Can I ask for prayers for a person I know called Gabriel, a thirty something married parent of 4 who due to an accident has been paralyzed from the neck down for the last number of years. They were at a "healer" recently who said they would be healed in a few weeks time, and were given a specific date. They are basing all their hopes on this. Personally I think the healer should never have said this even if they thought they were 100% certain, but that's another story. Gabriel will be devastated if the healing does not occur. I'm praying for the grace for them to surrender to God's will, one day at a time. It's a really sad case and I would appreciate prayers for them, their spouse and family. Their 4 young children are growing up without an active parent in the home.
Oh I sure hope he is healed, but most importantly that he will find peace and trust in God's will. How very hard! Makes my troubles seem so small. I will be praying for Gabriel and his family.
Wow! Now that really is a huge, huge, huge, Cross and certainly something to pray for. I will keep praying everyday, it is certainly something to aim for. Please let us know. Padre Pio once prayed for a lady with a big family who was dying. He said she would get better on a certain date but she kept getting worse and worse so everyone , even her own family no longer believed. They even bought her coffin. But true enough when the day came round she was cured instantly. It just goes to show you never know.
Sending prayers for Gabriel and adding him to my daily list. I'll call St Padre Pio's shrine . Heartbreaking.
