I read another saying concerning the Devil during the week, 'The devil has no knees.' In other words he has no humility, pride means he has no knees. This reminds me of all that is happening in Rome. These people have no knees. I am reminded that Papa Frankie was none to fond of kneeling.
Once, I was talking to someone I thot was Pope Francis in a forum. I came to that conclusion based on his answers. There were a lot of young people, and dozens of avatars showed up, pressing. Also a couple of demon-possessed people with multiple personalities. At that time, I wasn’t practicing my religion, and my life was a complete mess. The Pope continually quoted Saint Matthew. The attack against the Pope was so intense that something inside me ignited against that injustice, and I tried to defend him in every way. One by one, they came out of the closet, and everyone who was attacking him was gay. Today the Pope is buried. Dead people deserve respect.
Dead people more than anything else deserve the truth and out prayers. I cannot imagine anything worse than defending great evil and call it good. Do you imagine all the Cardinals , Bishops , priests professors of Theology and Philosophy and the countless lay folk who warned of his evil were sodomites and wicked? I can think of few things more deluded and wicked than to defend this great evil and to portray it as good. May God forgive you and lead you to the truth. I can think of few things worse than defaming those good Clergy and the courageous men and women who spoke out against this great evil with your most abominable slanders.
Padraig, I wish you the same as you wish me. God forbid that I should judge the saints or the sinners.
Yes. They deserve respect and our prayers. Those attackers are so formed by their " identity" that perceive any contradiction as personal attack. It's immensely sad.
I wish I had the supernatural ability to diagnose folks who are sodomites, demon possessed people with multiple personalities over the internet, it would make moderating the forum so much easier. So many of them too! All attacking Papa Frankie like the gates of hell had opened ! Wow! Lucky you have this mystical ability to see right through them! Amazing! What am I missing?
In eternity, Pope Francis' personal judgment before the Throne of God has been completed. Since I dwell in time, I continue to pray and can offer Holy Masses on his behalf. Since Christ is Supreme Judge, He can apply my little prayers with wisdom and Love as He sees fit. I will always recall the earnest prayers that Therese offered as a young child, for a murderer about to be executed. At the last minute, he grasped the crucifix held out to him by a priest and kissed it. Let us always pray earnestly. Yes, by their works you shall know them, but what we don't know are the last minute choices made by any individual just prior to their death. Yes, the vision of hell experienced by the Fatima children teaches us that many souls are lost; the best we can do is to humbly pray for those who are about to or who have already tasted death, knowing our day of destiny also approaches. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have Mercy on me a sinner, and on those who shall come before you this day!!
Indeed, that is the only Christian attitude. May he rest in peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him.
Thank you Terry. A beautiful reminder of our duty and our privilege to pray for souls who have died --seemingly beyond God's mercy or not---trusting that God's mercy exists outside of time and space. I earnestly pray every day for those who are dying and are in danger of losing their souls. And for those who have died.
I believe I am seeing two different arguments happening here. One is that the Pope can never be criticized. People shouldn't criticize the Pope once he has passed. I believe the first has been addressed already. It is perfectly just to criticize the Pope's actions when certain criteria have been met for the sake of justice. This doesn't change once he has passed on either. There is an implicit accusation, that criticism of the Pope is always detraction on the part of those doing the criticism, which is simply not true or just. This has been proven earlier in this thread repeatedly. There are many valid reasons for the criticism we are seeing today regarding Pope Franics and Pope Leo XIV, which are just. Being critical of Pope Francis and Pope Leo XIV isn't mutually exclusive to having a clean heart and praying for them, alive or deceased. I find this is being implied and it is unjust. However criticism should meet the criteria given by the Catholic church. I also find the false implication that any criticism of Pope Francis or Pope Leo XIV as being detractive is a form of group censorship. Popes aren't above justice.
We can all be criticized, and we all run the risk of having our honor damaged. There are some very good examples in the Bible, such as the Pharisees attacking the Lord. God protects our honor from slander and continuous accusations. And then we ask ourselves: can we criticize someone based on a punishable and demonstrable fact? The answer is yes. We can not only criticize a punishable act, but we can also report it to the authorities. In the case of the Pope, the criticisms currently come from a faction within the Church, but the Pope acted in accordance with canon law and also when he had to do so ex cathedra. So we can discuss the reasons why attacking his reputation and even going so far as to say he was the Antichrist is simply defamation that persists long after his death.
