On March 25, 1984, the Pope, making the consecration before the statue of Our Lady of Fatima, departed from his prepared text to add the words highlighted above and translated below. The words he added at this point indicate clearly, that the Pope knew then that the consecration of the world done that day did not fulfill the requests of Our Lady of Fatima. After performing the consecration of the world proper, a few paragraphs above, the Pope added the highlighted words which translate: “Enlighten especially the peoples of which you yourself are awaiting our consecration and confiding.” This clearly shows he knows Our Lady is awaiting the Pope and bishops to consecrate certain peoples to her, that is the peoples of Russia. Why would the pope have said this if he didn't himself believe Russia had not been consecrated? This makes it very clear to me. There should be no question. We should all be praying that this happens before it is to late.
. The following is a post that I made to another forum in response to a post from a polite Protestant. I had asked everyone to join me in filing a petition with the Holy Father to make the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart as she requested at Fatima. Essentially, his response questioned whether we needed the Pope to get involved in politics. It may be helpful to a certain extent in your dealing with Protestants.....dunno. Cub XXXX, You do not understand. Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary has nothing to do with secular or governmental power or control of any jurisdiction (notwithstanding the Vatican, which is a separate country). This is a topic which involves several interrelated topics. The details of which are addressed in the links provided in the OP http://www.fatima.org/ and the ones that follow. I will attempt to provide a very short (actually too short) summary. Adam & Eve’s sin was a very grave sin. It is difficult for us in our current state to fully-comprehend the seriousness of such sin. Simply stated, their sin was so great because they were not supposed to sin at all. They had the preternatural gift of integrity – their intellect being far superior to their free will (in our fallen state, our free will is greater than our intellect.). Upon being cast out of the garden, Our Heavenly Father promised that a woman would crush Satan’s head: “I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel." (Gn 3:15). In the Latin Vulgate (THE Bible) transcribed from the original texts into Latin by St. Jerome (289+ A.D.) after having been defined by Pope St. Damassus I (1), it reads: “Inimicitias ponam inter te et mulierem, et semen tuum et semen illius: ipsa conteret caput tuum, et tu insidiaberis calcaneo ejus.”NB: the femine case “ipsa”. (2) As we know, Our Heavenly Father made a covenant with Abraham and promised to send a Messiah from his lineage. That is to say, that his race was “chosen” to be the race from which the Messiah would be born. That covenant was realized in the birth of Jesus, the Christ. Further, it was the Will of Our Heavenly Father: • that His only begotten Son take on human flesh; • that His only begotten Son take on human flesh through a woman; • that this woman agree willingly to participate in God’s plan for the salvation of mankind by becoming the Spouse of the Holy Spirit and the Mother of the Son of God; • that this woman consent willingly to offer her Son, and His Son, as a sacrifice to the Father; and • that this woman agree willingly not to interfere with God’s plan for the sacrifice of their Son to the Father, in spite of her heartfelt agony incurred in witnessing His suffering and immolation. The Blessed Virgin agreed to this arrangement at the Annunciation by St. Gabriel with her fiat: “Be it done unto me according to thy word.” (Lk 1:38 ) As we know in various places in the New Testament, the Blessed Virgin “kept all things in her heart” (e.g. Lk 2). There are various forms of martyrdom. While we are familiar with martyrdom of the flesh (life), there is also martyrdom of the heart. Indeed, Jesus is our Savior, but the Blessed Mother co-operated with the salvation of man in a unique way. She provided the Eternal Word the very flesh (Jn 1) that was used as the instrument of sacrifice; and she did not interfere with such sacrifice, in spite of the fact that it almost killed her to watch her Son suffer (especially, after having agreed to it in advance). Put yourself in her place, and reflect upon that. Thus, we see that Jesus was sacrificed not only by His Father but by His human mother, as well. God the Father recognized her sacrifice, and He wants the world to recognize it as well. In Medieval times, chapter and verse numbers were added to the Holy Bible for ease of reference. With that in mind, consider the following citations from the Revelation of John: "Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple; and there were flashes of lightning, voices, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail. And a great portent appeared in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; she was with child and she cried out in her pangs of birth, in anguish for delivery. And another portent appeared in heaven; behold, a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems upon his heads. His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven, and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to bear a child, that he might devour her child when she brought it forth; she brought forth a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne, and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which to be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days." (Rv. 11:19-12:6) "And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman who brought forth the man child. And there were given to the woman two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the desert, unto her place, where she is nourished for a time and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth, after the woman, water, as it were a river: that he might cause her to be carried away by the river. And the earth helped the woman: and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth." (Rv. 12:13-16) The Blessed Virgin Mary is the 'New Ark of the Covenant', and indeed a number of the Church Fathers referred to her as such. While the Old Testament ark of the covenant carried the written word of God; for nine months, the Blessed Virgin carried the Incarnate Word (Jn 1:1-14). (NB: You will recall that the book of Revelation was not written in the literal sense, but in apocalyptic.). .
continued.... The Old Testament ark of the covenant remains on earth hidden (2 Mc 2:5) (3). It can not possibly be in Heaven. Whereas, the New Ark of the Covenant was assumed body and soul into Heaven. Therefore, the Ark of the Covenant that St. John saw in Heaven had to be the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God. The following is just an interesting note… In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue. When you arrange the names of his ships in the following order, they make a sentence: Santa Maria pinta nina. This translates to : “Saint Mary paints little woman.”. A few years later, she did just that. In 1531, the Blessed Virgin appeared to St. Juan Diego in Mexico. At such time she appeared as the woman clothed with the sun and was standing on a serpent, crushing its head. Several miracles were performed evidencing her apparitions. To prove to the local bishop that she had been appearing to St. Juan as he had stated, she caused her image to be imprinted miraculously upon the front of his tilma for the bishop to see. The tilma and the image are present in the Cathedral in Mexico City for all to see. It is 500 years old, and should have deteriorated long ago, but remain in pristine shape. St. Juan referred to her in his native Aztec dialect as “quatlasupe”, which means “she who crushes the head of the serpent”. The Spaniards mistook the Aztec for a Spanish name: “Guadalupe”. In any event, she told us that being “clothed with the sun” means that she (while a human saint) has been given power by Almighty God to fight the Great Dragon (which is Satan manifested in Marxist Atheism - a product of Freemasonry, the Beast Like a Leopard (5) ) Fast forward to 1917. In a small village in Portugal named Fatima, Our Lady appeared to three shepherd children. On the day of the last apparition, it poured down rain, and all people and the ground was soaked. Records indicate that 70,000 Catholics, non-Catholics and journalists were present. A miracle of the sun occurred in which it began to spin and emit colored rays. The sun advanced toward the earth, and the people feared it was the end. Almost immediately thereafter, the sun receded back into its rightful place. The people and the ground were dry. Scientists state that the energy required to accomplish this in such a short period of time, would have consumed their flesh. You will find the original news articles at the site provided in the OP. During her apparitions, she imparted messages the most noteworthy being referred to in 3 parts (6). Amongst other things, at Fatima in 1917, Our Lady called for the Consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart by all of the bishops together with the Pope. This is a solemn prayer recited by all of the bishops in union with the Pope. Our Lady said to Sister Lucy (one of the visionaries - text of Second Part of the message of Our Lady of Fatima): “To save them [poor sinners who are on the road to hell], God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end [i.e. WWI]; but if people do not cease offending God, a worse war will break out during the reign of Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that He is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions against the Church and against the Holy Father. To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays. If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions against the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated.” We have been told that God the Father wants a public prayer of consecration as per above, for all the world to see that what follows is the crushing blow to Satan from the Immaculate Heart of Mary. As we can see, Russia has been spreading her errors (Marxist Atheism) throughout the world for almost 100 years now. Recently, Our Lady is calling all to petition the Pope to make the consecration, as apparently Putin is about to make a major move. OK. "I shall return Here a Seventh Time" The most striking thing is this. On 13 May 1917 when Our Lady appeared, Lucia asked Her what She wanted and Our Lady said. "I have come to ask you to come here for six months on the 13th day of the month, at this same hour. Later I shall say who I am and what I desire. And ...........I shall return here yet a seventh time............." When the Pope finally makes the Consecration of Russia could this be que for Our lady to reappear at Fatima.
