In most cases in history, the ordinary people did not fare well when they rose up against their leaders, despite the possibility they might have been well justified. Our Lord would not have wanted His loved ones to suffer in futile insurrections. He certainly gave full warning to the Jews who found themselves losing all forty years after they crucified Him. This may also have been the reason He told His disciples to obey their rabbis and to do what they told them, despite His spending so much of His ministry arguing with the scribes and Pharisees. Apparently, the Pharisees had a lot of power over the people and could do a lot of harm to them.
What a strange day today was. Rain threatened all day but never actually came. As night fell, my son came running inside shouting about the sky, and when I went out to look, there was a circle in the dark night sky that was red and pulsing. As I watched, it spread larger and larger and seemed brightest closer to the horizon. Half the sky was red and pulsing. It seemed like the sky was on fire, or the ground was on fire and the sky was mirroring it. I called my sister who lives 45 minutes north of me, and even though this phenomenon was south of me, she could see it from her house. The pulsing red sky lasted for maybe an hour, and then all of a sudden, it stopped, and the sky instantly went back to normal. I have no idea if they're connected at all, but earlier in the day there was a plane doing what clearly looked like cloud seeding, going round in circles. That was the first time I've ever seen circles like that. It's usually lines, criss-crossing or parallel. Anyway, the pulsing red sky threw us all for a loop. There are various unsatisfying explanations on the internet, but I've never seen it before in my life. It was not heat lightning. It was a steady pulse, and it instantly turned off like someone flipped a switch. My sister sent me a picture that her daughter drew, of a red light streaming through the sky. It said on the top "Not the sun." Oddly enough, at the same time, my son showed me a picture he had run off to color of the red circle in the sky. A red circle with red light pouring down out of it. It was so strange that both of our children felt the urge to run inside and draw a picture of it. My 3 year old, when we were all outside wondering what was happening, ran inside to pray to Mary, he said. When we announced it was over later, we found him standing in front of a statue of Mary, holding a little picture of Mary in his hand. He said simply, "Mary did it." I don't know what to make of any of it. We're supposed to get 3 days straight of rain starting tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

I did get a couple pictures, but they're not great. It was so dark. Our rain is supposed to start in a few hours and hopefully last around 3 days. I'm praying that it does arrive. We need it so badly!
I just looked online and it said the red sky was a dust storm. There were pictures of it. It was pulsating.
We've been getting steady rain for hours now, praise God! Our parched land is just drinking and drinking it up. No water in the creeks yet.

I have to go outside first thing in the morning to take the puppy out to house train her. It is early and dark, about 5 am . So for the first time in Spain I got to see that the sky was full of stars! It is so dark in the country, in the city I never got to see it in all its beauty and grandeur. Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth His handiwork. So what King David is saying here is that the starry skies are themselves signs. It must be so difficult for an atheist to look at the sky and not believe.
