These days I dream of living in the north lol. I'm jealous of all your fruit! My tomato plants are on the brink of death...I'm only barely keeping them alive with a shade cloth and tons of watering. They've got maybe 2 viable tomatoes on them right now, when in June they were loaded. I'm hoping if I can keep them alive, they'll start producing again in the Fall. The watermelons failed, but we're harvesting cantaloupe right now. Tons of okra. Cucumbers, leeks and eggplants have failed. We were getting tons of purple hull peas until the pests got them. None of our fruit trees produced this year because of the late freeze we had in the spring that ruined all their blooms. We are getting a few muscadines right now, which I'm super grateful for! I hope we actually get a cold winter this year. Your normal summers sound like our winters! The fruit trees don't know what to do anymore, with our warm winters we've had lately. They don't even go dormant until late January, and then it heats up again in February and then they come back to life and bloom and the March freeze always gets them.
The sun is definitely burning much hotter. I used to be a sun lover when I was young. I know what I felt back then. Now if I am outside, I feel the sun burning down on me and it feels as though I’m frying right through my clothing. I thought I was the only one who perceived that.
No, I have noticed the same thing for the last couple years. I was telling my husband last year that I used to love going outside for the first 10 minutes, even when it was really hot, to warm myself in the sun. It was a very comforting feeling. Now it feels like the sun instantly scalds my skin. I wonder if it's the sun itself, or did the elites that mess with our world accidentally thin the atmosphere or something, during their attempts to "save the planet?" Either way, God is allowing this and it definitely feels like a punishment, or prelude to the end of the world, which will perish by fire. The miracle of the sun at Fatima...the sun seeming to come close to the earth and dry everything up....sure seems like a portent of these times. Even the rain, when it comes, feels angry. It's like every cool front is a scary storm now and the rain comes down in violent sideways sheets. This last time it rained, the rain and wind slammed so hard against my back door that water began coming into the house!

Another big Sign at the moment is that time has speeded up even more than it already had. The days just wizz by. I take that as a mercy from God for the Tribulation that is upon us.

Just as a quick answer, time broken down into discrete units like seconds and minutes is obviously our invention. They are constant and do not change. Time as the measurement of change is a general philosophical definition. The sands in your egg timer are not speeding up nor the seconds in your watch. But that is not the whole story the perception of time, the movement from one moment or event to the next is another phenomenon. IMO.
I always thought that the sun danced in the sky, spun like a cartwheel, plunged toward the earth several times before returning to its original position. The evidence is incontrovertible. I was telling a friend who is a non-believer about this and he challenged me. His argument went like this: the sun can't have behaved like this because the whole world would have noticed something going on with the sun. Observers in Portugal saw the phenomenon some 40km away from Fatima, and there were reports of observers at sea some 100km distant who attested to strange behaviour of the sun, so it wasn't just a local phenomenon in Fatima. I recently listened to Ethan Muse on Cameron Bertuzzi's channel. I have to say he is a gift for Catholic Apologetics in general and a very talented debater and defender of the Faith, all the more so since he converted from atheism. Anyway, Ethan has done extensive studies on Fatima. I was surprised to learn that Ethan explained how the Miracle of Fatima was not a global phenomenon but yet was witnessed by thousands locally and by some up to 100km away. Ethan quotes a study which analysed the shadows from photographs taken at the time of the Miracle. By studying the shadows the investigator was able to estimate the vertical height in degress of the luminous object in the sky causing the shadows. This indicated that the luminous object in the sky could not have been the sun - as it was significantly lower than the known elevation of the sun in Fatima at that time of the day (perhaps by 10 or 20 degrees, I can't remember the exact details). Whatever this luminous object was, it also had the miraculous characteristic of being able to dry the clothes of the observers very quickly indeed. It makes sense to me, because as my friend said, if the sun itself had behaved in this way then it would have been noticeable on other continents of the earth. I think it is also worth keeping in mind that Our Lady, who announced the time of the future miracle 3 months in advance (to within an accuracy of minutes), also said that the Miracle would not be as strong or perhaps impressive as it could have been; the reason for this diminishment? Because the man who kidnapped the young seers and subjected them to torture in order to make them release the secrets of Fatima, was in fact a baptised Catholic. This supported or is consistent with the theology of the mystical body of Christ - that the sins of one member of the Body of Christ affect the whole Body.
Spot on! Time seems a phenomenon limited to man and earthly gravity. The further away you travel from our center of gravity here on earth time changes, slows down if you will. However, the angels are somehow confined to time. They do not know when the hour of the last judgement plays out, so they work within time. Confined seems too strong of a word. Obviously God is not effected. He knows all, past, present, future. Thus our sins and good works are always before Him in all one instance. That is why the psalmist cries out His mercy endures forever. Such a fun concept! Fun facts, we do not know who invented the first mechanical clock. And some of the first clocks were actually water clocks.
I've been kind of thinking that as time is bound up with matter, perhaps there is an overall speeding up of the decay of the created world due to sin, which we feel in the sense of time as well.
Lord of the Rings is inaccurate with wizards and magic. Tolkien portrays Gandalf as a good wizard, which is impossible because wizards are always evil. Also, Fr. Gabriel Amoroth ( the Vatican's former chief exorcist) is quoted as saying there is no good magic, magic is always evil. Gandalf, performing magic as a wizard in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is evil, but Tolkien portrays him as good. However, it is evil.
