It's really bad in Australia with petrol up to $3 per litre. The government is encouraging ppl to work from home, car pool, drive slower.

42 petrol (gas) stations have no petrol at all. 107 petrol stations have run out of diesel. Aussies are speculating online we'll go into another lockdown. An American guy on Instagram who has a whole channel on things like this thinks Australia will be the first Domino to fall for the rest of the world - another lockdown, or something to that effect.

Ugh, I feel like I live in communist China sometimes, with Hate Speech laws etc. Enduring the harshest lockdowns, I'm in Sydney, that was in Melbourne, but Sydney copped it, too.

I know the opinion of Fr Michel Rodrigue of most on here - but now I understand why he said to have 3 months supply of food, he said something like there will be food, but food shortages - now due to this war. Especially, in Australia it seems...

I'm preparing myself for a lockdown here tbh. I get an eerie feeling, too.

But, I read that NZ is getting $41 a week from their government to help with inflation. Michael Pio you should chime in from NZ, but I get you, I'm also trying to avoid the internet lol.

How are zouxi? Sorry if I got your screen name wrong. Praying for you & your family in Lebanon.

Aussies online are also speculating they'll lower the speed limit due to the petrol shortage. I wonder if they'll also start limiting how far we can travel.

During the first lockdown we could travel anywhere. The second lockdown they limited us to just 5km.

It feels so much like The Handmaid's Tale lived out irl. I read the book in high school, I should probably watch the series.

It feels sad in many ways but the news about the Middle East War fades into background noise just as the Ukraine War already did. Sad in some ways good in others. It means I do not fret or worry about things so much now. What can we do anyway but pray. I would guess I am not the only one. If we were to ask a million people how things are going in Ukraine I am sure only a handful could answer. It will soon be the same with Iran.

But praying for peace. I must remember to pray for poor Ukraine and Russia too.

This does not show Bishop Barron in a very good light when he throws a fellow Catholic under the zionist bus.

Look at the derogatory, dare I say, 'sexist' language he uses about a fellow Catholic to condemn her publicly - 'brow-beating', 'agressively asserting her view', 'hijacking' - how dare a woman stand up for what she believes in!

Mrs Prejean has a Catholic conscience about the genocide in Gaza. Good for her for 'speaking' up. Thrown under the bus.

I would hope Bishop Barron would speak to the Bishop's of the Holy land to hear the reality of the suffering of the poor people there.

Archbishop Sheen was correct when he said it would be the laity not the hierarchy that would save the Church.

I think the main goal may have always been the UN2030 agenda—that is, controlling people based on their consumption and production of CO₂.

Today there was an explosion at the largest refinery in Texas, which processes 800,000 barrels of oil. The U.S. and Israel are currently bombing Iran’s oil infrastructure, and Iran has said for years that it would attack all oil infrastructure across the Middle East if it were attacked. So far, it has been relatively restrained—until its own infrastructure was targeted. The U.S. and NATO, via Ukraine, have been attacking Russian oil infrastructure for years, and the Nord Stream pipeline to Europe has been destroyed. Oil will be over 180$ soon...

This will lead to inflation, food shortages, and of course reduced production, because without oil everything stops. Revolutions have always happened when hunger and social unrest arise.

The “new world order” cannot emerge under normal conditions, but rather through order out of chaos. In this way, people will be forced to accept such a system, which will limit how much energy we produce across different areas of life. Like the Chinese social credit system—the COVID measures were just a test run of restrictions, to see how many people would comply and how herd behavior works, where people, to protect their own comfort and job security, are willing to report and accuse others, even family members and friends.

My theory is that we are at the beginning of the creation of a global police state.

Plan B could be that, amid this chaos and a demilitarized Europe, the Russians push further in Europe…

Difficult times are ahead of us…

My sincere advice is to stock up on necessities and essential supplies—you can always use them later, from food to medications. There could very well be shortages of everything; not yet, but in 2–3 months it could get quite serious…

The kindest thing I can say is that the Bishop would have been better keeping quiet.

I have no idea what was going through his head to speak about this.

I agree with your post. I wonder if the prophecised Russian 'invasion' may in fact he a rescue mission to free Europe from the tyranny you describe?

Possible, and it’s also possible that something supernatural like a miracle or a warning will remove the grey veils.

The French Revolution, the communist revolutions… the rise of Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Napoleon Bonaparte, and Mao Zedong all came after major crises.

Such an absolutist and totalitarian system can only be overthrown by a greater force from outside—whether natural, like their unrealistic ambitions of conquest, or supernatural, as was the case in Portugal, when after the apparitions in Fátima, a form of left pre-communist totalitarian ideology quickly fell from power, and the pro-Catholic António de Oliveira Salazar came to rule for decades.

One thing I know about the Russians is that they are truly terrible in war. If they do invade Europe heaven help us all. They were savage when they invaded Europe at the end of the Second World War.

I'm not on X but I have done an internet search for any statement by Bishop Barron specifically condemning the genocide in Gaza. Can you point me to any equally strong statement he has made condemning the atrocities and crimes against humanity committed by the Israelis? Leaving a six year old child for days in a car with her dead relatives, waiting for the first responders to arrive before murdering all of them? Double-tap strikes where the second bombing is to kill the people coming to the aid of victims? IDF members filming themselves gang raping a young Palestinian lad who had been charged with no crime? Performing mock gay marriage in a Catholic church? Armed settlers pushing Palestinians (including Christians) off their land in the West Bank as the police look on? Anything other than "Israel has a right to defend itself"? Did he even mention anything about the Palestinians having a right to defend themselves against practices like "mowing the lawn"?

When he made his statement about the Iranian regime, did he equally condemn what his own government has done to that country? Sanctioning them to the point of near starvation? Preventing them from enriching any uranium and then forbidding them importing cancer medication made from enriched uranium? Sending Mossad and CIA agents to turn a peaceful demonstration into antifa-like protests? The Bishop had a whole lot to say about such violent protests in his own country but seems to approve of them in other countries. He's ok with protesters burning mosques in an Islamic country? Ok with protesters shooting police and burning ambulances in a foreign country? Why? Because the violence was incited by undercover US and Mossad agents?

Can you point me to anything at all from the Bishop to show that he isn't just another apologist for atrocities committed by the US and its greatest ally? Where is his condemnation of the US pulling out of the JCPOA treaty? His condemnation of the US aiding a nuclear armed Israel which has not signed any non-proliferation treaty (probably the US government once again violating its own law)? Meek little mention like "that doesn't mean Israel can't be criticised for using disproportionate means" doesn't count. Did he even bother to condemn Israel's seizure of the Golan Heights or its current invasion of Lebanon and its use of white phosphorous there?

Bishop Barron can't be unaware that under international Law, the Palestinian people have the right to defend themselves against an occupying power, even by force. Does he even care? I suppose he can send them some dollars to ease his American conscience. I can't for the life of me figure out how he reconciles his political position with his Catholic conscience.

Incidentally, this is what Bishop Barron denounced Carrie Prejean Boller for:
    https://www.youtube.com/shorts/XyF3F9dM1PA

It's Zionists (followers of a political cult founded by atheists) who insist that there is no distinction between Zionism and Judaism. Many Jews are adamant that there is a distinction and Catholics have no obligation to recognise the State of Israel's right to exist. The lady had a right, even a duty, to clarify what she was expected to condemn at a meeting about religious liberty. Shame on Bishop Barron.

Bishop Barron's version sounds completely different to the one I heard. Which was to the effect that Ms Boller asked that if a Catholic did not support the State of Israel, would they be considered antisemitic. She got her answer.

I await Bishop Barron's criticism of Hegseth's pastor who called for the banning of Eucharistic and Marian processions. That is the job of a Bishop.

Bishop Barron is using his ecclesiastical authority to push his own private politics. According to a document of the Second Vatican Council, even a pope is warned not to deploy his papal authority in prudential matters. Bishop Barron's political beliefs and opinions are no more important than mine. Like any citizen, he is entitled to express his political views, but not as a Bishop. And he needs to make that clear when he goes public.

They have been quite restrained in the Ukraine. Remember that the Germans had committed the most appalling atrocities against the Russian people, and they suffered more casualties than all the other combatants combined, predominantly civilians. This does not justify it, but makes it more understandable. I don't recall any stories of atrocities committed by the Russians when they chased Napolean to Paris, but I'm open to correction.

I think that most of the atrocities referred to in the prophecies are committed by the internal enemies, especially in Paris and other big cities with Mohammedan populations.

To get back on topic (I'm worse at going off at a tangent than anyone!), it is reliably reported that South Korea is negotiating with Iran for oil. I've heard that Japan have already done so. Trump is slowly breaking the entire global alliance that has stood since WWII. This trickle will quickly turn into a torrent as the pressure rises. The rest of the world isn't prepared to destroy itself for Israel, it looks like.

On Totus Tuus Fb page today:

"Just 20 days before his upcoming Apostolic Journey to four African nations, Pope Leo XIV received a delegation from Italy’s national airline ITA Airways and the Lufthansa Group in audience.

Thanking them for safely carrying him on his papal trips and creating a “family atmosphere” on board, the Holy Father delivered a powerful message: “Airplanes should always be carriers of peace, never of war! No one should be afraid that threats of death and destruction might come from the sky.”

He strongly lamented the continued use of aircraft for aerial bombings, saying: “After the tragic experiences of the twentieth century, aerial bombings should have been banned forever! Instead, they still exist… This is not progress; it is regression!”

Pope Leo XIV emphasized that papal flights are symbols of dialogue, encounter, and fraternity — routes of peace in the skies as he continues his mission as a messenger of the Gospel.

A beautiful reminder in today’s world: technology and travel should serve peace, not destruction."

I believe the evidence that the plan was, and still is, to plunge the world into chaos is mounting.
After all, every crisis has always turned out to be orchestrated.
The ‘refugee crisis’ turned Europe into an ethnic and cultural powder keg.
Corona was the first blow aimed at weakening economies, alongside population reduction and indoctrination into obedience.
The war in Ukraine is the next blow to weaken (especially European) economies.
(If I remember correctly, there have been regular explosions at facilities producing essential goods and rail routes, etc., in the US and elsewhere, till a while ago)
And during the war in Ukraine, it has become increasingly obvious in recent months how certain forces (deep state, Epsteinists, Freemasons, you name it) want to instigate an open war between ‘the West’ and and Russia (and China - ‘the others’ ).
For a short while, it appeared as though these forces were primarily continuing to control the EU; it is now clearer that Trump was merely putting on a show.

At the moment, I find it most plausible to assume that the main purpose of the war in Iran is also to create chaos and upheaval - order out of chaos (Great Reset).

It certainly makes sense to take a few precautions, for those who are able to. Praying and trusting is what matters most.
Personally, I am currently more convinced that the chaos will not lead directly to the reign of the Antichrist, but rather to the Warning, the Miracle and a time of peace.
Therefore – hard times are likely ahead, but let us pray that God keeps them as short as possible; we can look forward to the time that follows.
