Dear Forum Members . . .I have been awol for awhile working on a huge job and have finished it. Perhaps many of you know of all the illness' I have been suffering for quite a few years, the most recent one Polymyalgia Rhuematica. It's an autoimmune disease affecting mostly Irish and English heritage . . .usually in 70's age group although since the jab more younger people are getting it. I also have another autoimmune disease and other things. PMR usually lasts about two years and mysteriously goes away and mine is finally going into remission, Praise God. It is extremely painful and I was on prednisone for over a year to control the inflammation and went off of that in December. My Dad had PMR in the 1970's before there was a formal 'diagnosis' and he had it for about two years. I say I got the cess pool of the gene pool, ha. But enough of that. I want to share with you a miraculous healing I have had! In 2019 I started having horrific headaches, so painful I would pace the floor in agony. I went to the ER and the docs did a CT scan of my head. The Dr. came into the room and said, "good news, bad news". Bad news is you have a brain tumor, good news is it's not cancer. See a neurosurgeon next week. My tumor was called an 'epidermoid' brain cyst, about the size of a sardine. It's something I was born with and grows very very slowly. I saw the neurosurgeon and he said he could not operate because it was deep in the cerebellum and I would be a vegetable if he went in there to try and take it out. Maybe some of you remember this, I asked for prayers. I went home in severe pain and on pain meds. I took a relic I have of Bl Solanus Casey and held it in my hands and asked him for intervention . . .I was begging for intervention. One of the forum members immediately ordered a Seraphic Mass said for me and had the card sent to me . . .thank you Heavenly Hosts! My pain started easing up and I went to see my neurologist who ordered an MRI. When I went to see her a month later she said, there's a space in your brain and I don't see a tumor but an empty space. I didn't know what to make of that, I thought, "am I a brick short a load?" I let it kind of ride. Eventually after a few months the headaches went away. Fast forward to this past winter. Headaches returned, not as bad as before. I asked my Dr. to repeat the MRI wondering if the cyst was growing again. The report came back and said the headaches most likely were caused by some deterioration in my neck bones, probably from the prednisone. But there was no evidence of a brains cyst, in fact the damaged white area showed no signs of ever having been damaged. My doctor said 'this is a miracle'. I immediately felt I had to tell someone about this! I wrote to the committee for the cause of beatification of Bl Solanus Casey and they concurred it was a miracle but since it did not happen instantly it would not be evidence for the cause of sainthood. However, I know he had a hand in it! Prayer is so powerful and I am so grateful for all the prayers said for me from this forum. I just LOVE Good news!!!! Praise be to Jesus Christ, now and forever. Kathy
Very happy for you and yes it’s great to see good news. Coincidentally, just last week another forum member (Bartimaeus) mentioned they were visiting NYC and looking for locations where Solanus Casey served!
This is such a beautiful update to read, Katfalls. I'm so glad for you and so glad you shared it here. I've a friend who has some lesions on her liver. Reading about your experience & miracle, there's a jump in my heart to pray to Bl Solanus for a miracle for this friend.
Thank the Lord for the intercession of saints like Blessed Solanus Casey and HH! So happy for you, Katfalls!
What a wonderful wonderful testimony. Thanks be to God for hearing the prayers of Fr Solanus Casey and the Forum members. Shout out to Heavenly Hosts for the Seraphic Mass. What a lovely kind faithfilled thing to do.
He was from Detroit. And the Capuchins in Detroit have his tomb there and you can visit it. I have visited a couple times, but not for a very long time. A very humble, simple, and quiet Irishman.
I'll continue to keep you in prayer regarding your neck bones! St. Therese, please join me in prayer!
