Being an American, and a Green Bay Packer fan, I am breaking my own rule today ( only posting the apparitions of Garabandal ) . October 8 - is the 154th Anniversary of the Apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title of Our Lady of Good Help / Queen of Heaven to visionary, Adele Brise in Robinsonville (now Champion), Wisconsin on October 8, 1859. On 8 December 2010, Bishop David L. Ricken of the Diocese of Green Bay, WI. declared the authenticity / supernatural character of the Apparitions of Our Lady of Good Help to Adele Brise in the year 1859. It thus, became the very first officially Church-approved Marian apparition in the USA ! http://www.shrineofourladyofgoodhelp.com/ View attachment 1374
Heidi , you should like me because I've sent a lot of players your way... Favre, Jennings, Longwell , Sharper, Bishop, Paup, etc.,lol.
Glenn...have you been? I have been there a few times. Very nice and peaceful place, not far from the Stadium, on the way up the peninsula toward Door County. View attachment 1377 There have been many miracles there over the years. Behind one of the statues in the shrine building are a bunch of canes and crutches that have been "left" by pilgrims over the years...I have a photo of it somewhere - Ah, here it is: View attachment 1378
I'm heading out this winter for a game & to see the shrine. I'm alittle weird, I love Lambeau in the dead of winter, and cold weather. I once went to a game there in January 1997, it was MINUS 23 degrees ! I'm the only NYer who wants a winter home in Green Bay,lol.
Oh, and don't forget our Blessed Mother is a Packers fan, because the same year that Our Lady of Good Help was officially recognized by the Church as the first US apparition site, the Green Bay Packers won another Super Bowl Championship!!! Not a coincidence. Apparition site is only 15 minutes from Packers stadium!
Haha, yes Glenn, you have sent a lot of good players our way! That season with Favre was a lot of fun. Fatima, if Our Lady is really a Packers fan, I might have to change my mind about them!
Heidi, think about this.....All these amazing things start with the letter " G " . GOD, GARABANDAL,GLENN, & GREEN BAY ! ( Coincidence ? I think not,lol ).
One of my daughter's plays college basketball against the University of Green Bay on Saturday December 7 and the Packers play against Atlanta Sunday night. Now if Glenn with all his connections could land me 4 tickets for that game, it would make a great weekend for my 3 younger boys and myself. I trust Our Lady of Good Help and Glenn can make things happen.
I can help with Hotels in the area too. I would book that early as possible, they fill up fast ! ( if you want more info, contact me privately )
Glenn, my daughter Grace would agree on things that start with G! I do have Aaron Rodgers on my fantasy football team!
