Hopefully God will be as sure he is a saint as you appear to be. I am curious though , what on Earth has he done that causes you to believe such a really incredible thing?
Yes, the poor oppressed “immigrants” in the USA and the west *eyeroll* Everything always links back to the material with this mindset.
A lot of people are still in the process of waking up it seems. They don't understand that this is a collective scheme to bring in cheap replacement labor under the guise of charity. As well as bringing in guaranteed votes. It's ok though, they will eventually see it.
He was 65 and passed away. EWTN said that the cause was unknown at the time. Blizzard said that someone in some comments mentioned suicide. I doubt the veracity of that.
I find it hard to believe too. But there’s this post on X. https://x.com/ProtecttheFaith/status/1752259127319949341 Gloria TV also. https://gloria.tv/post/8F7fUTkt1mt3CDw3g4Hm8pedU
My first thought when you posted this is that Father Elias was "suicided" by others. Truly a sad affair. Prayers of Mercy.
Found the source https://stjan.org/nl/item/3727-overlijden-br-elias.html Looks like it is true, I thought someone was messing around in the comments trying to play people. Never thought someone so evidently touched could do this. Lesson learned.
I think your first theory might be correct. Something doesn't add up here. At any rate I will pray for him tonight.
I must also say that Pope Francis has been very brave in condemning pedophilia within the Church. For example, Saint Pope John Paul II, whom I greatly admire, was wrong on this issue. In his time, it was covered up and there was also silence. On the other hand, Pope Francis has been forceful in his condemnation of pedophilia within the Church. That's another point in his favor.
Even the mainstream legacy media are starting to tell the truth: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/04/13/how-sweden-multi-cultural-dream-went-fatally-wrong/ How Sweden’s multicultural dream went fatally wrong Child soldiers, gang violence and murders for hire blight the once-famously peaceful country, journalist Diamant Salihu tells The Telegraph Rioters burning branches to block a road in Norrkoping in Sweden in April 2022 Credit: Shutterstock/Stefan Jerrevang To show me just how bad gang crime has become in Sweden, all journalist Diamant Salihu has to do is forward a few mobile phone messages. At first glance, they look like spam, written in garish fonts and promising large sums of money, there to be earned. It’s only on closer examination that the purpose of the pistol and skull emojis becomes clear. These are so-called “murder ads” – posted online by gang leaders, offering bounties to anyone willing to carry out the hits. “All types of jobs are available,” reads one, promising up to one million krona (£78,000). “Age doesn’t matter”, adds another – explaining why many of Sweden’s new contract killers aren’t hardened hitmen, but children. Part of the problem, some say, is that Swedish law dictates anyone aged under 15 is too young to be prosecuted. “We have so many child soldiers that nobody can count anymore,” sighs Salihu, an investigative reporter for SVT, Sweden’s answer to the BBC. “There are kids as young as 13 being arrested.” Barely a week passes in Sweden today without a teenager being arrested for such a hit, keeping Salihu extremely busy, and the public in the grip of a national crisis like no other before it. A softly-spoken former tabloid journalist, the 41-year-old could be a character from a Scandi-noir novel, shining light in society’s darker corners. The body count on his beat, though, is far higher than any Stieg Larsson novel, and holds out little prospect of a satisfactory ending.
If some malcontent, or other enemy, wished to assassinate the good priest's character, I can think of no better way than accusing him of the sin of despair.
There seems to be a lot of haste to jump to conclusions. There is so much pessimism out there that people can't be blamed for assuming the worst, but his order says that the investigation is not yet complete, so such grave assertions should not be made public, yet.
Yes, there are many reports of his condemning paedophilia, but that's a very low bar. How could he not? He took a while, remember that fiasco in Chile? 'Paedophilia' is not an accurate term, as the vast majority of clerical abuse victims have been male. Has he made this distinction? Surely, he ought to have called out the role that the disorder of homosexuality, that is very prevalent in the priesthood, has played in the history of child abuse, rather than bringing out an ambiguous document for the blessing of homosexual couples?
In fact his order acknowledges that this is indeed what happened. Which may or may not correspond to the truth. Here’s an English translation of the message posted by his order. Pax Prima posted the link above. Following the unexpected and sudden death of Father Elias and the questions raised by this, the Brothers of Sint Jan, together with the family, wish to communicate the following after the necessary investigation: There is no denying that Brother Elias himself has decided to leave life. Like many, the brothers also have many questions about the reason for this act. However, we now want to respect the time of mourning and processing and accept that we do not have all the answers to our questions, no matter how difficult that is. The brothers connect with everyone who has been particularly affected by this tragedy. They entrust Father Elias to God's mercy and recommend him in your prayers. “God is greater than our heart, and He knows everything” (1 John, 3:20).”
