OCTOBER 15, 1961 (Continuation of Fr. Andreu’s fractured foot healing, from yesterday). It was getting light on the morning of that day when several French people arrived, and behind them, one of the two doctors asking for the Father. It was about 8 o'clock. Father told the doctor that all his pains were gone, and that he was able to move his foot without difficulty. The doctor was surprised; but as a precaution, he counseled him not to step on the foot, and to wait for the coming of the ambulance that they had been able to summon from Casa Valdecilla in Santander. The injury had been serious and normally would take from fifteen to twenty days to get better. The Casa de Salud Valdecilla was the biggest hospital in Santander. We have the following information about this from Father Andreu. The doctor found the Father sitting on the edge of the bed. — What are you doing Father? — As you see, I am trying to get up . . . — Don't do that! That's foolish. Let's see your ankle . . . The doctor got down on one knee to examine the ankle better. Then raising his head toward the Father, looking at him in a peculiar way, he said: — What a comedian you are! Come on, show me the bad ankle. The priest with apparent indifference showed him the other ankle, which was the good one. The doctor examined it very carefully . . . He compared it with the other . . . and ended up raising his head again toward the Father, while he said with an expression hard to describe, What strange things happen in this village! Continuing now with Mr. Förschler's description: «When the doctors left, Father began to put his shoes on, since he felt no pain . . . He went to stand on his foot, and did it without difficulty. Then he decided to celebrate Mass in the village, declining to advise Father Valentín to come to the village, as we had agreed to do. He ordered the bells to be rung for the Mass, and we set off to search for a cane. I accompanied him myself to the church. And when he was beginning the celebration — as I did not understand anything about the Mass — I found a place near the last pew and determined to carefully watch from there how he walked on his foot. During the entire ceremony he moved and knelt down, and got up without difficulty. After the Mass, I told him my observations, and he made various movements and bendings of his foot in front of me without the least trouble; and finally confided to me what had happened. The thing that Jacinta had told him in ecstasy at 3:30 in the morning had been this: Father, the Virgin told me that you were ill; but she told me to tell you that you are cured. OCTOBER 16, 1968: PADRE PIO, LOURDES AND CONCHITA: NEW EXCEPTIONAL "CONFIRMATIONS" OF THE AUTHENTICITY OF GARABANDAL When Blessed Padre Pio died, on September 23, 1968, Conchita was very perplexed. The Blessed Virgin's prophecy, predicting that he would see the Miracle, had apparently not been fulfilled . . . But, on October 16 of the same year, the visionary received a telegram from Lourdes. It was sent by a lady friend of hers, urging her to go to the world-famous Sanctuary, to receive a letter written by Blessed Padre Pio (written, by the way, just . . . one day before the Blessed Capuchin "confirmed," once more, the supernatural authenticity of Garabandal to a French author in spiritual matters, whom we know very well ( Jacques Serre). Convent of the Capuchins, August 22, 1968, For Conchita - Padre Pio has said: "I pray the most Blessed Virgin to comfort her and to guide her towards sanctity. I bless her with all my heart." Fr. Pellegrino This note dictated by Padre Pio the very day, at the time of the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, to Fr. Pellegrino, then Superior of the Monastery of San Giovanni Rotondo, was brought to Conchita by one of the famous Capuchin's messengers and friends, the Franciscan Fr. Bernardino Cennamo, who himself had been in San Sebastian de Garabandal on June 18, 1965, and had witnessed the spectacular ecstasy of that famous day, but still doubting about its divine origin . . . until the famous Capuchin of Pietrelcina asked him to offer Conchita the little veil that was to be used to cover his face soon after his death -- a most exceptional 'relic' that the visionary inherited at Lourdes. She also learned from Fr. Bernardino that Padre Pio had clearly "seen the Miracle" shortly before dying (on August 22, 1968): "He told me so himself," the Franciscan insisted. A few days later, Conchita wrote to Joey Lomangino and mentioned the altogether important recent "event." She would later write a complete account of this for Elisa, a friend of Barcelona. ( Fr. A. Combe, a French priest, who had accompanied Conchita and her mother to Lourdes, also would provide us with a full account of that most remarkable, providential trip). Furthermore, all the irrefutable facts occurred before and after the famous Note of Msgr. Cirarda, October 9, 1968! As to Fr. B. October 17th, 1961: Testimony by the Brigadier Leader of the Civil Guard in Garabandal, Mr. Juan Alvarez Seco “I went up that day with 14 pairs of guards to maintain order, as it was the day before the 18th. Conchita came up to me in ecstasy and gave me the Cross to kiss, which for me was a sign of hope that everything was going to turn out well, despite the huge number of people that came to Garabandal and despite the heavy rain that hadn’t stopped all day. There wasn’t even the slightest problem. I calculated that there were about 12 thousand to 15 thousand people in Garabandal that day. October 19, 1982 Warning Interview with Mary Loli. Q. Do you remember what the Blessed Mother said about the communist tribulation that is to precede the Warning? A. It would look like the communists would have taken over the whole world and it would be very hard to practice the religion, for priests to say Mass or for people to open the doors of the churches. Q. Is that what you meant when you said that it would seem as though the Church had disappeared? A. Yes. Q. It would be because of the persecution and not because the people would stop practicing their religion? A. Yes, but I guess a lot of people will stop. I continue to find it difficult to believe in the validity of Garabandal. Apparently, Mari-Loli implied in 1982 that she knows the year of the warning, and that it is "soon". Here we are 43 years later and nothing happened. Would you say an event envisaged to occur in the year 2068 is "soon"? 2068 is in 43 years.
Why am I here? I am Catholic, and I have been a member of this forum for some years. Your tone corroborates my scepticism regarding Garabandal. Perhaps you should ask yourself the question that you asked me.
The simplicity of the young girls during the days of the apparitions, the certainty of Padre Pio, the enduring faithfulness of the Catholics in Garabandal for over 500 years, and the current maturity of Conchita, all play a part in the confidence I have in Garabandal. I received a marvelous healing during my young family's pilgrimage to Medjugorje in 1987, yet I calmly await the Warning, not for the sake of my faith, but for the many millions who will turn to Christ as a result. How marvelous is His love and as the quiet simplicity of Bethlehem was exalted, so shall that of Garabandal. How magnificent is the love of God by which He blesses us through the appearances of our Mother! I love you, Dear Lady! Besides, if Conchita is willing to allow herself to have her picture taken while standing next to a guy who is a Yankee fan, she must be authentic!
I've been promoting the validity of Garabandal for over 30 years ! Helping people to understand ALL the facts of Garabandal, answering all their questions. So putting up with "nay-sayers" is all part of the deal of being here for me, (or sometimes they're just "Trolls" looking to disrupt the page. ) I don't know how anyone who really has studied Garabandal can ignore the HUNDREDS OF RECORDED DAILY MIRACLES ,THE COUNTLESS HEALINGS, the countless thousands of eye witness testimonies of its validity, backing of including 5 SAINTS, Conchita whos two closest supporters and friends were St. Pio & St. Mother Teresa, can come here and say "I dont believe." My tone is not your problem, its your lack of acknowledging the FACTS, and your lack of faith in our Blessed Mother and her promises. Don't bother to respond, I dont have the time or space to waist for more insults.

Michael Pio, I agree that the article quoting Mari Loli raises the question as to why she said the Warning would be soon. However I think we need to look at the totality of the evidence, which is plentiful and overwhelmingly positive, and not just one questionable point. May Our Lady grant you peace and an increase of faith and trust. The future is where it’s always been—in God’s hands.

I continue to be sceptical about Medjugorje and Garabandal, whilst I believe in the validity of Fatima, Akita, Lourdes, Quito, La Salette, etc. Sometimes I may not fully agree with your position, but I appreciate your measured and considered way of writing, always, not just in this instance. And I admire you for your work as a hospital chaplain and the stance you took during the 'vaccination'-campaign. All is good and easy and relaxed here on my part, no problems. God is good. Time will tell which apparitions are true and which ones are not. We cannot be far from knowing, as most obviously we are living in some kind of end times. God bless all here!
OCTOBER THE MONTH OF THE ROSARY, it reminded me that once the girls learned how to do the Rosary, they said it at most all of Mary’s visits! Mary stressed to them to say it slowly, and think about the mysteries. And in case you didn’t know, Mary has promised 15 wonderful blessings to those who regularly say a rosary ! Here they are: 1. Those who faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary shall receive signal graces. 2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary. 3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell. It will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies. 4. The recitation of the Rosary will cause virtue and good works to flourish. It will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God. It will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means. 5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary shall not perish. 6. Those who recite my Rosary devoutly, applying themselves to the consideration of its sacred mysteries, shall never be conquered by misfortune. In His justice, God will not chastise them; nor shall they perish by an unprovided death, i.e., be unprepared for heaven. Sinners shall convert. The just shall persevere in grace and become worthy of eternal life. 7. Those who have a true devotion to the Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church. 8. Not that Glenn needs my assistance but this is my 2 cents: This part or page of MOG is for questions and believers in Garabandal. Just like a fan page of someone else or something else, if you come here/there to attack, spread negativity, say you don’t believe or doubt belief, it will be met with some strong rebuttal. Bec this is NOT the forum page to say “you don’t believe or doubt belief.” There are other forums here to do so. Glenn NEVER called Mr. Pio a “troll.” But advised as part of his 30 plus years promoting Garabandal, despite posting Fact after Fact after Fact, Posting there are many famous believers in Garabandal like St Padre Pio & St Mother Teresa, there will be “trolls” that come here to ignore all of the facts or not know the facts and still purposely come here to disagree. But again, Mr. Pio was not called that. It just happens as part “of the territory.” The addressing of negativity part was all encompassing of what Glenn has experienced in doing the work of Our Blessed Mother-again-for 30 plus years. So in this case, if one chooses to NOT believe or doubt belief despite all the facts presented and believers aforementioned, where NO one can know better then them and more, as well as what Glenn is-as shown under his name-“Garabandal Expert,” either learn/read the facts. Then if still negative, kindly take the negativity to other forums on MOG that do that. Peace.
Garabandal is completely true, but there's a lot of misinformation and hoaxes. There's a section of the "Orthodox" or Old Ordo Church trying to appropriate the prophecy and adding nonexistent messages. For example: The Pope will travel to Fatima, the Holy Land, and Garabandal. It's been said on www.virgendegarabandal.com since 2001. Russia isn't mentioned at all!
