I disregard most of what he says because I too find him troublesome.

What can we do but pray?

At least I admire and am very grateful to Pope Leo for speaking out so strongly against the way in the Middle East. Bless him for this it is wonderful . Blessed be the Peace Maker , he will be called a child of God.

I read a story that he got a phone call from Israel actually threatening to kill him if he did not shut up. I have no idea if this is true but it would not surprise me. These people are capable of anything.

Anyway prayers for the Pope's safety.

It's not good, but who is Taylor Marshall to say that he has not repented of this? Having said that, great credit is due to all who have worked to bring this to light and to those, like Marshall who are prepared to comment on it. But, I'm a little disturbed at the many comments I see about this from sedevacantists and people who regard the Novus Ordo as a heresy. There are many who regard Vatican II as a heresy in itself, commenting on this issue. I think most here agree that, for all their faults, Popes JPII and Benedict did their best to interpret VII in the correct way as based entirely on what went before it, 'the hermeneutics of continuity', but these people reject even them as popes.

Do we know for certain that he knew exactly what he was doing?

We certainly cannot say that he is still an idolator. Lots of saints were converted idolators.

We have to decide on who he is now. He's not very inspiring at present, to say the least, but he hasn't presented himself as a Pachamama worshipper as Pope, unlike his predecessor.

Still, one thing is sure. Ecumenism is a false road and must be abandoned. The only true way is for all to join the Catholic Church.

Of course, now that it has become public, Pope Leo XIV will have to explain himself and demonstrate that it was, at best, 'a mistake'. Silence is commonly regarded as consent. This is certainly a scandal for any priest.

We cannot judge the heart , the understanding, or the intent on a photo from 1995. Almost every person has a photo in their past that they would not like to be presented to the public.
John Henry is a bit too fast on the trigger. Our Lady asks us to pray for the Holy Father.

It's best to know this happened. The important things now are how it is interpreted, which must be done in the charity you suggest, and how Pope Leo himself deals with it.

He should immediately fire that Chipana Quispe woman, a self-professed pacamamaist, from the Dicastery for Inter-Religious dialogue. Pachamamism isn't a religion, it's a human-sacrificing demonic cult. Are they going to engage in dialogue with the devil, next?

Here's more info-beware, these are sedevacantists:

My main concern withe Pope Leo and the Vatican at the moment would be Synodality which is a terrible vehicle of great evil. This rather than an old photo. This photo is at best a symptom of an illness rather than the illness itself.

Thank God I am much more at peace with goings on in the Vatican these days. Now that I do not believe that great, great evil is afoot there, I do. But I have a much better sense in how the Good God is asking me to respond to it all. With prayer and not to loose my Peace about it all. Not to burst a blood vessel.:)

There are , I am sure people who are called to speak out, especially Cardinals and Bishops and some specially chosen lay people. Bless them for this.

    But not me.

One thing is that if we notice something is wrong, say a pimple on our nose we might end up thinking about nothing but that pimple. We become obsessed by it. We can think of nothing else. There can be a danger of thinking of nothing but the goings on in the Vatican morning , noon and night.

However it is not just the one old photo that is a cause of concern here.

    Sigh.

There is an old saying thar misery loves company - its easy to go down a rabbit hole of constant negativity. And there is a ton of negative things we could complain about no doubts.

I have decided to pray for the Pope that has helped me.

And I said a rosary for bishop Barron yesterday whom I really like, I believe he is doing his best but has a few blind spots mostly I believe down to poor spiritual formation of the priesthood since Vatican II.

I need to root out the beam in my eye focus on my interior life so that my prayers are more efficacious.

Every two weeks, my Diocesan newspaper arrives in the mail. While it is also available online, I do enjoy "turning the pages". The internet is a different animal because a thousand voices are demanding one's attention at every moment. While global events will trickle down and may eventually impact our lives, most of what is online is noise which can rob us from hearing the small interior voice, whether that be our conscience, Our Lady, Our Lord, or the Holy Spirit. The only noise I hear with "The Catholic Sun" is when I turn the page.
