Very good article, thanks for the link. It really touched on all of the concerns that constantly run through my mind. I believe that there are many Catholics who are no longer comfortable in their own parish.

One aspect that Joe Heschmeyer clarifies in the above is that Protestant "worship" is generally restricted to prayer and Scripture, which mirrors the synagogue at the time of Christ. Catholic worship (the Holy Mass in the Liturgy of the Eucharist), mirrors the Jewish worship in the Temple. The Liturgy of the Word coupled with the Liturgy of the Eucharist fulfills the threefold need of prayer, Scripture and Sacrifice, plus Communion!
