I keep telling God that I am sorry for a sin I committed years ago. Trying to trust in His forgiveness. I brought it to confession to the best of my ability. Have been doing better lately thank God.
WONDERFUL now you can fully accept His grace AND TOTAL forgiveness. He has forgotten. Now your turn to move forward.
You've got to let it go Peter. That sin has been swallowed in the ocean of God's mercy. You have to forgive yourself. Jesus has forgiven and forgotten. Its you who hold on and I am pretty sure the enemy wants to keep it that way. It grieves our merciful Savior when you dont trust in His forgiveness.
Prayers that Denise may behold the Son and His Queen Mother soon in the glory of Heaven! May her purgation be brief!
Started reading the autobiography of Saint Teresa of Avila. It looks like she went through terrible trials and darkness in her own life.
I'm struggling and feel out of my depths and a bit despondent at the moment. I try to reach out to Jesus and God.
I kind of think in my own life if suddenly I had no Crosses I would be much , much more concerned than if I had none at all. As you point out all the Saints hung on the Cross. Poor Fulton Sheen said before he died that no one will ever know how much he suffered. You could actually see his suffering in his face and on his body. It was as if someone had worked him over with an iron bar. Everyone is different and everyone's Cross is different. In the case of Fulton it came across from a lot of very, I would say bitchy, very, very malevolent Clerics who were totally malevolent. His own people, so to speak turning against him His opposite numbers. Very like Padre Pio . The Cross we are sent is the Cross we need the most , the one that will do us the most good. It centers on the virtues that God most wants to instill in us. I mention this because if you pray and think about the particular Cross you've been sent and why it came. This might be a big help in understanding and coming to terms with and accepting. In the case of Fulton I would guess it had a lot to do with the lesson of humility and forgiveness and meekness. Its good to have a birds eye view of things sometimes.
But anyway I pray for you everyday like clockwork and very much am inspired with the Way you carry this , huge, huge Cross. I can't imagine.
