It's so bizarre how so many are obsessed with degeneracy instead of peace. I am positive these people could be given everything and they still wouldn't be happy.

There was a time where we fought our passions, today we are enabling them. Passions are never satisfied.

I grow very weary of claims, counter-claims, accusations, and judgments! As laity and lowly clergy, what can we do beyond praying and fasting for our Pope, bishops, priests, nuns, and political leaders; without neglecting our own spiritual, family, and civic responsibilities!

It is time for me to pull back. Out of loving concern for MOG members, I'll remain connected to encourage and pray and enjoy uplifting threads, but other than that you won't find me posting elsewhere, unless the Lord wants to turn me into a John the Baptist!:barefoot::rolleyes:o_O(n):coffee:

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

Thank you for not leaving us, Mario. Please keep us in the loop of your family too, I really enjoy hearing about your priests sons and children.

I very much hope no one will come forth and publicize what my life was like before I repented .

While we should certainly be wary of Pope Leo, this statement raises more questions than it answers.

Firstly, if his wokeness is so critical why did these priests (whose names aren’t in the article quoted) only choose to come forward at a time when it undermines Pope Leo on a subject wholly unconnected with social issues and connected to US warmongering? Surely, they should have spoken up before now?

Secondly, Pope Leo was appointed a Bishop in 2015, so he could not have been criticising President Trump in the role of a priest, yet the article would seem to be about Leo as a priest. I certainly have never seen any public statements by Leo, criticising President Trump in his role as a bishop and what contact would these priests have with him, and his private statements, since he became a bishop?

Finally, if these priests know him so well and consider him unfit even for the priesthood, they need to come forward publicly. Perhaps, they have.

I think there is a faint foul odour, given the timing and the nature of those whom Pope Leo has chosen to criticise. This is only my opinion, of course.

News broke in recent days that Pope Leo XIV met with David M. Axelrod, former strategist for Barack Obama’s campaign. In light of this, it is regrettable to see the Church being divided into political factions, many of which stand in direct opposition to the Gospel. I would not be surprised if a verbal clash between the Vatican and the White House intensifies in November, as the figure of an American pope may appear to be the perfect leader to channel opposition to Donald Trump, under the banner of a national figure regarded as a moral authority. If there is a release of previously secret reports regarding the legitimacy of the current pope, I will consider it safer to remain on the fence.

    Excellent point.

I also am unimpressed with the fact that Pope Leo XIV recently called for better communion with Islam while not speaking directly to the serious problem of Christians being persecuted by Muslims worldwide. But particularly in Muslim lands and Nigeria.

  9. This is not coincidence. The Freemasons, Globalists and Zionists have been planning this for decades already: on how to take down the Catholic Church. I believe the Intelligence Agencies have lots of stored data on the corrupt and immoral priests which they had collected for decades. One day they will all be released in public to attack the people's faith on the Catholic Church. And by that time the few remaining and still believing faithful Catholics will be severely persecuted.

I think there is a real temptation in life if there is a problem with someone or someone and we strive to overcome or come to some kind of terms with it we eventually just give up. We just say whatever. We want everything to be normal so we normalise things and pretend the problem does not exist or is somehow resolved.

I think it is like this with many good Catholics with regard to Pope Leo. We want so earnestly for things to be fine with him that we pretend to ourselves that this is so and we gloss over all our concerns and so gain a measure of peace.

In other words we go into Denial. This is a great danger.

I think one needs to distinguish this event from the social issues. Just because Leo is wrong on sexual and social issues does not mean he is wrong on the issue of the war.

If these priests are genuine, they were highly irresponsible to have delayed revealing their knowledge until now. They should have said it from the very beginning or at least following the homosexual/transexual invasion of the Vatican. Why now, at a time when the Catholic Church is under multiple attack from heretic ‘Christian’ Zionists, even against Eucharistic and Marian processions and by a President who recently seems to have invoked Baphomet while portraying himself as Christ? I’m reading a book by Israel Shamir, a Jewish convert to Christianity, and he’s absolutely adamant that ‘the Jews’ (very deliberately his term) wish to absolutely suppress Christianity (Catholicism in the West), including by inhibiting the practice and outward show of it within society. A Pope with (at best) sympathies for perverts is very likely promoted by such antiChristian sources, but this does not mean that Trump’s attitude is not another attack on the Church from the same sources. I don’t consider myself in denial, but I’m very much backing Leo against this Zionist/Jewish/heretic Christian US administration.

Being a Peace Maker is fine. Although I do wonder if his rhetoric would have been the same if the President had been a Democrat, for instance talking about the President's hands been full of blood. His whole tone has been intensely combative and disrespectful.

But I also suspect that his opposition against the war , which is very popular, is being used to push a wider agenda.

Beware when the secular media defend and praise you.

\I don't think ,reading behind the lines that he even tries to hide his intense dislike of Trump ; Papa Frankie was the same. This is not good.

You are so right. This is not good. It’s adding fuel to the fire against Catholics. There are so many people who truly hate Catholics and this will make it worse. Exactly what Satan wants.

  16. I can't help but think automatically, why does the Pope say nothing of communist countries? Why are other religions being praised equal to or even above Catholicism? These are just common sense questions and yes we are permitted to ask questions. I am not looking for trouble with Pope Leo..
In WW2 the Pope was chastised and put down for not speaking out. Yet he had a network to help the jews, and he also did not want to cause any harm to Catholics by causing an uproar.
Things get worse daily it seems...prayers for all sides.

Very good point. Trump’s behaviour is appalling, but no more evil than when Biden was providing the ‘Israelis’ with 2000lb bombs to drop on Gazan civilians.

Might be advisable for us to give him the benefit of the doubt for now, but with that reservation to the forefront of our minds. As I type this, it strikes me that Pope Leo might be over-compensating for being an American and showing the world he is not going to be seen to be soft on a US leader. And the very public threats and language, not to mention the ‘God-complex’, from Trump are unprecedented.

    Deacon Terry (Mario),

Perhaps you'll find Fr. Mark’s tip (a practical way of discerning and doing God’s will) helpful for sharing with your co-parishioners in one of your homilies.

Other MOG members and guests may also find that it works for them as well.

Fr. Mark’s brief homily starting at around 9:40 time stamp:

I think the Pope could criticize Trump but avoid meeting with a former political advisor to Obama. Otherwise, it becomes tiring to keep having to rebut Protestants who claim that the Catholic Church has become an extension of the American Democratic Party.
