A friend, a convert from the High Church of England, is SO GLAD, she converted before we abandoned soul-lifting music for folk-music designed to bring the young into the Church. It SO FAILED. PS Hey, two local parishes [Australia, Coffs Harbour] are using Communion by intinction - 80% recieve Communion on the Tongue: couldent believe my eyes! .. I always thought priest's ornate, central throne was a BAD idea! ACTIONS SPEAK! Priests genuflecting to GOD!! One local priest is 4ft (2m50) high but raises the BL sacramet as high can IN PRAISE!. We Need To reclaim the Church - actions speak louder than words! Today we idolise celebrities! [Concerts draw thousands od adoring fans!] When THEY concert or witness, many take notice. Praying for our world's idols, false gods to many, is a valuable practice. In the monastery the nuns sing hymns both ancient and old. Some of the modern ones are lovely but honestly for the Liturgy you can't beat Gregorian. The Church herself in the Est has said this over and over again down the centuries that Gregorian is it . You can't do any better. But we have forgotten.
