People constantly pressured her to narrow down her statement so they could predict the month of the Warning, thats why after 20 years she expanded her answer , so they couldnt pin her down ! . As MORE proof of my position, , I was good friends with Author Tom Fahy. Tom was friends with her Pastor who relayed a rarely known statement, in which she indicated to her Pastor its the same year (by the number of weeks it was ) before the Miracle. Tom send me this email: Dear Glenn, In the late 1980´s or early 1990´s, two Priests, whom I knew personally at that time, visited Mari Loli in Massachusetts. On their return one of the Priests told me that Mari Loli disclosed to them, when they were leaving, that the Warning would be in an even-numbered year. Several years later I asked the same Priest if Mari Loli said even numbered year. He said, "Yes". I have also read about or heard the same from other sources, which I do not recall now. In another situation, I was told by a man in Massachussets, who knows the Pastor of the Church that Mari Loli attended, that Mari Loli was speaking to her Pastor in Massachusetts one day, after he came to know about her relation with Garabandal, and told him that she could not remember whether the Blessed Virgin told her that it was 3 weeks or 3 months that the Warning would precede the Miracle. That would confirm that the Warning and Miracle are in the same year, as she said in her July 27, 1975 publicized interview. I take the same year to be the same calendar year. Yes to clarify, even if the Warning preceded the Miracle by 3 months it would be the same calendar year Bec we know the Miracle is in April (on a Thurs-8-16th) Which would make the Warning in same calendar year of whatever even year.
I humbly concur. But I would add I'm more concerned about the state of my soul and my growth in Christian maturity. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us!
Just to be clear. My motivation in clarifying this issue doesn't relate to me trying to pin down the exact dates at all. I am more concerned about prematurely closing off the possibility that things might happen differently from what Mr. Fahy said. I am trying to approach the matter with an open mind. It seems to me that the safer course is to say that we don't have absolute certainty about the timing because Mari Loli has stated the opposite of what you are saying. I do understand your explanation for her statement, and I consider that a possibility as well. I appreciate your advocacy for Garabandal. And I hope that you and Mr. Fahy are correct.

The “WARNING” itself will not cause people to die. Many people have written to me on this topic. I want people who are panicking to realize two things. First, you know the Warning is coming ! So it won’t be an unexpected shock.( like it will be to great number of people). Secondly, those who will suffer the greatest pain (and possibly death) are those who are maybe Atheist, or those who have spent their lives railing against God, and denying him at every opportunity, they are the ones who are in the greatest danger. I think people ask this question because the Warning will come out of the blue. One may be driving a car, or swimming in a pool, or any other number of things that require your attention. So, as the thinking goes, if you are doing one of these things and the warning comes, what happens? Does the person driving the car have time to pull off the road, then experience the warning? My personal belief is that the warning will occur as some dreams seem to, where one perceives minutes or hours have passed, but in reality only seconds have passed. In my opinion, the warning will essentially occur outside of time; you will experience the warning in what amounts to a fraction of a second in Earth time, a blink of an eye.

Spot on... All this back and forth about dates, who is the young martyr, etc...in the big-scheme-of-things is a huge waste of time. Our time is better spent praying, doing penance, and leading good lives while simultaneously gathering all the graces that our Lord bestows on us. Anything that distracts us from this goal is only a road-block on our journey to our everlasting glory with Him... It is Lenten season and the deceitful one is very cunning at throwing road-blocks in our way...
MODESTY By Barry Hanratty. Reprinted with kind permission from GARABANDAL JOURNAL July- August 2003 In her lessons at Garabandal, the Blessed Virgin impressed upon the girls the importance of modesty. She did this in a number of ways by requiring: 1) a proper code of dress; 2) proper comportment (The manner in which one behaves or conducts oneself ) 3) that they not wear jewelry or cosmetics (inappropriate for young girls) especially when they were going to see her. APRIL 2, 2005 SAINT POPE JOHN PAUL II PASSED AWAY Interestingly enough, Saint Pope John Paul II, a great believer in the apparitions of San Sebastian of Garabandal, is entombed under the alter of the Chapel of St Sebastian, at St. Peter's Basilica. The chapel contains the altar of St. Sebastian, an early Christian martyr from the Late Roman Empire. Under the altar are the remains of Pope St John Paul II, which were moved to the chapel in 2011. John Paul was the second longest serving pope, from 16 October 1978 until 2 April 2005. He was beatified 1 May 2011 and canonized 27 April 2014. Mary & The Brown Scapular When Mary appeared in Garabandal as Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, wearing the Brown Scapular over her arm, she instantly sent a message of its importance. It also connected the wearing of the Brown Scapular to the devotions Mary talked about (the rosary, the Morning Offering prayer ) and to the Garabandal messages. Padre Pio's visit to Garabandal by bilocation! Conchita had written to Padre Pio requesting his advice on various subjects that concerned her, and before the letter had time to reach San Giovanni Rotondo, a group of Padre Pio's spiritual children composed of five Italians, one Frenchman, one Canadian, one Filipino and a Belgian priest, visit her in Garabandal, announcing to her the visit of Padre Pio to respond directly to her questions. Then, on October 10, 1967, through a phenomenon of bilocation (the capacity of one person to be present in two places at the same time), Padre Pio's visit to Conchita took place at her house, where he was about an hour . She can see his figure, unmistakable habit, hear his voice, kiss his hands and notice the penetrating and characteristic perfume that comes out of his wounds. During his visit, he said among other things that he had been in Garabandal four times and, as proof of the authenticity of his presence, he writes in a letter in Aramaic the phrase "in union of prayers" and signed P Pio. PADRE PIO, THE ROSARY, & CONCHITA Padre Paladino (one of the Friars at San Giovanni Rotondo) reported that he asked Padre Pio how many rosaries he said each day. The answer was: "About 30, a few more, never less. "How do you manage it?" "What else is there to do during the night?" On another occasion Padre Pio admitted that he managed to do three things at the same time: "Pray, hear confessions and wander about the world." Padre Lasenzaniro, another one of the Friars, said that when he was helping Padre Pio to wash his hands in the morning, he could do only one hand at a time as Padre Pio would not put down his rosary. Padre Parente asked him why he said so many rosaries and not other prayers. Padre Pio told him that Our Lady had never refused a grace requested by means of the rosary. Upon his death, Padre Pio left Conchita one of his gloves, a veil from his wake, and his rosary. Of all the people in the world, he chose her to give it to, and believed in her, that speaks volumes to me. !
