I felt "close " to Jesus in the suffering earlier but it seems to have faded away. Hopefully the peace will come again. It's a battle at times but will keep praying.
God looks at your will. That's all that matters. He doesn't look at your feelings. So if you feel hopeless and far from God, but you WANT to be close to Him, then God has you close to Him. Your desire to be close to Him, together with God's grace, is enough.
I trust you go to Adoration regularly? Are you familiar with the St Michael Chaplet? It invokes all 9 Choirs of Angels through the Hail Mary & Our Father. Don't forget to include Fasting, offering that along with your prayers.

Have any of y'all used Blue Heart Travel to go to Medjugorje or any other pilgrimage? Or know anyone else who has? They're based in Croatia, I believe.
Both times I went to Medjugorje, I went with Magnificat Tours. Unfortunately, the owner passed away 5 years ago.
Shocking and heartbreaking. The statue of the Virgin Mary was desecrated and vandalized, and the main altar was set ablaze in the dead of night, around 4:00 a.m. The media report that the suspect is a foreign national, although I find it difficult to reconcile that with the message written on the side in Croatian. This happened just before Mladifest, when tens of thousands of young people are expected to gather there.
