Yet, Stanley Jaki, physicist, philosoper, historian of science and very orthodox Catholic priest, said that Catholicism requires a rigid materialism when it comes to physics. This is necessary on the grounds of Realism. The materialist error is to apply it beyond this narrow realm, or to go to the extreme that there is nothing else but matter.

In Theory any flow of Lava to the surface of a volcano releases pressure so yes "but" theirs always a "but" when the magma /lava removes itself from where it once was it either draws more lava from somewhere else to fill the void, now the problem is the lava/ magma is creating more voids which can or should cause earthquakes ...hope that makes sense

La Palma volcano eruption update: new cracks open at cone generating new lava flows

With the eruption approaching two weeks of activity, there is no sign of it ending anytime soon. Instead, the magma supply rate seems to be more or less stable, judging from visible lava output and volcanic tremor, which remains at high levels.
The cone complex above the original eruptive fissure is showing signs of becoming more and more unstable, as several new effusive vents have been opening up during the past 12 hours or so.
At 10.15 a.m. local time this morning, observers on location reported seeing new gas and ash emerging from what is likely another vent forming at the NW base of the cone, visible in the attached pictures by the bluish haze behind the tree line, obviously coming from an area at the feet of the cone.
Over night, ash fall affected a wide area to the north of the site. It left a deposit of at least 1 cm in El Paso, but even in 15-20 km distance, a black layer of sandy ash has covered surfaces, forcing people to constantly clean roofs, solar panels and other surfaces.
Lava continues to flow into the ocean - risk of collapse increases
The new lava delta on the west coast near Playa Nueva has been growing surprisingly quickly, as the embedded bathymetric map shows:
Once the delta expands further westwards, it will be sitting on steeper underwater slopes, and the risk of gravitational collapses increases. Such collapses can be very dangerous as they usually trigger strong explosions, large acid steam plumes and could even generate small local tsunamis. As the situation is quickly evolving, we will likely post another update in the evening.

    Warning.......

My above post from volcano discovery contains vital info that needs to be considered and watched over the next few days Ive copied and pasted them below......

yes Indy this is the first time that the volcano guys have actually gone public with what I and Brian mentioned last week that is the lava reaching the sea and weakening or unstabling the shelf below...we have got to remember its what lies beneath the water line is the most dangerous the volcano is only the tip of the iceberg ;)

To explain a little bit clearer on my thought pattern, when the studies where done back in 2000 and they noted the western flank being unstable a lot of science was placed on possible eruptions earth quakes etc what wasn't looked at was lava flow increasing weight to an already unstable shelf and tipping the scales, pulling said shelf away from the cliff face.. a bit like a bus hanging over a cliff..

Thank you John for flagging. Is this potential eruption and local tsunamis imminent as in the next 24 hours. ?

Cant call that at all mike but the new delta is growing fast and expanding in the direction of danger..

Twice a few days ago my St Michael the Archangel medal which is usually buried at the bottom of my trouser pocket appeared, this never happened before. First on my bed and later on a shelf, I think it was on his feast day. I feel he is very much involved in what is going on right now and is seeking our prayers.

    St. Michael the Archangel,
    defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
    and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
    by the power of God,
    thrust into hell Satan,
    and all the evil spirits,
    who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. .

I hear you Indy...after all the recent forest fires etc and now this eruption its hard not to compare it to the four trumpets...Heaven help us...

Then the first angel sounded his trumpet, and hail and fire mixed with blood were hurled down upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, along with a third of the trees and all the green grass. Then the second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned to blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed

It’s not even in the news here in Miami. Nobody seems concerned. People are working, partying, even planning for trips to Europe. I cancelled a trip to a wedding in Ibiza, but my friends just laugh and think I’m silly for worrying. I pray they are right. Conchita lives in Long Island, so, she will be alive to announce the miracle. That gives me hope that NY will be ok.

I received this “word” today after Mass sitting by the statue of Therese. Christ is our only salvation. I was prompted to read the following from Act chapter 4. I share it with you. All us in God’s hands

He is ‘the stone rejected by you,* the builders, which has become the cornerstone.’* d There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved.”
