significant (p < 0.05) when corrected for age and race. It is speculated that higher rates of gonorrhea and syphilis result from a larger mean number of sexual contacts, more potential sites of infection, and more hidden and asymptomatic disease, while the lower rates of the other STD result from a lesser susceptibility of anal mucosa to the causative agent(s) of NGU, herpes genitalis, and venereal warts or from a lack of pubic apposition (pediculosis pubis). One recent study shows drug abuse amongst homosexuals is three times higher than that amongst normal people https://londonfriend.org.uk/official-data-confirms-lgb-drug-use-much-higher-than-heterosexuals/ Yesterday the Home Office released the latest official figures on drug use in England & Wales. For the first time in five years they have been analysed by sexual orientation, giving us a rare comparison at how use differs for lesbian, gay and bisexual people. The headline figure in the Crime Survey for England & Wales is that drug use in the past year amongst gay and bisexual men is three times higher (33%) than use amongst heterosexual men (11.1%). For lesbian and bisexual women use is more than four times as high (22.9%) than for heterosexual women (5.1%). Just as for heterosexuals, the most commonly used illicit drug amongst LGB people is cannabis, used by around 1 in 5 gay or bi men, and 1 in 6 lesbian or bi women. Compared with heterosexuals these rates are again much higher: more than twice as high for gay and bi men and a whopping four and a half times higher for lesbian and bi women. The figures, in fact, show higher use across all drugs by LGB people; unsurprisingly the largest difference is in the use of amyl nitrite (poppers), the second most commonly used drug by gay and bi men, and 25 times more common than amongst straight men. We also see large differences in ‘club’ drugs such as ecstasy (almost five times higher in LGB people) and ketamine (seven and a half times more common). Even drugs thought to be less associated with the gay community like heroin and crack cocaine see higher levels of use, although just as for heterosexuals use of these is thankfully very low.
A set of rosary beads over your ear! Why? The significance is lost on me! Is the point of this strange photo op with a set of rosary beads over the ear, a new form of humility?, or did this happen accidentally to the pontiff while he twirled them about in the air? If its indeed the later, then I know something of this conundrum. Many times I had to redirect my 2 year olds when praying the family evening rosary. Children of this age can easily become focused on other things and use the rosary beads as play things. What usually refocused the infant, was giving the child reasons for respect, if this was not sufficient to stop the the rosary beads from ending up over the ear or under the cats paw, then the beads were taken from the infant. As I remember the child was never distressed by this, and in fact, he/her used to cuddle up to me while we completed the rosary. Maybe Pope Francis needs a mother? Dearest mother Mary, undoer of knots, pray for us and please pray for our Holy father Pope Francis now. Amen
Yes, Cardinal Mueller is as sharp as a tack. If he weren't European I think he would be the ideal person to succeed Pope Francis but from an evangelical perspective, a good African would probably be best for bringing the faith to the ends of the earth. Not just any African or non-European because the global South has some wolves. What has been done is very clever, and I don't believe that Pope Francis is clever enough to have come up with it. I believe that his intentions are genuine. He's just a bit of a fruitcake when it comes to sins of the flesh. I think we are witnessing the birth of the false church that Fulton Sheen warned about - an ape of the true church. It makes sense that it should be born at Christmas time. It also makes sense that it come from Rome because none of the Protestant churches that already support abominations has any real moral authority. We now have blessings that are neither sacramental nor liturgical. Cardinal Fernandez said this is something new. Well, something new can be developed just as doctrine has developed. The false church has just been born. The real question for me is how will it develop over, say, the next 33 years. My guess is that it will exist within the true Church and develop alongside the Doctrine that has been handed down to us until it reaches the stage where it can break apart from the Church. Meanwhile, we will have priests conferring both sacramental and non-sacramental blessings and whatever else develops from this innovation, The next Pope might clamp down but that can only be a temporary measure because, the document being magisterial, means that the damage has been done. It can be resurrected at any time. I hope and pray that I'm wrong. I genuinely believe that Pope Francis has done this unwittingly (with regard to the possible long term consequences). I don't believe he's a heretic and I don't believe he's half as clever as he thinks he is. And Cardinal Fernandez doesn't strike me as the sharpest tool in the box. I think that this has its origins in Germany. The schmalzy language might be Francis and Fernandez boot the method has German written all over it. What we must remember is that, evil or not, God has permitted this We get the leaders we deserve so our fingers should be pointing back at ourselves.
