Yes. And quite honestly " there but for the grace of God go I..." I have done many wicked things in my life. And I was graciously and mercifully forgiven. I dare not judge anyone. Ever. Especially not the Pontiff. His papacy has caused much suffering. A fact is a fact. But why he did it we do not know. Only God knows. May God be merciful to all poor sinners. Especially those who have no one to pray for them.
Unfortunately we are in unprecedented times the crisis in the Church is causing the loss of many souls. The fact that Russia alone has not been consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by the Pope in union with all the bishops is a profound sign of the times as Christ indicated, 'when I return will I find faith on the earth'? 108 years after Fatima & still waiting. We have a duty to make many sacrifices, pray the daily rosary and make reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, to save souls and make up for the lack of faith of our shepherds in these times.
I've noticed this when ppl are possessed. I have seen the whites of their eyes turn really white. Their eyes visibly change.
I think when it comes to the Pope, I'm not sure I can say Catholics are really 'criticising' him anymore, they are making observations. While, I can understand where he's coming from sometimes, he tends to go off the deep end with things. The Pachamama stuff, the 'All religions lead to God.' Well, isn't Satanism considered a 'Religion'? He said couples cohabiting is already a sign of fidelity. He said it was a sin to refuse to take the vax. He said those attached to the TLM have a psychological disorder & need to seek therapy. I pray for his conversion, but I don't think I give him much thought now; we have a spiritual obligation to everyone. Will we lead their soul to Heaven or to Hell? We can't endanger a soul(s). True love, always protects. James 4:17 says: So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, it is a sin.
John the Baptist called Herod and his wife out publically because Herod had married his brothers wife. But who was John the Baptist to Judge the sins of other people? Did he not have enough sins of his own to worry about? Who was he to enter into Judgement about other people's private marriage arrangements? And publically in front of thousands and thousands of people. Where was the love? The Spirit of Accompniment? Not only was John the Baptist guilty of Judging other people , all the Prophets were constantly at this , Judging other people and calling them out before the entire Nation. Deeply uncharitable and Judgemental. No wonder they all wound up getting killed. Jesus Himself was probably the most guilty of this Judgement thing Himself. He said the most truly horrid things about the Sadducess and Pharisees, the Scribes and Lawyers. . In fact He never seemed to stop attacking them. Unhinged.
Yes, that's why I tend to think is it judgement or being factual. Calling a spade a spade. Are we supposed to pretend the Pope hasn't done those things/hasn't said what he's said? It's like living in la la land lol!
In the Bible, prophets are known for "calling out evil" by publicly denouncing immoral behavior and societal injustices, often delivering messages from God to warn people about the consequences of their actions and urge them to repent and return to righteousness; their role is to speak truth to power, even when it is unpopular or dangerous.
The Greatest lack of Charity is not to warn people when they are clearly running on the road to hell. Silence in such a thing is not charity but collusion with great evil. Since when was being , 'Charitable' and , 'non judgemental', all about being nice? Ezekiel 3 Ezekiel’s Task as Watchman 16 At the end of seven days the word of the Lord came to me: 17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die forb]">[b] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself. 20 “Again, when a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 21 But if you do warn the righteous person not to sin and they do not sin, they will surely live because they took warning, and you will have saved yourself.” 22 The hand of the Lord was on me there, and he said to me, “Get up and go out to the plain, and there I will speak to you.” 23 So I got up and went out to the plain. And the glory of the Lord was standing there, like the glory I had seen by the Kebar River, and I fell facedown. 24 Then the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet. He spoke to me and said: “Go, shut yourself inside your house. 25 And you, son of man, they will tie with ropes; you will be bound so that you cannot go out among the people. 26 I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth so that you will be silent and unable to rebuke them, for they are a rebellious people. 27 But when I speak to you, I will open your mouth and you shall say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says.’ Whoever will listen let them listen, and whoever will refuse let them refuse; for they are a rebellious people.
It's like with St Stanislaus. He confronted the King of Poland for having an affair with a citizen. The King didn't like that & ordered servants to kill St Stanislaus. We should be bold with our Faith & call out evil. It's not the heart we are judging, since we don't know ones intentions, it's the actions that are a slippery slope of evil & endangering souls. Esp souls that may not know any better...
A Cardinal one time wrote a letter to Saint Catherine of Sienna criticisng her for not showing him sufficient respect ; she wrote back: 'When your Eminence behaves in a manner worthy of respect I will show you such respect'. Since when has the Gospel turned into being about being nice to people and calling it , 'Charity'?
I thought of you, AED, and the former cenacle to which you belonged, while listening about Fr. Gobbi in the above clip. Thank you Dear Lady for cooperating with your Son, by which a variety of channels of grace came to open hearts.
Praying for Pope Francis. It feels as if time is short https://aleteia.org/2025/02/10/pope...ily-&utm_content=Newsletter&utm_term=20250211
Thanks so much for this, Border Collie. Been having trouble with our present parish priest & getting more frustrated. We've never had issues with our previous priests but it's hard to be on the same page with the present one. Being charitable with this priest (as with the Pope) can be challenging for me but reading God's words to St Catherine, I am once again reminded that I must.
Jesus loved Judas & he was an apostle of the Lord yet he says it would have been better for him never to have been born. 'Woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born'. Matthew 26v24 Woe to those shepherds who betray the flock of Christ.
I w I was having coffee with a person who had recently returned from Medjugorje. In the course of the conversation I was reading something from a paper they had given me, I glanced up at them and for a couple of seconds could see a pair of snake eyes full of extreme hate looking back at me. As I watched, the eyes rolled in the person's head and then returned to normal. It reminded me of the one armed bandits in the casinos.
We should judge ones actions with kindness and love and not their soul since we cannot know possibly what is in their heart. That is for God alone. Yes, I agree critiquing ones actions to help them stay on the path is commendable, but there is a fine line that we cannot cross where our own pride can pull us into sin. God Bless
