Hi, I got an email from someone and I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this (I think this may be affecting folks in the USA): Hello Padraig, I hope you are well. So sorry to bother you but I have a message saying ‘content not viewable in your region’ in a big purple box appearing on the website partially blocking most of my access to the forum. I’ve tried different devices. Has something happened to the website? I check in every day, so feeling lost.
Thank God. I always know the forum might be closed down at some time by the evil powers that be. You never know the minute.
Perhaps the person has changed some settings on their device? I'm in an online group, but can only gain access on my laptop. I used to be able to log in with my phone but it now gives a message similar to your USA poster.
I also use my phone and have no issues. I will try my pc later and let you know if I have any problems.
@padraig @BrianK @Glenn The issue is the image we use of our blessed mother is attached to the site using a third party, new laws have been passed in certain countries prohibiting images that are not verified, I am trying to find a work around for this at the minute.. I think its only affecting mobile devices for now as using a windows device seems to be fine..if you are having issues with the message Content not viewable in your region message please scroll to the bottom of the page select cool font then select winter this changes the style of the forum without any images. you wont see the content not viewable message being displayed.
Thanks. I think some states have new laws about transmitting porno images. So in an abundance of caution some internet providers are restricting viewing images. So it is to do with themselves and the new laws rather than this site.
No problems from Ct., but I looked at the bottom and I have Cool Front so as John said that seems to be the solution.
From the server hosting the image, hotlinking can be restricted, as it consumes resources and any other image can also be displayed.
