    Dear padraig
How beautiful you are called to be there at this most special time. I went to confession a few hrs ago. I took a sickie from my pm nursing shift confessed same and my priest told me not a sin to put God first! Pls pls pray for me and my family including a three month old grand son. It is simply an unprecedented time. The daily attacks the confusion the crisis within the church. I often think of Ivan when he said this would be the time of secrets. Tell our mother I love her and desire above all that my heart is changed according to his holy will. I do not often post…. It causes too much anxiety. I am nothing but a little soul no one. I do not have anything but my faith. Poor in this world but rich in prayer. I cannot begin to describe his grace toward me. His presence. I offer a simple prayer for you. His will be done.

Thank you so much for your prayers. I will pray for all, especially if I get to attend a Marian apparition. For what its worth I think that poor priest is very much mistaken and telling people you are sick when you are not to skip work is not a good thing to be up to. Not even for prayer and a Sacrament. .

But, hopefully God will make allowances, however I would not make a habit of it.

    Padraig,
Hi, I'm happy and excited for your trip to there. I've been there once long ago, year 1995-96.
I will pray for you and for your successful and blessing-filled trip and for Anna Rose.
Please include in prayer intentions for: Blessed Mother, me, my daughter, my family and for healing of my various health and mind related issues including my lungs disease. In advance, thank you so much!
Our Lady, Queen of Peace, pray for us! Amen. +++

I am sitting in Manchester Airport in England , having just arrived from Ireland and it is 10pm. My flight to Croatia does not leave to 8:30 am which gives me a lot of time to kill. Later I hope to find a place on the airport floor nice and quiet to sleep.

The flight from Ireland was only an hour and I barely got time to say a Rosary and read a little of a book by Don Dolindo on the Holy Spirit which someone sent me and just arrived today.

Planes could be made for rosaries, they blend right in there , though I find I have to keep my eyes tight shut praying to avoid distractions. I smiled thinking of the Assumption of Mary into heaven while flying.:)

When I arrive in Croatia it is , I think a five hour drive to Medugorje when I will hope to climb into bed for a while. Although maybe not, I may be too excited and would love to get to Mass and get up the mountain for the novena.

    I will see.

I will pray for you, especially for healing. It is very hot out there so I suppose praying inside in the cool in front of the Blessed Sacrament would be nicel

It was a lady who gave the homily at Mass this morning. The theme of the homily and the Novena is, 'Helping each other'. I admired her courage speaking to such a huge crowd. Her husband had been an alcoholic and eventually he left her. A short time after that he committed suicide. A little later she discovered she had great cancer from which she has now recover. She said how bitter and angry she was at God. But various people helped her back on course again.

Maybe I am being too hard but I though it was curiously a Godless kind of talk as was the theme for the talks at the novena. Of course we should all help each other. But we don't have to be Christians to do that. Most of the priests at the monastery are I believe Modernist heretics, close to the Freemasons so this very general theme of being nice and helping each other with little or no reference to God would be right up their street.

But she got him getting applause. I am very suspicious. Where do these lay people who suddenly arrive to give homilies come from? Why them in particular? Who picked them and why? Why are the priests themselves not giving the homilies?

If the Shepherds turn to wolves who will save the poor sheep.

Well I would not say I was suffering too much.:) In fact I feel quite content. But I really hope I can sleep at least a few hours...

I looked on the ventusky app and it says that as the crow flies the distance from Dubrovnik to Medjugorje is the same distance as Belfast to Coleraine. But maybe the route is a bit more circumlocuitous. I hope you have a good journey Padraig. Please keep me in your prayers and that I can be reconciled with my son and my wife. God bless.

Our Lady Queen of Peace pray for us!

The trip from Dubrovnik to Medjugorje is much better than it used to be. The road has been improved and it took us only 2 and a half hours in the taxi last time. On Saturday nights they have a beautiful adoration after Mass. If you could do that it would be lovely. You might be able to get to the base of Apparition Hill by taxi after that. Taxi is 5euros for anywhere in Medjugorje.
