View attachment 3021 Karl Wojtyla working in the quarry. Very inspiring to see him as an ordinary man, laid back but hard working. Seems to be great camaraderie with the other workers. Notice the scapular. Even after being shot, he told the surgeons not to remove it in theatre.
Your image Torrentum, of John Paul II, working reminds me of this image. Details below. Lunch atop a Skyscraper. "The photograph depicts eleven men eating lunch, seated on a girder with their feet dangling 256 meters (840 feet) above the New York City streets. The men have no safety harness, which was linked to the Great Depression, when people were willing to take any job regardless of safety issues. The photo was taken on September 20, 1932 on the 69th floor of the RCA Building during the last months of construction."
"Pope Francis Corpus Domini procession from St. John at the Lateran Basilica to St. Mary Major Basilica to mark the feast of the Body and Blood of Christ, in Rome, Italy" 2015
"Franciscan Father Jerome Massimino blesses a New York City police officer's horse. Police and clergy have a unique relationship but more often than not both groups are able to work together"
Quite something hey! One obviously needs a good head for heights, and good hands - lest anything slip. Very little room for error up there. God bless!

Perhaps some may find this inspirational and others less so.. depending on HOW 'does one spend their time.' But. Humbug! Here is soul all of just 97 years of age; who keeps on rolling and rolling - pun intended. Some people don't know when to retire. "Space Station" The old gal has a sense of humour and a lot of life to boot.. yes, yes, pun intended. She navigates for her son; who is no spring chicken himself. The pair like to do a bit of rally driving here and there. In-fact the pair will embark on 5,892 miles (9,483km) across 15 states in the US this month. That's quite a bit of endurance for the young; let alone these bump and grind speed merchants.. now I feel old. God bless!
