I would be most concerned about people who travel along a road that is made of gold and perfectly straight. Look for instance at Mary and Joseph on the road to Bethlehem. A catalogue of failures. For King Herod though everything was cool. My own life has been an entire history of disasters, thank God.
When my husband, kids and I started the Sacred Heart novena 9 days ago, we thought we were just asking God to get my husband a better job. On day 2, we took a sudden turn and asked God to take us where He wanted us to live. Today, on the Feast of the Sacred Heart, our house has just been put on the market. I have no idea how it happened this fast. Our Catholic realtor prayed with us before he left our house, and though things are bittersweet, I trust Jesus 100%. This is also our 9th First Friday, and thus we will finally have successfully completed the 9 First Fridays devotion when we attend Mass in a few hours.
Praying to St Joseph. I don't know what it is like in the USA but in Ireland if it was five weeks and no show I would not worry too much.
Interest rates may be a factor, but it's only been a few days so hang tight. Praying you'll hear something soon.
Well....I'm back...with a new update in this rollercoaster that is my life. It's been over two months since we put our home on the market. During that time: 1. We've had no offers 2. My husband has lost all desire to move back to the suburbs 3. Everyone has settled in here more and more and loves it My husband doesn't love it as much as the rest of us, but he admits that he has no idea what he'd actually love anyway, and that there's nowhere he's seen that we can afford that he'd rather be more than here. Today he wrote a long, beautiful email to our realtor about how happy his family is here and that he wants to take the house back off the market and give it a real shot. So for now, this is home and where we will stay. Also, Baby #5 will be making his/her debut in April. I believe she is a girl, obtained for me by St. Therese. If so, her name will be Emmaline Marie Therese. Please pray for a healthy, uneventful pregnancy. Thank you so much!
Thanks, HH! "Plant another tree" made me smile. We are saving up a little money each time my husband works overtime to put toward buying some trees to plant this winter.
