The tube is out. Reese is sitting up and talking! He immediately asked for his dad and reached up to hug him. Dad said it was the best hug in his life (mom/wife died many years ago, in case you are wondering why she wasn't in the picture - God rest her soul). Yesterday medical staff was talking if he makes it or not. Now they're talking long term plans. A miracle.
Padraig, that is tragic. I wish they'd ban energy drinks here in the USA. My son drinks them. He knows they are bad for him and is trying to stop. This incident with Reese ought to do the trick.
I never knew there was anything wrong with them. We were all so innocent back then. There was a time when people thought cigarettes were actually good for you.
At that young of an age when someone's heart stops beating for nearly 20 minutes, illegal drugs is the medical staff's first thought. All of those tests came back clean. There doesn't appear to be any brain damage. He underwent a heart catheterization today. The doctor said everything looks perfect. They doctors are attributing the event to three factors: 1) His potassium was low 2) The heat - His crew was putting up interior walls in a new building and it was 105 F inside 3) The Red Bull Thank you for the prayers. His prognosis is really good. Please continue to pray for him.
Yes thank God. I woke up at 5am actually praying the rosary. I was praying the 2nd last of sorrowful mysteries, Carrying of Cross, for those I had promised to pray for. That's never happened to me before. Now I read this great news. God is so good and He hears our prayers.
That is amazing and shows much this world needs prayers. God is nudging to pray even in your sleep! Thank you for including my request and all of our requests in your rosary! Also, a big thank you to everyone in this forum who prayed for Reese. They thought he was going home yesterday, but doctors wanted to first fit him an implantable defibrillator. So he will possibly go home today.
It is frightening to read the effects if these drinks. Very grateful that Reese was saved. Im sure this will have a great impact in his life... a second chance is a rare gift. I pray for his continued improvement and that he hears God's wonderful plans for him!
