In Spain the Government is slashing taxes on power and fuels by 50% . It seems like a great idea and will save a fortune. Perhaps it is my imagination but I see far less cars driving about even out here in the sticks. I was kind of mulling over getting an electric bike to go to Mass every night. But perhaps this is a bit extreme?

One thing I notice about all this is how gentle this all is from a Spiritual stand point. It kind of gently shoos people onwards towards conversion. It give us all time but mounts the pressure.

I have not heard of petrol stations closing here but in Australia it seems to be horrific.

 

I wonder if this explains the Prophesy that, 'Rome will burn first?'.

Trump has walked into a Netanyahu trap. One way or another, the US Empire is gravely weakened. It is if he pulls out soon and ‘declares victory’, it will probably be even more so if he continues into a Vietnamese-style quagmire and drags the whole world into unthinkable economic collapse, and still fails to ‘win’.

Let us hope he opts for the former, even if it’s only to protect the investments of the rich.

Iran will have to defend itself against these madmen. Israel and the Gulf States, including Saudi Arabia, are far more highly dependent on desalinisation than Iran. Desalinisation plants would be sitting ducks. Lack of water would present a far greater, more acute problem than radioactive fall-out. It would be interesting to know where the prevailing winds are blowing. A lot of countries will not be happy at the prospect of being on the receiving end of this.

Frankly, I don’t believe they would use their nuclear arsenals against the West, because in the event of a new diaspora, any groups scattered across the world and gathered in isolated, local settings would end up becoming vulnerable targets. However, the European Union’s integration policies across the continent could compel their protection and reception.

What I am seriously considering is the possibility of Trump pulling back completely, leaving Israel in a state of desperation and potentially launching a nuclear strike against Iran. 100% support is simply not true. There is a large contingent of former supporters who have actively turned against him. It could be a disaster for him in the Nov elections unless something changes quickly.

Well, if the Republican Party wants to avoid disastrous results in the November mid-terms they better pull back soon.

 

Even if the war stops now there will be serious economic repercussions.

Higher energy bills means many businesses that are now on tbe margins will fold leading to job losses. Less money in the pocket people cut back further. Farmers are under pressure already the high cost of energy. I can see food shortages this winter. Government debts are already spiralling out of control. Inflation will further erode spending power. It is like a perfect storm.

Three weeks ago I paid 280 pounds for 300 litres of domestic heating oil. Today it is 400 pounds.

There are no positives from this war only negatives.

 

I’ve heard there is very little support in the United States for this war but this is what Trump is reported as having said.

 

The inflation is going to cause raised interest rates, which will take money out of the pockets of those with debts, including governments.

Still, an early end to the war would be a great relief compared to the effects of a long one.

No matter what madcap scheme the Trump Gang concoct, Iran is able to maintain escalation dominance. The arrogant fools probably won’t believe it and will advance right into it.

Yemen have already humiliated the US Navy, so this is not an idle threat.
