Tre Fontane or Three Fountains is the location were St Paul suffered Martydom be having his head chopped off on the Via Appia.. The Legend goes that Three Fountains sprung up were his head hit the ground three times. There is the most beautiful Church nearby, called, 'Gate of Heaven', run by the Cistercians:

The Pope at the time it seems loved them. There are Marian Secrets involved, surprise, surprise kept hidden by the Vatican, regarding the Church in the futre. Certainly authentic.

This link is very informative. I have always believed in this apparition, the words of Our Lady seem (to me anyway) so authentically those of a mother to a disobedient son (loving but absolutely no-nonsense).
